관람자 시점 이동성에 따른 VR 공포영화의 실재감 연구 : 2D영화 <곡성>과 VR영화 <부고>의 스타일 분석 중심으로

This study began with the question of whether films are suitable as VR content as the stature of VR content is on the rise. Movie is an art form where the director's intent is strongly revealed. However, due to the sense of presence, a hallmark feature of VR allowing the audience to explore the given 360-degree space, conveying storytelling as per the director's intent becomes unfeasible. While content like VR games or exhibitions pose no issues regardless of how users engage, drama films face a conflict between the obligation of storytelling and the spatial characteristics of VR's 360-degree environment, coupled with physical limitations of the HMD (cyber sickness, the strain of long-time wear due to the weight of the HMD). Consequently, a definitive film grammar for VR drama films has yet to be established. Thus, before addressing whether movie can integrate with VR, we need to re-inquire by categorizing drama movie by style genres such as melodrama, comedy, action, SF, horror, and thriller. To rephrase, is there a genre among drama films that aligns with VR's attributes? Users of VR can display pronounced physical reactions, which can also be observed in horror genre films. If we combine the playful physical reactions induced by VR's characteristics with the physical reactions caused by horror emotions, we can hypothesize that the horror genre could be compatible with VR movies. Therefore, the primary objective of this study is to analyze how the direction style of VR horror movie for the sake of presence differs from 2D movie. For case analysis, the direction styles of the 2D movie <The Wailing> and the VR movie <Obituary> were analyzed. Additionally, this study intends to utilize recorded viewer perspective footage of <Obituary> seen through the HMD, rather than the camera's viewpoint. Through such an analysis, we were able to ascertain results in the following four aspects, First, the dazzling camera movements created by the viewer due to the oppressiveness of the VR camera, second, the distinctiveness of montage due to the breaking of shot grammar, third, psychological close-ups provided by the variability of shots and fourth, well-structured spaces in VR movie can inherently form storytelling. Such analytical findings can be presented as a new direction grammar specifically for VR horror movie.

This paper implements the security system using the image compression and disk-based storage device. Generally, in security system, image acquisition and storing the image by camera might be default. Especially, image quality is important when user retrieve the image after acquiring the image. Previous tape-based security system usually have low-quality images because of tape-based storage device. Our research try to solve the above problem by using the disk. System is mainly consists with three parts. One is image acquisition and two is image compression and storing, the other is image processing and retrieval step. The signal from camera is transfer to VGA memory by way of capture board having no memory and this is compressed with MPEG format and storing to hard disk. Also, system design is detailed considering the manifold image processing and image advancing by filtering. By our system, low-price system implementation, minimum man using and image restoration by image processing may possible.

In this paper, image I/O interface is designed and implemented on IBM -PC. The image process system has 512×512×8bits resolution and takes input signal from the CCTV camera of standard NTSC type signal. The system has the 256 gray levels converted from the video signals using an A/D and a D/A converter and saves one image frame in 512×512×8bits frame memory. Image improvement and reconstruction will be processed by the software system using an image data collected from the system.
Bae Chang-ho's film Close-up style typification and aesthetic significance

This study examines the close-up style of Bae Chang-ho's films, which occupied a significant position in the history of Korean cinema in the 1980s. Shots are the foundation and play a pivotal role among the various elements that constitute a film. Among these, the close-up has attracted significant interest from film scholars and directors since the inception of cinema. In particular, close-up shots are essential in conveying the film’s storytelling, acting as an emotive bridge between actors and audiences. Thus, this research aims to delve deep into the close-up style of Bae Chang-ho's films, who was the first in Korean cinema history to be honored with the title of “auteur director,” and to explore its significance in the context of Korean film history. While the 1970s Korean cinema could be termed the “Youngsang Era” and the 1990s as the era of the “Korean New Wave,” the 1980s Korean cinema has primarily been represented only as a “Dark Era.” This study highlights the significance of Bae Chang-ho's close-up style in filling this gap in the history of 1980s Korean cinema.

The replacement of the conventional analog and digital devices with the microprocessor is to make possible the implementation of the digital techniques where a predetermind number of unwanted harmonics can be canceled. The use of microprocessors in DC/AC converter circuitry increases reliability, control flexibility and improvements of maintenance and servicing. In this paper the analysis of the laws which govern the commutation of power switches in order to cancel any predetermined harmonics and vary the fundamental rms voltage is presented.

The application of minicomputer systems has been enlarged, caused by their low price, simplicity and flexibility. But up to now the application softwares and their supply systems are restricted. In this paper the continuous system simulation processor which is simplified form of MIMIC language processor is developed for the edcational purpose on POP-11 series minicomputer system.

In this paper, the motion of stepping motors is tracked by micro-computer based on Z80-CPU through the parallel interface chip (Z80-PIO). The software was developed by CP/M Macro-Assembly language on the micro-computer builted from a kit supplied by Digital Research Corp. of Texas. The hardware interfaces between stepping motors and Z80-PIO were constructed without A/D converter for digital encoding.
