The range of use of pipes and pressure vessels has been widely used in nuclear power field and the other fields. Interest in non-destructive testing for maintaining the integrity of pipes and pressure vessels is also increasing. Shearography which is the typical non-destructive and non-contact testing method using laser can relatively measure the out-of-plane deformation in the defect parts of pipes. However, there is a difficulty with measuring the out-of-plane in non-defect parts with shearography. Therefore, the deformations in both defect part and non-defect part of pressure vessel which is processed with a defect artificially were measured using shearography in this paper. These results suggest the possibility that shearography can measure the out-of-plane deformation more precisely
