≪문화유씨가정보≫(1565)를 통해 보는 여말・조선전기 엘리트

《문화유씨가정보》는 문화유씨 시조 柳車達의 내외자손을 기록한 족보이다. 내외손보의 특성상 혼인관계를 통해 이어진 당대(고려~조선전기)의 엘리트들이 포괄적으로 망라되어 있어, 이 시기 지배층 연구에 도움을 준다. 이 글에서는 여말선초 신진사대부를 주축으로 하는 사회세력 교체론, 그리고 조선전기 훈구-사림 대립의 역사상(歷史像)에 대한 기존 논의에 주의하면서, 족보에 기록된 인물들과 그들 관계의 구조에 대해 살펴본다. 이를 통해, 여말~조선전기 지배층 성격의 일단을 살펴보고자 하며, 이를 향후 연구를 위한 출발점으로 삼고자 한다. 《Mun Hwa Liu Ssi Gajungbo》(文化柳氏嘉靖譜) is a genealogical record of the sons and daughters of culture Yoo Shijo. Due to the characteristics of internal and external insurance, the elites of the contemporary period (Koryeo ~ Chosun Electric), which were connected through marriage, are comprehensively included, helping to study the ruling class. This article examines the figures of the genealogy and the structure of their relations, paying attention to the theory of social power replacement, which focuses on the late Yumyeoncho, and the existing discussions on the history of the Chosun Dynasty Hungu-Sarim Conflict. Through this, I would like to look at one end of the ruling class of Yeomal ~ Chosun Electric, and use this as a starting point for future research.

설·추석 명절 공휴일의 계보학 - 20세기 한국 ‘국민문화’ 형성의 한 경로에 대하여

이 글은 한국 현대 사회에서 전통의 의미가 무엇인지 질문하기 위한 한 방법으로 전통 명절인 설·추석이 오늘날 근대국민국가의 시간관리체계의 일환인 법정공휴일에 포함되기까지의 과정을 장기사적 시야에서 살펴본 것이다. 왜 많은 명절 중에 설·추석이 공휴일 체계에 들어가게 되었고, 또 어떤 명절은 배제되게 되었는가. 짧은 시기에 대한 분석으로는 이러한 질문에 답하는 데 한계가 있기 때문에 전통명절과 현대 공휴일이 가지는 교집합을 중심으로 장기적인 관점에서 논의하였다. 또, 명절과 공휴일에 대한 공식제도적 측면만이 아니라 그것의 형성에 영향을 미치는 사회적 주체의 상호작용에도 주목하였다. 조선후기 시간관념(세시)과 그에 관련된 실천(풍속)의 제도화로서 명절의 존재는 근대전환기를 통과하면서 다양한 주체가 작용하는 경로를 거쳐서 오늘날 ‘민족의 명절’이라는 ‘국민문화’의 기원이 되었다. 한말 근대국가로의 개혁과정에서는 서구식 달력체계가 수용되고 국가적 기념일 제도가 형성되면서 대민적 공공기관을 중심으로 민간의 명절 관념이 공휴일 체계와 조우하게 되었다. 일제강점기 국가부재의 상황에서도 민간의 명절 관념은 공공화, 제도화되어 갔으며, 이것은 해방 이후 공휴일 체계로 이어지게 된다. 이같은 과정 속에서 많은 대중으로부터 수평적인 참여를 구가하던 실천들, 예컨대 단오 명절의 실천은 공휴일 체계 속으로 편입되지 못하였고, 반대로 설, 추석의 가족적 실천이 공휴일에 포함되게 되었다. 이러한 현상은 한국사회의 일상문화를 담당하는 주체가 누구인가, 그리고 그러한 주체의 형성에 필요한 조건은 무엇인가 라는 질문을 남긴다. This article is a way of asking about the meaning of tradition in modern Korean society, and takes a long-term historical view of the process of the traditional holidays, Lunar New Year and Chuseok, which are part of the time management system of modern people today. Why did the Lunar New Year and Chuseok fall into the holiday system during many holidays, and some holidays were excluded? Because there is a limit to the analysis of the local area of the short period of time, the long-term perspective was discussed focusing on the intersection of traditional and modern holidays. In addition, attention was paid not only to the official institutional aspects of holidays, but also to the practices of the masses responding to the system. As an institutionalization of time-concepts (sesi) and related practices (trends) during the late Joseon Dynasty, the existence of holidays was the origin of the ‘national culture’ of today’s national holiday through the path of various subjects as they passed through the modern transition period. As the Western calendar system was accepted and the national holiday system was formed in the process of reform into the modern state at the end of the Joseon Dynasty, the public-private holiday concept came to encounter the public holiday system. Japanese colonial era Even in the absence of a state, the concept of a private holiday became public and institutionalized, which led to a public holiday system after liberation. In this process, the practice of horizontal participation from many people, especially the custom of Dano holiday, was not incorporated into the holiday system, while the family practice of Lunar New Year and Chuseok, was included in the holiday. This phenomenon leaves the question of who is responsible for the daily culture of Korean society and what are the necessary conditions for the formation of such a subject.

조선 전기 지배층의 기록으로서 『문화유씨가정보』에 대한 일분석 - 세대별 변화 및 『문과방목』과의 비교를 중심으로 -

이 글은 현존 최고(最古) 족보의 하나인 『문화유씨가정보』(1565)와 그 수록 인물들에 대한 검토를 통해 조선 전기 지배층의 특징을 파악해보고자 한 시도의 일환이다. 고려후기 이래 『문화유씨가정보』의 수록자들은 권문세가로 이름을 날린 문화유씨와 혈연적으로 가까운 인물들로서 당대의 지배층이 다수 포함되어 있다고 할 수 있다. 세대가 내려가고 수록자들이 늘어남에 따라 『문화유씨가정보』의 수록인물은 점차적으로 조선 전기 전체 지배층의 내혼(endogamy) 집단에 가까워지고 있다. 이 글에서는 이러한 전망을 제시한 후 문과 급제자 정보 등 여타의 자료들도 활용하여 그 근거를 제시하고자 하였다. 『문화유씨가정보』에 나타난 16세기 조선 지배층의 인맥은 고려시대까지 이어지는 측면이 있으며 이는 종래의 분석 방식인 문과 급제자 집계만으로는 파악하기 어려운 내용이라고 할 수 있다. This article is part of an attempt to understand the characteristics of the ruling class in the early Joseon Dynasty through a review of the 『Munhwa Yu Clan's Genealogy of 1565』, one of the oldest existing genealogies, and the people included in it. Since the late Goryeo Dynasty, the people included in this Genealogy are those who were blood-related to the Munhwa Yu clan, who made a name for themselves as a powerful family, and it can be said that they include many of the ruling class of the time. As the generations go down and the number of people included increases, the people included in this Genealogy are gradually getting closer to the endogamy group of the entire ruling class in the early Joseon Dynasty. In this article, after presenting this outlook, I tried to present the basis by using other data, such as information on those who passed the civil service exam(Gukjomunkwabangmok). The personal connections of the Joseon ruling class in the 16th century shown in 『Munhwa Yu Clan's Genealogy of 1565』 have aspects that extend to the Goryeo Dynasty, and this can be said to be difficult to understand through the traditional analysis method of counting people who passed the civil service exam.
