After the notice for the reorganization of the primary and secondary school curriculum in 2009, the importance of character education through whole curriculum which can be done by school, home and community together has been emphasized. However, the discussion about concept scope and application program’s materiality of Na-num Education has been insufficient. This study explores the effectiveness of Na-num Education as a part of character education for elementary school students by comparing pretest and post test and suggests some improvements of program. As a result of this study, the effectiveness of na-num Education showed statistically significant. It gives a positive implication for applicability and improvement of Na-num Education as a part of character education. Based on this results, this study suggests institutional and practical improvements to apply Na-num Education in school with local communities.
