In this paper, we discuss dedicated semiconductor’s configuration, function, validity, effect, implementation method of sunroof BLDC motor control based on the LIN communication. This semiconductor is formed by SBC(System Basis Chip) which are MCU, memory, power, load control, input interface, LIN communication as a SoC(System on Chip) for controlling the sunroof logic through the sunroof motor. The package is a 48pin, VQFN and 0.13um BCD process technology is used. The MCU is consist of 32bit ARM-Cortex M3 core and Timer/UART peripheral. A power is distributed 5V and 1.5V in regulator which includes charge pump for full turn on MOSFET of 3 phase driver, LIN transceiver for communication, 3 phase gate driver for motor driving. This semiconductor can be applied sunroof system as communization device in all models. Additionally, this is a platform device for another application domain in the future, Through the optimization of controller and semiconductor, we can expect improvement of system efficiency, implementation of new function, communization, cost saving, package reduction.
