Sludge conditioning is important to sludge disposal and treatment with it's profits in cost and efficiency. This study was carried out to confirm the dewatering ability of the microbiological conditioning of sludge. The microorganism, Sphaerotilus natans, Bacillus subtilis and E. coli, were used in aerobic and anaerobic reactors, and each dewatering ability with specific resistance coefficient were investgated. The experimental results were as follows ; 1) Dewatering abilities of raw sludge without any conditioner were following results at the retention time of one to four days. 29.24%, 20.45%, 16.20%, 7.34% at aerobic reactor 23.02%, 28.22%, 35.75%, 16.85% at anaerobic reactor 2) The maximum dewatering abilities of conditioned sludge with the dosage of Sphaerotilus natans, Bacillus subtilis and E. coli were varied as follows ; 48.42%, 52.29%, 47.05% at aerobic reactor 53.96%, 61.45%, 46.10% at anaerobic reactor 3) The microorganism conditioner of Sphaerotilus natans changed "b" value from 0.0443 sec/㎝^(6) to 0.0212 sec/㎝^(6) in aerobic reactor and Bacillus subtilis to 0.0232 sec/㎝^(6) in anaerobic reactor at the retention time of one day. The "b" values of raw sludge were changed from 0.0443 sec/㎝^(6) to 0.0391 sec/㎝^(6), 0.0257 sec/㎝^(6) and 0.0124 sec/㎝^(6) with each dosage of polymer as chemical conditionera, 10㎎/ℓ, 50㎎/ℓ and 75㎎/ℓ.
광촉매와 광증감제를 이용한 유기염소화합물의 광분해에 관한 연구

Phetodegradation of organic chlorocompounds(chloroform, trichloroethylene, chlorobenzene) in aqueous suspension of several semiconductors(TiO₂, ZnO, SnO₂) and in aqueous solutions of inorganic anion(S₂O_(8)^(2-), NO₃^(-), NO₂^(-)) have been studied. Photocatalytic degradation of organic chlorocompounds was increased in the order of SnO₂ < ZnO < TiO₂. which irradiated by 450W medium pressure Hg lamp through pyex filter Unsaturated and aromatic hydrocarbon was degradated more effectively than saturated hydrocarbon. When inorganic anions was added to reaction solution as photosensitizer, photodegradation of organic chlorocompounds was much increased bs- S₂O_(8)^(2-), but little affected by NO₃^(-) or NO₂^(-), which irradiated by 15W low pressure Hg lamp.
