Cardiac arrest is an alarming emergency. To be faced with it during strabismus surgery is a frightening experience for both surgeon and anesthesiologist. We have experienced with a case of cardiac arrest during traction of medial rectus muscle for strabismus surgery. Surgery was completed successfully after retrobulbar block with 2% lidocaine.

In this paper, an efficient and accurate formulation for the transient analysis of constrained multibody systems is presented. The formulation employs Kane's method along with the null space method. Kane's method reduces the dimension of equations of motion by using partial velocity matrix: it can improve the efficiency of the formulation. Furthermore, the formulation partitions the coefficient matrix of linear and nonlinear equations into several sub-matrices using kinematic uncoupling. This can solve the equations more efficiently. The proposed formulation can be used to perform dynamic analysis of systems which can be partitioned into several sub-systems such as train systems. One numerical example is given to demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the formulation, and another numerical example is given to show its application to the train systems.

Comparative study on the analysis and experiment for the vibration of a rotating cantilever structure was made in this paper. Analysis results were obtained by using the modeling method which was developed in the previous work. The cross-section thickness variation due to the sensor attachment was additionally considered. In order to verify the accuracy of the analysis results, exerimental results were obtained. The analysis and experimental results were found to be in a good agreement. It was also shown that the aerodynamic and cross-section thickness variation effects significantly influenced the dynamic characteristics of the rotating structure.

Equations of chordwise and flapwise bending motions of pretwisted rotatin cantilever beams are derived. The two motions are coupled to each other due to the pretwist angle of the beam cross section. As the angular speed, hub radius ratio, and pretwist angle vary, the vibration characteristics of the beam change. It is found that engenvalue loci veering phenomena and associated mode shape variations occur between two vibration modes due to the pretwist angle. The effect of the pretwist angle on the critical angular speed is also investigated.

In this paper, descibed was the derived algorithm for calculating contact point between wheel and rail and the developed method for rail modeling. The proposed methods use travelling distance to represent rail center line position vector and rail orientation with respect to Newtonian reference frame. The methods call be easily used ill multibody dynamic analysis. Two numerical examples are shown to verify the validity of the proposed methods.
개선된 결합도와 격리도 특성을 갖는 다층 방향성 결합기

본 논문에서는 이중충 마이크로스트립 유전체 기판을 이용하여 개선된 결합도와 격리도 특성을 갖는 방향성 결합기를 제안하고, 그 설계방법을 제시하였다. 제안한 구조는 전송선로 위에 한 충의 유전체를 추가시키고 그 위에 부동도체를 위치시킨 구조로써 접지면에 어퍼쳐를 적용하여 결합도를 향상시키고, 접지면 어퍼쳐 안에 도체를 위치시켜 격리도와 S$_{11}$ 대한 정재파비를 개선하였다. 그 결과 개선된 이중층 방향성 결합기는 기존의 re-enfant mode 방향성 결합기보다 2 dB의 향상된 결합도와 대역내에 20 dB 이상의 향상된 격리도와 S$_{11}$에 대한 정재파비를 가졌다. In this paper, we proposed the directional coupler using two layer microstrip substrate which is improved coupling and isolation. Modified two-layer directional coupler is the structure which is added to the one-layer on the signal line and located the floating conductor on the added layer. Also, we applied the aperture on the ground plane in order to enhancing the coupling value, and located the conductor in order to enhancing the isolation and VSWR according to S$_{11}$. As a result, proposed two-layer directional coupler has about 2 dB more higher coupling and 20 dB more higher isolation than conventional couplerer

본 논문에서는 뒷면도체를 부동도체로 갖는 CPW 방향성 결합기에서 방향성 향상을 위한 뒷면도체의 변형에 관하여 논하였다. 이때 뒷면도체는 dumbbell 모양의 일반화된 구조와 그 변형구조로 가운데 부분이 완전히 제거된 경우도 가지며, 결합도의 감소를 막기 위한 보완구조로 접지면에서 T자형으로 확장된 슬롯을 함께 사용하였다. T자형 슬롯을 갖고 뒷면도체의 변형을 통한 방향성의 개선방법은 결합도의 큰 감소 없이 방향성 개선을 이룰 수 있다. 1 GHz에서 설계된 T자형 슬롯과 뒷면도체를 갖는 CPW 방향성 결합기는 full-wave analysis를 사용한 EM solver의 계산 결과 및 측정 결과를 통하여 큰 결합특성의 감소 없이 높은 방향성 특성을 가짐을 확인하였다. In this paper, compensation structures are proposed in the CPW directional couplers with finite-extent backed conductor for tight coupling. The proposed structures are realized T-shaped expanded slots and modified finite-extent backed conductor in CPW coupled structure. The T-shaped expanded slots was used to avoide reduced coupling and modified finite extent backed conductor of dumbbell shape was used to enhance directivity and matching. The designed CPW directional couplers at 1 GHz has good directivity without reducing coupling in simulation by EM solver based on full-wave analysis and measurements.
