This paper proposes a new method to determine the recognition units for large vocabulary continuous speech recognition (LVCSR) in Korean by applying unsupervised segmentation and merging. In the proposed method, a text sentence is segmented into morphemes and position information is added to morphemes. Then submorpheme units are obtained by splitting the morpheme units through the maximization of posterior probability terms. The posterior probability terms are computed from the morpheme frequency distribution, the morpheme length distribution, and the morpheme frequency-of-frequency distribution. Finally, the recognition units are obtained by sequentially merging the submorpheme pair with the highest frequency. Computer experiments are conducted using a Korean LVCSR with a 100k word vocabulary and a trigram language model obtained by a 300 million eojeol (word phrase) corpus. The proposed method is shown to reduce the out-of-vocabulary rate to 1.8% and reduce the syllable error rate relatively by 14.0%.
식적(食積) 및 음허(陰虛)로 인한 해수 환자의 임상적 특성 분석

Cough is a common clinical problem to which various etiologies are attributable. In Korean medicine there are differentiations in etiology such as food-accumulation and Yin-deficiency. This study was aimed to analyze the relations between the time of cough and Korean syndrome differentiations and to compare the symptoms of Korean syndrome differentiations (food-accumulation and Yin-deficiency). Sixty-two cough patients were analyzed and classified into one of two syndrome differentiations by etiology. We compared the time of coughing and symptomatic characteristics of two: such as symptom differences and change of severity after treatment. Patients with food-accumulation were more prevalent than patients with Yin-deficiency. Among symptoms, anorexia, dyspepsia, nausea and nasal discharge were more prevalent in food-accumulation while pruritus of throat was prevalent in Yin-deficiency. Coughing at night was prevalent in Yin-deficiency and coughing at rising hour was prevalent in food-accumulation.

To achieve soft switching in wide range operation point, ZVT (Zero Voltage Transition) soft switching technique can be used in boost PFC (Power Factor Correction) converter. But because it uses additional switch to make the soft switching condition, the efficiency of converter changes according to the operation of a operation time of additional switch. This paper presents the optimization of duty in MOSFET to maximize the efficiency when using zero voltage transition soft switching technique in conventional boost PFC converter. It describes the optimum point with the relationship of switching loss of main converter and conduction loss of auxiliary circuit. To get the fitted graphs of switching loss of boost switch and conduction loss of resonant switch, it uses curve fitting tool of MATLAB. Boost PFC converter is evaluated based on PSIM and converter operation sequence, switching loss and converter efficiency is also presented.
