이 글은 남성 필진에 의해 주도된 여성 잡지 『부인』, 『신여성』의 여성 범죄 관련 기사가 주요 독자층인 여학생을 효과적으로 통제하려는 전략 하에 구성 및 편집되었음을 확인하였다. 『부인』과 『신여성』의 여성 범죄 기사는 대부분 구여성의 범죄를 다룬다. 사건보도 형식의 기사는 구여성의 범죄 사건을 놀라울 만큼 전근대적인 사건으로 소개하고, 논설문은 범죄에 내몰린 구여성의 무지함을 강조함으로써 구여성 범죄자를 흥미와 계몽의 대상으로 타자화한다. 하지만 여성의 죄에 대한 논의는 여학생이 도덕적 규범을 위반하지 않도록 강제하기도 한다. 여학생은 여학생의 외양을 하고서 밀매음, 사기 등의 범죄를 저지르는 가장(假裝)여학생과 자신을 구분하기 위해 사회가 ‘죄’로 규정하는 성적・물적 욕망을 억누르고, 사회가 만든 ‘여학생다움’에 부합하고자 스스로를 검열하고 통제한다. 여학생을 사회에 이바지하는 바람직한 여성이 되도록 통제하려는 여성 잡지의 기획과 전략 속에서, 여학생과 구여성 범죄자의 대립적 구도는 여학생의 사회적 역할을 확대하기보다는 여성계 내부의 갈등과 분열을 통해 여성에 대한 남성의 우위를 공고히하기 위해 활용되었다. This article confirmed that the articles related to women’s crime in the women’s magazines Women and New Women, led by male writers, were edited under a strategy to effectively control their primary readership, female students. The women’s crime articles in Women and New Women mostly deal with crimes committed by the old-fashioned women. The article in the form of case reporting introduces the criminal case of the old-fashioned woman as a surprisingly pre-modern case, while the opinion pieces emphasize the ignorance of these female criminals, thus objectifying them as subjects of interest and enlightenment. However, these discussions about women’s crimes also serve to enforce moral norms upon female students. Female students differentiate themselves from pseudo-female students by assuming the appearance of the ideal female student, suppressing their sexual and material desires that society defines as “sin”, and censoring and controlling themselves in order to become the desirable students society expects them to be. Within the strategies aimed at controlling and molding female students into desirable women who contribute to society, the confrontational structure between female students and female criminals was used to solidify men’s dominance over women through conflicts and divisions within the female community.

염상섭 소설에 나타나는 서구중심주의 비판 연구 -『사랑과 죄』의 모던걸 비판을 중심으로

이 글은 염상섭의 장편소설 『사랑과 죄』의 문제적 인물인 정마리아의 단발 사건을 1920년대 후반 조선과 일본의 유행에 선풍적인 영향을 끼친 아메리카니즘에 대한 염상섭의 비판적인 관점과 결부시켜 해석하고자 하였다. 정마리아의 단발은 이후 정마리아의 변장을 위한 서사적 장치일 뿐만 아니라, 정마리아가 당대 조선에 선풍적인 인기를 끌었던 미국 할리우드 영화의 ‘플래퍼’와 ‘팜므파탈’ 표상을 동경하여 자신을 영화 속의 주인공과 무비판적으로 동일시한 결과이다. 나아가 단발을 한 정마리아의 허영을 천편일률적으로 비판하는 주요 인물들과 사회의 시선은 그들 자신에게도 내재되어 있는 서양 문화에 대한 동경을 간과하고 있다는 점에서 이중성을 지니며, 이는 작품 내에서 유일하게 객관적이고 이성적인 시선을 견지하는 인물 김호연과의 대비 속에서 비판의 대상이 된다. 요컨대 염상섭은 『사랑과 죄』에 모던걸의 표상과 모던걸을 향한 사회의 천편일률적인 시선 모두를 비판적으로 그려냄으로써 서구 문화를 맹목적으로 모방하는 조선 사회를 비판한 것이다. 이러한 관점은 『사랑과 죄』를 시작으로 『이심』, 『광분』, 『삼대』로 이어지는 염상섭의 장편소설에 등장하는 여성 범죄자를 인물론적으로 분석하는 방식에서 나아가, 여성 범죄자를 기계적인 시선으로 바라보고 평가하는 사회의 결점을 풍자적으로 그려내는 염상섭만의 비판적인 사회의식을 확인할 수 있다는 의의를 갖는다. This article sought to interpret the bobbed-off incident of Jeong Maria, a problematic character in Yeom Sang-seop’s feature novel “Love and Sin”, in connection with Yeom Sang-seop’s critical view of Americanism, which had a strong influence on the popular trends of Joseon and Japan in the late 1920s. Jeong Maria’s bobbed hair was not only an epic device for her subsequent disguise afterwards, but was also the result of Jeong Maria’s admiration for the representations of “flappers” and “femmes fatales” in American Hollywood movies that were a sensation in Joseon at the time, uncritically identifying herself with the main character of a movie. Furthermore, the views of major characters and of society uniformly criticizing the vanity of Jeong Maria’s bobbed hair project duality in that their own inherent admiration for Western culture, an aspect that is criticized in contrast to Kim Ho-yeon, the only character in the work who maintains an objective and rational gaze. In short, Yeom Sang-seop criticized Joseon society’s blind imitation of Western culture by critically depicting both the representation of modern girls and society’s uniform view of modern girls in “Love and Sin”. This perspective is meaningful in confirming Yeom Sang-seop’s critical social consciousness, which satirically portrays the flaws of a society that views and evaluates female criminals with a mechanical perspective, going beyond the method of analyzing female criminals in his feature novels.

지역 내 의원 수와 예방 가능한 병원 서비스 이용 간의 관계분석: 천식 환자를 중심으로

Purposes: The purpose of this study was to analyze the trends of hospitalization and emergency room visits of asthma patients over the three years in 25 districts of Seoul. And analyzed the relationship between preventable hospital service uses and number of clinics for asthma patients. Methods: Data was collected from a customized database of the NHI(National Health Insurance) for 2016 to 2018. The number of clinics means Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Ear-Nose-Throat, and Family Medicine clinics. The hospital service means the number of adults admission for asthma and the number of total asthma emergency visits. This study used kappa analysis to assess the agreements of indicators between years, and structural equation modeling analysis was applied to analyze the relationship. Findings: The kappa value of the number of adults admission for asthma was compared between 2016 and 2017(kappa score=0.68), and was lowered when compared between 2016 and 2018(kappa score=0.26). And the value of kappa in the number of total asthma emergency visits due to asthma between 2016 and 2017(kappa score=0.51) was lower than that of between 2016 and 2018(kappa score=0.60). And the results showed that the number of clinics significantly negatively related to the uses of hospital services in asthmatic patients(β=-0.5, p=0.005). Practical Implication: This research could provide policy implications for strengthening primary care services that can contribute to the reduction of preventable hospital services.

Surgery is the primary treatment for adenocarcinoma originating from the esophagogastric junction. However, many physicians attempt various endoscopic treatments for the cases of early adenocarcinoma and high-grade dysplasia of esophagogastric junction in order to avoid the high risk of complications associated with surgical resection. Recently, there is an increasing tendency to use endoscopic mucosal resection for the management of early esophageal cancer due to low morbidity and mortality rates. We report here on a case of early adenocarcinoma at esophagogastric junction successfully treated with endoscopic mucosal resection.
