The procedure to prepare an acrylic emulsion water repellents by blending of arcylic copolymer, activated polyethylene, wax, and emulsifiers was published in the previous paper. After the treatment of the prepared water repellents on a cotten fabrics with and without textile finishing resin, washability, contact angle, tearing strength, and crease recovery were tested. As the result, there were remarkable improvements in physical properties. Proper curing temperature of the synthesized water repellents impellents was 150℃ ; proper using concentration was 5wt% ; sodium acetate was the best catalyst for water repellents among the used, and proper concentration was 1.0wt%.

Durable softening water repellents such as PODCWs were prepared by blending cationezed compound of poly(octadecyl methacrylate-co-2-diethylaminoethyl methacrylate), of which synthetic methods were reported in the previous paper, activated polythylene, waxes, and emulsifiers. Water repellency of prepared PODCWs was measured by performing water repellent finish to various fabrics, PODCWs showed a good water repellency for P/C blended fabrics and their repelling tendency was in the order of P/C blended fabrics > cotton fabrics > nylon taffeta. The initial water repellencies of PODCW-1 and PODCW-2 were 100 and 100 points, repectively, for P/C blended fabrics. And also, PODCW-1 and PODCW-2 were confirmed as durable water repellents with the results of making little difference of water repellency as ±5 point after and before washing.

알키드 변성폴리에스테르를 함유하는 2성분계 폴리우레탄 도료의 제조와 도막물성

3,5,5-trimethylhexanoic acid(THA)와 트리메틸올프로판올 에스테르화시켜 중간생성물을 얻은 후, 중간생성물 속의 알키드 폴리올 성분인 THA의 함량을 10, 20, 30wt%로 변화시키면서 1,4-부탄디올, 트리메틸올프로판 및 아디프산과 축중합하여 알키드 변성폴리에스테르를 각각 합성하였다. 위에서 합성된 알키드 변성폴리에스테르에 폴리이소시아네이트쪽 성분인 Desmodur L-75와 블렌드하여 2성분계 폴리우레탄 도료를 제조하였다. 제조된 도료의 도막처리후의 제반 물성시험을 해 본 결과 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoic acid의 함량증가에 따라 8^-점의 높은 연화도, 2-3시간의 짧은 건조시간 및 18∼23시간의 긴 가사시간을 나타내어 알키드기의 장점이 일부 나타남을 확인하였다. Alkyd modified polyester was synthesized by the polycondensation of 1,4-butanediol, trimethylolpropane, adipic acid, and the intermediate obtained by the esterification of 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoic acid(THA) and trimethylolpropane, where the contents of THA as a component of alkyd polyol in the intermediate were changed according to 10, 20, and 30wt%, respectively. Two-component polyurethane coatings were prepared by blending the synthesized alkyd modified polyester with Desmodur L-75 as a component of polyisocyanate. Various tests for coating properties with the prepared coatings show that high fineness of grind of 8^-point, short drying time of 2∼3 hours, and long pot-life of 18-23 hours were observed with the content of 3,5,5-trimethylhexanoic acid.

Spin finish(NSFs) for synthetic fiber were prepared. NSF-3 was proved to be the best spin finish by testing the properties and emulsion stability, etc. of NSFs. NSF-3 prepared by blending of spindle oil 70g, paraffin wax 10g, glyceryl mono-oleate 5g, POE(10) nonylphenyl ether 4g, POE(20) sorbitan tri-oleate 4g, Na-dioctyl sulfosuccinate 4g, antistatic agent 2g and water 1g was excellent in its characteristics. Optimum physical conditions of nylon filament treated with NSF-3 according to the number of revolution of oil roller were obtained at conditions of 5.5rpm in the number of revolution of oil roller, 1.21% of oil pick up, and denier 69.2D.

To prepare a O/W type nonionic durable softner(ANSA), synthesized 1, 3-dihexadanoyl-2, 7-dioxy-6, 8-di(2-hexadecanoyloxyethyl)-1, 3, 6, 8-tetraazacyclodecane as the main component of softner, was blended with beef tallow, anhydrous lanolin, pilyoxyethylene(20) oleyl ether, sorbitan sesquioleate, and polyoxyethylene(7) stearyl ether in warious compositions. Emulsion stability of ANSA was good, and the mixed HLB value was 9, 8. After the treatment of ANSA to all cotton fabrics, the physical properties such as tear strength, crease recovery, and flexing abrasion resistance were measured, respectively. As a result of the measurement, ANSA was proved to be durable softner with good softness.
