With the advent of a global market based on the super-highway information network, the digital contents industry has now become the most popular industry in the 21st century. Among the digital contents industries, the animation industry has emerged as a higher value-added culture contents business with a strong possibility of expanding its operation from the field of image and character to the copyright area. Yet, the overall market structure has not been consolidated except for a few successful projects because of the sharp decline in 2D animation and the upward trend in overseas animation. The present study aims to analyze the nature of the digital contents business and the current trend of the overseas digital contents industries. Also, this study is intended to examine the relationship between the direction of the animation industry and the development of the digital contents industry.

Recently, as the usage of multimedia information is getting larger, it is required to develop the post-office structure for managing multimedia information more efficiently. Thus in this paper, we propose a post-office structure which manages the formal or unformal multimedia informations more efficiently and sends the usable information to the users more promptly in the internet. We use a fuzzy filtering method for the proposed post-office structure. The related multimedia information is efficiently managed by the fuzzy filtering method.

The next generation of mobile terminals will meet users' various demands. This will be carried out through the convergence of information and telecommunication technologies, by unifying the functions of the handy terminal such as cellular phones, wireless LANs, portable Internet, DMBs, multimedia, mobile games and sensors (smart-tags and biometrics) into a single user interface. In addition, while the conventional mobile terminal is designated as the cellular phone appropriate for the single wireless connection, the future one will be developed into multiband/multi-mode open mobile computing terminal based on SDR. This study plans to examine the minimum requirements and the core technologies for the second generation of the mobile terminal.

This paper is to research the realization and the utilization which members, under the circumstance of intranet in cyber university, may use through messenger function. This information is constructed on the intranet. In addition, this study deals with the information of the realization and the utilization, which is applied by database. To embody intelligent messenger, JMF, RMI, XML techniques are proposed. Using the database of university they provide personalize information which is suitable for the needs of each user and enables to manage the group effectively as well as message transmission and chatting service between members.

The traffic engineering consists of traffic management, capacity management and network planning. In this paper, we present the capacity management function in traffic engineering for next generation multimedia internet services. The link capacity design, shortest-route design and multiple-time network design model is presented. Finally, day-load variation design model and traffic forecasting/reservation model for internet traffic are introduced.

A multimedia CBT system is the educational training system which conveys the educational contents and is utilized as an evaluating instrument. Because there is individual studies through the interaction between computer and learners, we can achieve the effectiveness of education more highly and can adjust the level of studies depending upon individual capability. Multimedia CBT system utilizes a variety of media, so it enlightens the intent of learners, higher than the exiting CBT system and it has higher effectiveness in transmiting information. Although many people has recognized the advantage of CBT system, there were not many uses because of difficulties in installing computer and in developing coursware. I have illustrated the fields of hardware, software, courseware and the like to utilize the CBT system more effectively. To take advantage of multimedia system as an educational instrument, we should not just focus upon the uses of mechanical function, and should not provide educational program just for entertainment. Considering theoratical background of CBT system systematically, it should be directed to maximize the function of newmedia.

The revolution of ubiquitous has been achieved at the united space of on-line and off-line through the intelligent combination which is carried out between physical and cyber space. The space of cyber is able to create new ubiquitous room by natural combination with life space. The space is the mysterious world as well as the unlimited space of opportunity which human beings have not experienced yet. The purpose of this study is to research the results of project which have been accomplished by each country and to study the current situation of the technique of ubiquitous computing which has been progressed. It is likely to occur the many cases that violate individual privacy at the world which is possible to communicate with codeless equipments. It is expected this research to be a basic data to prepare for the world of ubiquitous to be coming in the future.
