        The methodology that make up fault tolerant system is that it redundancy within a system and that it use distributed system via network. In this paper, for system reliability improvement in distributed environment, we design self-diagnostics and cross diagnostics for fault diagnostic of the hardware components, and design that other process assume control at fault occurance by conceptual full duplex approach.

        Reduction of Leakage Current in InGaN-based LEDs with V-pit Embedded Structures

        We investigated the effects of V-pit structures embedded in the active region of n-GaN on leakage current and emission efficiency in InGaN/GaN light-emitting diodes (LEDs). Size-controlled V-pits were used for dislocation filtering. The V-shaped pit size was controlled by manipulating the growth temperature and pressure. The highest reverse voltage values were achieved with 150-nm-sized V-pit-embedded LEDs, which can be attributed to the effective blocking of the threading dislocations acting as a leakage current source.

        Optical characterization of periodically polarity-inverted ZnO structures on (0001) Al2O3 substrates

        We investigated the optical properties of periodically polarity-inverted (PPI) ZnO structures formed on (0001) Al2O3 substrates by evaluating the cathodoluminescence (CL) as a function of the acceleration voltage (Vacc). At surface regions with a low Vacc, the emission from the interface region was dominant but the dominant emission source changed to the Zn-polar regions as Vacc was increased, which can be explained by the different exciton diffusion lengths. The dependence of the emission properties on Vacc showed a slight red shift as Vacc increased and a larger red shift was observed in the Zn-polar regions. Moreover, the interface regions showed the highest intensity compared to other regions, which can be explained by the results of the geometrical analysis conducted using a finite-differential time domain simulation.

        This paper describes a transaction flow control using mean value analysis in multiprocessing based client/sever environment. We present an analytical methodology for the analysis and performance evaluation of transaction flow control. Using mean value analysis, performance results are obtained and show the statistical throughput, end-to-end delay time, a multiprocessor utilization and system power. The system power is defined as throughput over delay. The goal in this paper is to determine the optimal parameter values such as the number of transaction and sever instantiations in the system, which affect the configuration of the critical hardware resource.

        Takayasu’s Arteritis Involving the Ostia of Three Large Coronary Arteries

        Takayasu’s arteritis can involve the ostia of coronary arteries. We report a patient with Takayasu’s arteritis involving the ostia of three large coronary arteries who was successfully treated by percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) with a drug-eluting stent (DES) and had a good clinical outcome after 12 months. A 37-year-old male with unstable angina was admitted to our cardiovascular center. The patient had Takayasu’s arteritis and an aortic valve replacement with a metallic valve due to severe aortic regurgitation 7 years previously. Coronary angiography (CAG) showed a 95% discrete eccentric luminal narrowing at the ostia of the large left anterior descending (LAD) and left circumflex (LCX) arteries, and a 99% discrete eccentric luminal narrowing at the ostium of the large right coronary artery (RCA). The patient was treated with prednisolone for 14 days. Two large paclitaxel-eluting stents (PES) were then implanted in the distal left main coronary artery using the kissing stent technique. After 6 months, a CAG did not reveal restenosis or recurrent coronary artery disease. Thus, PCI with a DES for patients with significant coronary involvement secondary to Takayasu’s arteritis is an effective and an alternative treatment when coronary bypass grafting is not option.         Ti 분말 첨가가 TiO<sub>2</sub> 나노 분말의 성형성에 미치는 영향

        The compaction response of $TiO_2$ nano powders with an addition of Ti powders prepared by magnetic pulsed compaction and subsequent sintering processes was investigated. All kinds of different bulk exhibited an average shrinkage of about 12% for different MPCed pressure and sintering temperature, which were approximately 50% lower than those fabricated by general process (20%) and a maximum density of around 92.7% was obtained for 0.8GPa MPCed pressure and $1400^{\circ}C$ sintering temperature. The addition of Ti powder induced an increase in the formability and hardness of the sintered $TiO_2$. But the lower densities were obtained on sintering with addition of over 10 (wt%) Ti powder due to generation of crack during sintering. Subsequently it was verified that the optimum compaction pressure in MPC and sintering temperature were 0.8GPa and $1400^{\circ}C$, respectively.

