이 연구는 파라메트릭 모델링 기법을 적용하여 최적화된 일조환경을 제공해 줄 수 있는 친환경 파사드에 관한 연구이 다. 이를 통해, 기상정보의 기후조건에 대응하는 키네픽 파사드를 위한 지능형 설계에 활용하고자 한다. This research introduces the Climate-based Daylight Modeling for kinetic facade that can be parametrically variated enhancing daylight index. It demonstrate that integrating analysis tools and parametric algorithm to optimized kinetic façade contribute in reaching better sustainable environment.
CAAD와 GIS 데이터 상호운용을 위한 정보표준에 관한 기초적 연구

An increasing number of applications on CAAD and GIS particularly require complex semantic information. In the context of spatial data infrastructures the needed data are drawn from distributed sources and often are thematically and spatially fragmented. Straight forward joining of objects between CAAD and GIS would inevitably lead to information inconsistencies such as cracks, permeations, or other inconsistencies. Semantic information can help to reduce the ambiguities for geometric integration, if it is coherently structured with respect to geometry. To facilitate the interoperability between CAAD and GIS environment, this paper proposes a basic approach for geometric information of CAAD objects expressed by the IFC model and GIS objects expressed by the GML model. The discussions include not only fundamental investigation for the proposed interoperable data model but also basic research for the primitive transformation methodology of ontology. This research will help in the future development of automatic integration methods for complex CAAD-GIS applications.

This paper suggest the BIM-library categorization of Korean traditional buildings using parametric & associate design methods. In order to industrialize Korean traditional buildings, it is necessary to standardize and integrate the categorization system by introducing current digital technology and application software. BIM(Building Information Modeling) based generative application, such as the commercial BIM applications can formalize and generate parametric design process that can be explored. Parametric models can provide important geometric flexibility and support an iterative design refinement process. Therefore, the aim of this case study is to discuss the possibilities of parametric design using BIM system for industrialization of Korean traditional buildings and extend the category standards of the BIM-library and the information flow between parametric and multidisciplinary tools.
CAD/CAM 기술의 활용사례에 관한 연구 - 90년대 현대건축물을 중심으로

This study is for the ever-growing field of computer-aided design and manufacturing(CAD/CAM), as it is particularly related to digital design process. The use of this technologies has had a liberating effect on the architectural design in complex form buildings since 1990. Implicit in CAD/CAM technology are paradigms for interactions among design concept, representation and construction activities. The paper reviews several comtemporary curved-form buildings of 90 s as a way of understanding how newer developments in design automation and explore the recent initiatives in the use of CAD/CAM technologies, by the analysis method of the digital design process concept—representation-construction ,which is an underlying premise of this study.
친환경 파사드 설계지원도구를 통한 오피스의 자연채광 최적화

Integrated sustainable design of building envelopes with optimization into the design process requires the analysis of environmental performances. With the parametric & associative design technology for assessing daylight and promoting visually comfortable spaces, a great potential exists for optimizing the performance of contemporary building facades. We investigates daylight metrics in randomized patterns of office facades with different window-to-wall ratios (WWR) and sun shading louver designs, such as vertical and horizontal devices. Climate-Based Daylight Modeling (CBDM) is applied as the assessment strategy and DIVA plug-in for Rhinoceros/Grasshopper is used for validation to effectively calculate daylight metrics based on the Radiance/Daysim engine. Useful Daylight Illuminace (UDI) and Daylight Glare Probability (DGP) are adopted as the dynamic daylight metrics to compare the design alternatives. This paper presents a parametrically driven design support system and proposes the guide matrix for optimized daylighting design. The matrix of this study suggest facades alternatives of office building in terms of daylight for the climate conditions of Incheon, Korea to reduce glare and lead to energy-saving buildings.
sDA와 ASE 일조지표 적용 Monitor형 아트리움 조도환경 최적설계

With the increased simulation applications for assessing daylighting environment in buildings, a diversity of possibility exists for optimizing the performance of buildings. This study focuses on daylight performance assessments in adjoining spaces with different proportions to improve daylighting of atrium buildings. We investigates daylight metrics of central atrium type with monitor skylight. Climate-Based Daylight Modeling (CBDM) is applied as the assessment strategy and Spatial Daylight Autonomy (sDA) and Annual Solar Exposure (ASE) of LEED v.4(2013) are adopted as the dynamic daylight metrics to compare the results. The DIVA plug-in for Rhinoceros/Grasshopper as the parametric design tool is used for validation to effectively calculate daylight metrics using the Radiance/Daysim engine. In terms of the Well Index, Clearstory Height, Ceiling Height and Well Surface Reflectance, the variations of daylight level in the adjoining rooms have been analysed and some design strategies for supporting preliminary design decisions are presented. It is found that the optimized result of clerestory height for providing the surfficient daylighting in the atrium adjacent spaces is 3.66M.
