The oriental makeup culture usually refers to northeast makeup culture such as Chinese, Japanese and Korean"s. Among them, Chinese makeup gave us diverse and abundant ideas that are hardly found in modern times. Although there are many differences between Western and Oriental makeup culture, Oriental makeup culture is very unique and practical as stage makeup today and is well recognized as beauty makeup in daily life.<BR> In Tang dynasty, one of bordering countries that much influenced to Korea in social and cultural aspects, it was prosperous without being invaded by other countries during some periods and this stability in life made it possible to result in the most brilliant women"s decoration in Chines history. This security also originated in the splendid results of women"s clothes and makeup culture. This formed women"s diverse makeup in Tang Dynasty and becomes very important material of oriental makeup these days.<BR> The purpose of this thesis is to classify makeup as skin makeup, eyebrow makeup, forehead makeup, cheek makeup, lips makeup according to women"s makeup order in Tang Dynasty, and to deal with each features and expressed methods.<BR> The second purpose of this thesis is to analyze the beauty of women body"s decoration and arrange the field of oriental makeup through considering those day"s original models and makeup culture in Tang Dynasty.

1950년대 록 음악(Rock Music)에 표현된 토탈코디네이션 연구

In 1950s, rock & roll spoke for the culture of the young generation. With rock & roll, young fashion was created, and the messages from rock music contributed in shaping the popular culture. The young generation designed their own image through rock stars and showed much interest and response to the rock music. This phenomenon existed because the rock stars spoke for the mind of the young generation at those times.<BR> In this research on the effects of music on total coordination, the relationship between the effects rock music has on total coordination and the consequent establishment of newly popularized styles is illustrated through an analysis of rock & roll stars, who were the first to approach the public through a medium called television. Also, this research focuses on how the interrelationship of music and total coordination is expressed in the form of popular culture by looking at how the accessories were used as a method to convey messages of the musicians and the young generation.

The research of methods take preceding thesis and pictures of wedding studios. It is applied as various ways by establishing and popularizing its position as another cultural shape. With the development of the cosmetics industry in 2010's along with the history of make-up, the demand for women's cosmetics increased continually. The outstanding trend of the wedding make-up in the year of 2011 is the natural make-up. Under the current atmosphere the natural make-up and point make-up on eyes would be preferred steadily. This work is convinced by showing much suggestions on the strategy establishment and management decision in making of wedding coordination. With this research the wedding make-up artists are hoped to study much and learn the lastest wedding coordination trend. I hope that such studies on make-up as a new practical education will be activated. As the participation of women increases dramatically in the labor market, the late marria ges of women are becoming more and more common. Accordingly, the younger looking coordination tends to be preferred for the bride. As the same, in 2011, the wedding coo rdination emphasizing the natural beauty based on each bride's individuality and image have taken the lead in the trend.

The Korean traditional figures show the distinguishing mark. These figures reflect the thoughts of the people, the results from the cultural characters and the creative acts in lives of Korean people.<BR> Specially, The Korean traditional figures show the respect for the nature and the universe. In addition, They reflect the humanity in harmony with the natural world.<BR> This study is on the Art Make-Up Design which is expressed by the people who particularly use the Korean traditional figures.<BR> The Art Make-Up is a type of the Art which especially decorates the human body for showing the new fashion and the pursuit of new age. The Art Make-Up has not only social and cultural functions significantly but also other functions expressive of the introspection.<BR> Today, The Modern Art Make-Up has also communicational functions like expressing one"s feelings. By means of the traditional figures, the Art Make-Up shows the renewal images of the Korea, rather than the concept of a simple cosmetic function.<BR> In this research, I hope we should recognize the great value of traditional figures in Korea for the Art Make-Up. In addition, I expect this study would be useful to the people who would make a study of the Art Make-Up which they could apply the Korean traditional figures to.

From what time man began to making up his face? Though having been being greatly worried about this question, we could hardly answer to it. The aspect of cosmetic history, however, has been changed by periods. The Korean aesthetic consciousness, worded as "A beautiful mind dwells in a beautiful body," has been impressed on our life from old times - that is, it emphasizes a gentlemanly attitude in the inside, while it makes much of cleanness in the outside. Seen from cosmetics made of natural materials, which have been used in bathing, such aesthetic consciousness could be found enough. The cosmetic materials and manufacturing technology have been introduced into Korea through the exchange with the adjacent nations of China and Japan, and which have been gradually developed by ages. Throughout the Joseon Dynasty of 519 years, from King Taejo who founded the dynasty in 1392 to King Sunjong, the last king of the dynasty(1907-1910), 27 kings succeeded the throne one after another, while on the other hand simplicity had been most emphasized from socioeconomic aspects in Korean history and cosmetics had been developed briskly under the transient situation of modernization. This study, thus, focused on the Joseon Dynasty, was attempted to generally understand cosmetic culture of the Joseon Dynasty and to examine diverse natural materials used in cosmetics of the times to be a help for cosmetics development, in connection with the recent circumstances of active cosmetics development using natural materials with less ill effects on the skin and better efficacy than chemical ones. For this, literatures, pictures, separate volumes and books of history concerning cosmetic culture were examined in this study.