        The purpose of this study is to investigate the racial question in William Faulkner's Light in August, The Sound and the Fury, Go Down, Moses, and Intruder in the Dust. As a Southern writer, Faulkner dealt with uniquely Southern materials with much emphasis on Black and White relationship. I have carried out this study on the assumption that the racial theme is one of the main themes in his novels. In this study I have investigated the cause and effect of the racial question and Faulkner's attitudes toward the solution to this question.. The racial problem resulting from the peculiar history of the South, slavery, is one of the most complicated and subtlest social problems in America, and quite naturally many of intellectuals are seriously concerned for its ideal solution. By 1950, when the opposition to the civil rights program was threatening to become violent, Faulkner was compelled to express his views on desegregation, equality, and civil rights in serious nonfiction statements. But his nonfiction statements were made under the influence of the surrounding circumstances, some of which were ambivalent or contradictory. However, in his fictions where he could present his ideal without conflicting with reality, we can find a progression from his early Southern stereotype to personal vision of Negroes. These shifting attitudes were presented in his major Negro characters : Dilsey, Joe Christmas, and Lucas Beauchamp. Dilsey in The Sound and the Fury emerges from th traditional black image of a loyal old black servant and stands out as an embodiment of love and endurance. Yet, she accepts her subservient position as "nigger" and expresses no criticisms of social inequality or racial discrimination. Joe Christmas in Light in August is an image of a Negro in wander and resistance. Because of his dubious blood, he fails to identify himself and repudiates the society dichotomized to skin colors, and finally accepts death as the only way to peace. Evidently Faulkner deals with less sympathy mulattoes than pure Negroes, but he also suggests that miscegenation can be ultimate solution the problem of racial antagonism. Lucas Beauchamp in Intruder in the Dust is a self-proud black man who asserts his individuality and human dignity against white people, and finally makes white people recognize and accept him as an equal man. Faulkner suggests here that the only and the best way to the ideal black-white relationship is to transcend the racial barrier through pursuing and asserting humanity and dignity as individual human beings. Finally we should remember that Faulkner, as novelist, intends to portray various universal problems which a man can face through Negroes' concrete alienation and plight in the South America.

      • Preparation and electrochemical analysis of Pt deposited on nitrogen and sulfur doped on reduced graphene oxide support for fuel cells

        In my study, Pt-NS@RGO composites were prepared by a simple solvothermal treatment. Pyridinic and graphitic N in the NS@RGO framework enhanced the electro-catalytic performance as well as electron transfer in methanol oxidation reaction. Also, Thiophenic S in the NS@RGO framework enhanced their catalytic activity as well as interaction between catalyst support and metal catalyst. It is attributed to preventing Pt nanoparticles from aggregation in aqueous solution, resulting long-term durability in DMFC operation. In addition, The Pt-NS@RGO composites exhibited excellent electro-catalytic active area and higher methanol oxidation current density than others. The structure, morphology and composition of Pt-NS@RGO composites were measured by SEM, TEM and FT-IR. Also, the electro-catalytic properties of Pt-NS@RGO composites were evaluated by CV and CA.

      • 1P-726 Electrochemical property of graphene nanosheets/WS<sub>2</sub> cathode materials prepared by hydrothermal reaction for lithium batteries

        In our study, we applied graphene nanosheets/WS<sub>2</sub> to electrochemical enhancement of the lithium sulfur battey cathodes. Transition metal dichalcogenide nanosheets attracted much attention owing to the reversible structure and intrinsic network polarity. When applied as the cathode in lithium sulfur batteries, graphene nanosheet/WS<sub>2</sub>(1:0.5) composites exhibited high reversible capacity at the first cycle and maintain a satisfactory cyclability. In this study, a facile process was used to synthesis graphene nanosheet/WS<sub>2</sub> composites by one-step in situ solution-phase method. For comparison, we used same cell except cathode material which is only GNS. Electrochmical properties were conducted by making coin cell and characterized by cyclic voltammetry in 1M LiTFSI electrolyte.
