Friction stir welding is a relatively new solid state joining process. A6061-T6 and A5052-H32 aluminium alloy has gathered wide acceptance in the fabrication of light weight structures requiring a high strength to weight ratio and good corrosion resistance. This friction stir process uses a non-consumable tool to generate frictional heat in the abutting surfaces. The welding parameters such as tool rotational speed, welding speed, etc., and tool pin profile play a major role in deciding FSP zone formation in A6061-T6 and A5052-H32 aluminium alloy. Three different tool pin profiles have been used to fabricate the dissimilar butt joints. The formation of friction stir processed zone has been analysed macroscopically. Tensile properties of the joints have been evaluated and correlated with the friction stir processed zone formation.

적외선 열화상을 이용한 비파괴검사는 다양한 산업분야로 활용도가 확장중이다. 또한, 적외선 열화상을 이용한 용접부의 비파괴검사도 다양하게 진행중이다. 현재는 전기저항 점용접부의 비파괴검사는 방사선 검사를 주로 진행하고 있다. 본 연구는 광 적외선 열화상 비파괴검사를 이용하여 전기저항 점용접부의 용융부(너깃)의 영역을 측정하였다. 실험결과 펄스 적외선 열화상검사 방법을 활용할 경우 짧은 시간안에 명확한 용융부의 검출이 가능함을 확인하였다. The non-destructive testing using infrared thermography is extended to a variety of industries and non-destructive testing of welds using infrared thermography is also in progress in various ways. Currently, a non-destructive testing of electrical resistance spot welds which is mainly used is Radiography Testing. This study detected area of spot welds nugget using optical-infrared thermography. In the results, it is possible for detecting defects of nugget in a short period of time using pulse-infrared thermography.

실시간 운영 체제(Real-Time Operating System)는 특정 태스크가 정해진 시간 안에 수행될 수 있도록 시간 결정성(Determinism)을 보장하는 운영 체제이다. 실시간 운영체제는 멀티태스킹(Multitasking) 및 ITC(InterTask Communication 혹은 IPC, InterProcess Communication)을 제공한다는 점에서는 일반 운영체제인 Unix™, Linux™, Windows™ 등과 같지만, 시간 결정성을 보장한다는 점에서 일반 운영 체제와 다르다. 또한 실시간 운영 체제를 포함한 임베디드 시스템(Embedded System)은 일반적으로 디지털 카메라, 디지털 TV, DVD 등에서 수행되므로 실행 이미지(Image) 크기가 작아야 한다. 본 논문에서는 실시간 운영체제의 실행 이미지를 줄이면서 시간 결정성을 보장할 수 있도록 메모리 관리 체계를 설계하고 구현한 내용을 설명한다.

N/A The machinability of cast iron is closely related to its microstructural property. In this study, the effect of graphite mophology and matrix microstructure on machinability in several commercial cast irons (GC 25, GCD 45, GCD 50, GCD 70, GCD HSMo, GCMP) was investigated. To estimate the machinability, turning test was carried out under conditions of spindle speed 80m/min depth of cut 0.25㎜, feed 0.16㎜/rev and cutting distance 1km. Thrust force in turning test decreases in the order of GCMP, GCD 70, GCD 50, GC 25, GCD 45 and GCD HSMo. i.e. machinability increases in this order. The superior machinability of GC 25 is caused by flake type graphite which acts as chip braker and provides lubrication during machining. Consequently, soft ferritic cast irons exhibit superior machinability compared with pearlitic cast irons.

Recently the level of using composite materials (CFRP,GFRP) has been gradually higher in all different kinds of industries. In this thesis, the types of inclusion and delamination of CFRP&GFRP used to create airplane structures were detected through an infrared thermography device. This study detected internal defects of GFRP defect specimens using the Ultrasonic Infrared Thermography Method and the Lock-In Image Treatment Method among infrared thermography method. Using ultrasound technology, was able to detect delamination defects.

Unlike the existing melting welding process, Friction Stir Welding(FSW) is an environmental-friendly solid phase welding process that is used for welding light metals such as aluminium alloys, which exhibits less deformation by thermal stress, and does not generate toxic gases. This paper performed lap joint welding for aluminium alloy through friction stir welding process. During the welding process by using a threaded cylindrical probe tool, defects occurred on the welding surface in respect to the rotating direction of the tool.
