Stand type kimchi refrigerator has been popular model and also will predict wide rise of the growth but studies of stand type kimchi refrigerator are not enough. Propose of this study is solution of time and economic problem caused by complicated and hard test by analysing flow characteristics and temperature distribution in stand type kimchi refrigerator. Analysis program is CFX-11.0 and used force convection generated by fan revolution. Result of analysis, there are different parts between left flow and right flow and this fact causes difference of temperature distribution in kimchi refrigerator.

The behavior of a droplet impinging on a heated surface is investigated by acquiring droplet images using an ultra high-speed camera. This paper presents a comparative study on Leidenfrost phenomena according to temperature change on a flat plate. We use experimental data to analyze how the Weber number (We), spread factor (β) and maximum diameter in colliding of a water droplet impinging on the surface are related to the droplets behavior during impact and subsequent primary rebound. Experimental results show that a critical We value of 80 is provided which is a predictor for water droplet splashing for the surface.

The area of contact between the punch and material are important in the piercing process. Depending on which punch constitution will influence the life of the die or punch, the piercing force, the unloading force and the dimensional precision. Therefore, this piercing process need the optimal die design and working conditions determined by punch type. In this study, the possibility of using the finite element method(FEM) was investigated to analyze the sheared surface in piercing process by using 2D&3D-FEM.

To locate anomalous features including seepage pathways through the Daeryong earth-fill dam, P and Rayleigh waves were recorded along a 250-m profile on the crest of the dam. Seismic energy was generated using a 5-kg sledgehammer and detected by 24 4.5-Hz vertical-axis geophones installed at 3-m intervals. P-wave and apparent S-wave velocities of the reservoir dam and underlying bedrock were then inverted from first-arrival traveltimes and dispersion curves of Rayleigh waves, respectively. Apparent dynamic Poisson`s ratios as high as 0.46 were obtained at the base of the dam near its north-east end, where an outlet conduit occurs, and in the clay core body near the south-west end of the profile where the dam was repeatedly grouted to abate seepage before our survey. These anomalies of higher Poisson`s ratios in the upper part of clay core were also associated with effusion of grout on the downstream slope of the dam during post-survey grouting to abate leakage. Combining P-wave traveltime tomography and inversion of Rayleigh wave velocities was very effective in detecting potential pathways for seepage and previous grouted zones in this earthen dam.
