사회수요맞춤형 교육과정 관점에서 바라본 태권도계열 학과(부) 교육과정 현황 분석

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the current curriculum of Taekwondo Department in terms of societal need based curriculum. According to the analysis of 22 Taekwondo Department in Korea, it was indicated that the representative educational goal in these departments was professional leaders in Taekwondo. However, it was found that most of courses in Taekwondo department were not related to Taekwondo, even if the goal was to develop Taekwondo leaders. It means that most of Taekwondo departments did not implement societal-need based curriculum and did not provide specialized courses in Taekwondo. In other words, most of opened courses in Taewkondo department were Kinesiology-relevant courses, not tailored Taekwondo. In the future, Takewondo-relevant organizations or associations should develop professional curriculum standards that could apply to Takewond department in Korean Universities after the analysis of societal needs. 본 연구는 사회수요맞춤형 관점에서 우리나라 태권도계열 대학 교육과정의 현황을 분석하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 전국의 22개 태권도계열 학과 교육과정 현황을 살펴본 결과, 태권도 계열학과(부)에서 추구하고 있는 교육목표는 '태권도전문지도자 양성'이 대다수인 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 태권도전문지도자 양성이라는 교육목표 달성을 위한 학과부 전공교육과정을 살펴보면, 적지 않은 태권도계열 학과(부)의 교육과정이 사회수요맞춤형 교육과정으로 운영되기 어렵다고 볼 수 있다. 특히 태권도관련 전문 학과로 볼 수 있는 태권도 계열 학과(부) 교육과정이 특성화된 태권도 과목으로 개설되기 보다는, 기존의 체육학 세부 전공의 과목을 응용한 형태로 개설되고 있었다. 향후 태권도 공공기관이나 학회에서는 사회수요를 분석하고 이를 토대로 우리나라 태권도계열 학과(부)에서 벤치마킹할 수 있는 태권도 전문교육과정 기준을 개발하여 보급할 필요가 있다.

국가직무능력표준으로 바라본 태권도계열 대학교육과정에 대한 학부생의 인식 및 요구조사

태권도의 세계적인 발전과 올림픽 정식종목 채택을 시작으로 국내 많은 대학에서 태권도 관련학과가 개설되어 있다. 태권도 전공 학생들의 올바른 진로선택과 진로설계를 위해서 태권도 계열학과 교육과정은 태권도 진로분야와 연계되어야 한다. 국가에서는 대학 교육과정과 산업현장과의 불일치 현상을 해소하기 위해 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 개발하여 대학의 교육과정 개혁 노력에 박차를 기울여 왔다. 이에 본 연구는 NCS관점에서 태권도계열 대학교육과정의 개선방안을 모색하기 위해 태권도계열 학부생들의 인식과 요구를 조사하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구를 위하여 전국 5개 권역 총 9개 대학 10개 학과의 4학년 재학생 289명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 본 연구에 사용된 설문지는 총 22문항으로, 태권도 계열학과 교육과정 구성, 교육목표, 교육과정 내용, NCS기반 태권도 계열학과 교육과정과 관련된 문항으로 구성되었다. 설문지의 각 항목별 문항들의 분포를 분석하기 위해서 단순빈도분포와 백분율을 계산하여 설문지에 대한 응답의 일반적인 성향을 살펴보았다. 학부생들은 우리나라 태권도계열 대학 교육과정이 추구하는 목표와 자신의 미래진로분야로 태권도지도 자양성을 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 현재 태권도계열 대학의 교육내용은 진로취업과의 연계성이 높지 않으며 그로 인해 학부생들은 취업직무능력을 충분히 갖추지 못하고 있다고 인식하고 있었다. 따라서 학부생들은 태권도 산업현장과의 연계성이 높은 실무과목의 개설 증가와 태권도계열 대학의 세부 전공이 더욱 구체화되기를 요구하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 현장실습이 모든 학부생들에게 반드시 필요하며 현장실습의 기회가 더욱 확대되기를 요구하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 향후 태권도계열 대학의 교육과정이 국가사회적 변화와 교육수요자의 요구를 적극 수용할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This paper was designed to investigate undergraduate students’ perception and needs for Taekwondo curriculum in higher education in terms of NCS, in order to solve the job mismatched phenomenon after graduation. A survey was conducted with 289 fourth-year undergraduate students of 9 universities. A questionnaire was consisted of 29 questions including curriculum composition, educational objective, and curriculum content as well as NCS-based curriculum of Taekwondo-affiliated departments. The simple frequency analysis and percentage was used to analyze each items and identify students’ general tendency for the questionnaire. At the results, students have perceived Taekwondo' educational leaders as the most important objective and also their future career or job. However, Taekwondo curriculum in higher education is not highly relevant to job market. Due to this reason, undergraduates have perceived they did not have enough job competency. Thus, they have demanded the increase of practice courses relevant to job market in Taekwondo and also the special major track in department of Taekwondo in Korean universities. Additionally, they have asked practicum should be required and expanded in Department of Taekwondo in Korea. Furthermore, this paper will be used to meet the needs of educational consumers as well as the national and societal change.

태권도는 현재 전 세계 206개 회원국에서 수련하고 있는 전 세계인의 무도스포츠이다. 이와 같은 태권도 발전의 밑바탕에는 태권도를 하나의 학문으로 인정하고, 학문적 정체성과 철학적 가치관을 확립하기 위한 대학의 노력이 뒷받침되었기 때문이다. 하지만 태권도관련계열 대학 졸업 후 현장에서 직접적으로 실현가능한 부분이 미비하다는 비판이 제기되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 대학알리미 기준에 따라 태권도관련계열 학과가 개설 되어 있는 학교 현황을 파악하고, 4년제 대학 태권도관련계열 학과 20개 중 우리나라 태권도를 대표하는 3개 대학을 선정하여 태권도학과 교육과정 현황을 비교·분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 현장에서 실현가능한 교육과정으로 태권도학과 내 교육프로그램을 크게 3가지 전공으로 나누어 엘리트 선수교육, 글로벌태권도 지도자교육, 국내 전문 태권도 지도자교육으로 분류하여 교육목표. 교육내용, 교육방법 및 평가 항목을 개발하였다. 끝으로 태권도지도자 양성을 위한 태권도학과 교육과정의 개선방향을 제시하였다. Taekwondo is a martial art around the world who are trained in 206 world countries. The development of Taekwondo has been found to recognize that Taekwondo is one of the disciplines and the university``s efforts to establish the identity and academic values a nd philosophical support. However, there is growing a critique that there is a mismatch between college programs in Taekwondo and Taekwondo industry market. In a sense, this paper has tried to analyze college programs in three representative Taekwondo programs in Korea. For doing this, this paper has suggested three majors such as etlite education program, global leader programs, professional instructor programs. Depending on three majors, this paper has introduced educational objectives, educational contents, educational methods, and evaluation. Finally, it was suggested futuristic directions for restructuring curriculum in Department of Taekwondo.
