As North Korea signed 'the Korea Peninsula Non-Nuclearization Joint Declaration' at the end of last year as well as full-scope safeguards agreement with the IAEA in Jan.30 1992, her nuclear activity was incorporated into the international monitoring system and opportunities were arranged to .obstruct her nuclear weapon development and nuclear material diversion, which have been international issues up to recent years. However, achieving goals of the Joint Declaration and safeguards agreement should presuppose North Korea's sincerity toward the abandonment of nuclear weapon development. In this study, first of all, her nuclear policy, current situation of nuclear development and the capability of nuclear development are analyzed. Also, based on the analysis. attempts have been made to find methods of effective performance of the South-North Korea mutual nuclear inspection and the suggested methods are as follows; 1) Analysis of the limits of IAEA inspection and suggestion of its supplementary strategies 2) Securing and training professional inspectors for the South-North mutual inspection 3) Establishment of the verification technology to detect nuclear material diversion.

The recent introduction of Metal spraying method apply to construction and civil steel structure is increasing. In applying the metal spraying lining process of construction and civil steel structure to secure the adhesion strength between the metal thermal spray coating and the steel structure and the highest priority requirements are required bond strength test reliable measurement accordingly. In this study, by calculating the deposition intensity and the standard deviation, coefficient of variation corresponding to the bonding area, unlike the shape of the attachment we compared the results.

Three of the most important factors governing liquid transmission in unsaturated soils are field-saturated hydraulic conductivity, K<sub>fs</sub>, matric flux potential, Ø<sub>m</sub>, and sorptivity, S. The Guelph Permeameter is an in-hole constant-head permeameter, employing the Mariotte Principle. The study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of the watershed average infiltration coefficient measured by the Guelph Permeameter at the Backokpo watershed in the Han river and at the Bangdong watershed in the Keum river.

The objective of this study is to propose how to acquire through international cooperation the sensitive nuclear technology, so called reprocessing technology. In spite of the need to reuse spent fuel, the transfer of the sensitive technology has been tightly controlled by the nuclear advanced countries due to the fear of nuclear proliferation and, in fact, it would be impossible to secure it by the economic means. In this regard, as a means of acquiring the sensitive nuclear technology, this study proposes the following; 1) President's declaration concerning the peaceful uses of nuclear energy, 2) the establishment and maintenance of national basis through inter-ministerial cooperation, 3) as a confidence building measure, the efforts to strengthen our role in the international nuclear community, and 4) the establishment of the synthetic feedback system to efficiently coordinate. In line with those stated above, this study suggests that it be necessary to invest consistently for developing new technologies and cultivating human resources. Furthermore, this study proposes the necessity to resolve the problems lying ahead by the national consensus achieved through the discussions among the public concerning the sensitive nuclear technology.

This study evaluated the applicability of in-situ concrete pile as a stabilization materials of embankment slopes including agricultural reservoir and rural road etc. The experimental embankment slopes was constructed to investigate the strength properties of in-situ concrete pile with embankment materials and boring methods. The test variable were applied the boring method(driving and augering) and water-cement ratio. In order to analyze the physical and mechanical properties of embankment materials, permeability and water contents test were was performed. Also, the freshly and harden of in-situ concrete properties were measured by the slump and compressive strength tests. The results showed the water content and permeability of embankment materials and boring methods affected on compressive strength of in-situ concrete pile.

The Helium circulator is a unique high speed rotating component in the Very High Temperature gas-cooled Reactor(VHTR) which is a candidated nuclear reactor for hydrogen production. Control of gaseous impurities in the VHTR is a significant operating requirement. The oil vapor induced by a circulator will contaminate and damage the sophisticated high temperature components composed of Graphite material. Therefore, Helium circulator needs an elimination of the oil systems required by traditional bearing designs. An oil less magnetic bearing circulator could meet the requirement for VHTR, because the control object in the magnetic bearing system enables the rotor to rotate without any physical contact by using magnetic force. We study the status of magnetic bearing technology and pick out possible problem when the large size helium circulator adapted the magnetic bearing as his bearing system.
