Similarity of two time series is a good measure of the reliability of the sensor. In the conventional method, the coherence statistic of two auto-spectral densities is applied. This paper is concerned chiefly the improvement of reliability testing method using coherence statistic. A Monte Carlo simulation method has been presented for making optimal decision statistic. The reliability testing using multi-sensor checking method also has been developed. Two experiments were performed in artificial and real data set. The improvement of capability for reliability checking was verified in first experiment using artificial data. The validity was shown in second experiment using real sensor measurements in a dam.

In this paper, an auto-generation of control code for a car assembly manufacturing system is developed. Two methodologies are proposed. The first is a device modeling technique from the view-point of controller design for a manufacturing device. The device model is a state-based object model to intuitively describe the behavior of target manufacturing devices and includes some hard restrictions that guarantee observance. The second is an optimization model. The Linear Programming (LP) optimization model is extracted to schedule all operations. The LP model can be generated from a plant model using a developed computer program, so the user need not make a complicated formal model. The solution of LP model creates a SOP(Sequence of Operation) & CG(Constraint Graph). The SOP & CG chart implies the major information of the controller design. SOP describes the controller flow, and the CG chart is used for making conditional logic to fire subsequent operations. The final PLC code is generated from SOP & CG chart. We presented a real example to demonstrate our approaches.

An efficient regression-based outlier detection method has been described in this paper. Estimating a correct regression model is an important part of estimation-based outlier detection. In the conventional method, the parameter estimation of the regression model was performed using measurements among neighbor sensors. This research proposes a weighted summation approach for making a synthesized independent variable from the observed values. A reliable regression model can be estimated from the synthesized signal. Finally, accurate outlier detection can be performed using the residual analysis of the regression model. The proposed method was successfully applied in real sensor measurements in a dam.

Because of the fast changing car design and increasing facilities, manufacturing process of cars is getting more complex now a days. Particularly, car manufacturing system that consist of automated devices, applies various simulation techniques to validate device motion and detect collision. To cope with this problem, traditional manufacturing system deployed test-run with the real devices. However, increased computing power in a contemporary manufacturing system changes it into realistic 3D simulation environment. Similarly, managed device data that was generated using 2D traditionally, can be converted to 3D realistic simulation. The existing problem with 3D simulation is disjoint data interaction between different work stations. Consequently, JIGs, fixing the car part accurately, are changed according to fixing position on the part or a part shape properties. In practice, the 3D JIG data has to be managed according to kinematic information, but not of its features. However, generating kinematic information to the 3D model repeatedly according to frequent change in part is not explained in current literatures. To fill this knowledge gap, this paper suggests an improving method of rendering 3D JIG kinematics information to simulation model. Thereafter, it shows the result of implementation.
컴퓨터 비젼을 이용한 다양한 볼트제품의 검사시스템 구현

We applied computer vision for inspecting a large set of bolts. Vision system is developed and implemented to real bolt manufacturing system. The presented methodology consists of two phase inspection schemes. The first phase is to recognize the type of bolt and to set the inspection specifications. The second phase is to inspect the object For an unknown part, the inspection spectifications are added by operator in off-line. Considering the bolt types and inspection spectifications, inspection algorithm are automatically selected in off-line. Once after the inspection items are specified, an on-line inspection is performed for the next coming parts. For inspection bolt shape, the system use the edge line and corder points of two-dimensional images. Performed results are given to verify the self-setting inspection system.
