Effects on sintering and electrical properties of $La_{0.7}Ca_{0.3}Cr_{0.9}Co_{0.1}O_{3-{\delta}}$ system, a interconnect material for cylindrical and flat tubular solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), have been investigated by Ca-source when using $CaCO_3$ and $CaF_2$. When using $CaCO_3$ and $CaF_2$ was mixing as Ca-source, single phased perovskite solid solution was observed for each sample. The sintering temperature was decreased by $CaF_2$ contents was increased. When using 0.1 mole $CaF_2$ was densely sintered at $1400^{\circ}C$ and relative density was 93.8%. Also, electrical conductivity in oxidation and reducing atmosphere was 47, 4.3 S/cm, respectively, due to $F^-$ ion enhance the electrical conductivity in reducing atmosphere.

Vasectomy has become a popular method for male sterilization and this, in tum, has been followed by an increase in the number of patients requiring vasectomy reversal. Recently, many authors have reported a high success rate of vasovasostomy using microsurgical techniques. However, a significant discrepancy exist between the anatomical patency rate and pregnancy rate despite improvements in surgical techniques. Number of 420 patients who underwent vasovasostomy by a modified one layer reanastomosis from January 1986 to December 1994 were reviewed. Of the total, Complete follow up were possible in 115 patients. Of the 115 patients, 74 patients were treated by macroscopic reanastomosis, and microscopic technique were applied in 41 patients. Duration of vasal obstruction, gross apperance of vasal fluid, operative method, presence or absence of sperm and sperm granuloma, and results of postoperative semen analysis were analyzed as factors influencing the pregnancy rate. Success rates for patency and for pregnancy were 81% and, 42% respectively. Rate of pregnancy were increased if there were shorter periods of obstruction(<10years), bilateral observation of watery vasal fluid, presence of sperm bilaterally, bilateral presence of sperm granuloma at the vasectomy site, and normal results on postoperative semenalysis. With these results, we can conclude that all factors mentioned may affect the success rate of pregnancy following vasovasostomy.

Current nanogold cluster synthesized by chemical routine with 11 or 55 atoms of gold has been widely used for immuno chemistry probe as a form of nanocluster conjugated with biomolecules. It would be an undeveloped region that the 1 nm size of nanogold could be made by materials engineering processing. Therefore, objective of this study is to minimize the size of gold nanocluster as a function of operating temperature and chamber pressure in inert gas condensation (IGC) processing. Evaporation temperature was controlled by input current from 50 A to 65 A. Chamber pressure was controlled by argon gas with a range of 0.05 to 2 torr. The gold nanocluster by IGC was evaluated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The gold nanocluster for TEM analysis was directly sampled with special in-situ method during the processing. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) was used to observe 3-D nanogold layer surfaces on a slide glass for the following biomolecule conjugation step. The size of gold nanoclusters had a close relationship with the processing condition such as evaporation temperature and chamber pressure. The approximately 1 nm size of nanogold was obtained at the processing condition for 1 torr at $1124 ^{\circ}C$.
근수축 구현 방식에 따른 레그프레스 트레이닝이 하지근력에 미치는 영향

전태원, 신현정, 김용운, 박성태. 근수축 구현 방식에 따른 레그프레스 트레이닝이 하지근력에 미치는 영향. 운동과학, 제20권 제4호. 397-404, 2011. 본 연구는 12주간의 레그프레스 동작을 통한 등장성 트레이닝과 등속성 트레이닝이 하지근력에 미치는 효과 차이를 분석하는 것이다. 연구대상자는 20대 젊은 성인 남성으로 규칙적인 운동 트레이닝의 경험이 없는 60명을 선정하였다. 이들을 20명씩 세 그룹으로 무선배정하여 등장성 트레이닝 집단(IT), 등속성 트레이닝 집단(IK) 그리고 통제집단(Con)으로 나누었다. 각 집단은 사전에 등장성 및 등속성 근력측정을 시행하였고, 12주 트레이닝 기간 후에 같은 측정을 시행하였다. 두 트레이닝 집단은 등장성 및 등속성 측정과 트레이닝이 동시에 가능한 장비를 이용하였으며, 통제집단은 12주간 일상생활을 유지하도록 하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 등장성 근력측정 결과, 등장성 트레이닝집단과 등속성 트레이닝집단은 양측, 우측, 좌측 근력측정 모두에서 트레이닝 전에 비해 트레이닝 후에 최대근력의 증가를 나타내었고, 통제집단은 트레이닝 전후에 유의한 차이가 없었으며. 두 트레이닝집단 간의 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 등속성 근력측정 결과에서도 등장성 트레이닝집단과 등속성 트레이닝집단은 모든 측정 모드와 저속, 고속측정에서 트레이닝 후에 최대근력의 증가를 나타내었고, 통제집단은 트레이닝 전후에 유의한 차이가 없었으며. 두 트레이닝집단 간의 유의한 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 결론적으로 등장성 및 등속성 레그프레스 트레이닝은 하지근력의 향상을 위한 트레이닝 방법으로 적합한 것으로 제안될 수 있다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the difference of low-extremity muscle strength to isotonic and isokinetic leg press training. For this purpose, sixty healthy male participants were randomly assigned to the isotonic (IT: n=20), the isokinetic (IK: n=20) and the control (Con: n=20) group. Both IT and IK groups trained their bilateral (UI), unilateral right (ULR), unilateral left (ULL) leg 3 sessions/week for 12 weeks on dynamometer with isotonic or isokinetic method, respectively. Isotonic and isokinetic tests were performed on a dynamometer before and after strength training. Significant strength increases in both two test conditions were noticed for IT and IK groups without any significant difference between the two trained groups. And there is no change in control group. In conclusion, both isotonic and isokinetic training methods could be proposed to improve muscle strength in various training fields.
Germination Characteristics of Photoblastic Weedy Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Seed

광발아성을 가진 것으로 추정되는 검은색 종피 잡초성 벼의 발아 특성을 구명하며 잡초성벼 방제의 기초자료로 제공하고자 백색광, R 및 FR광에 따른 발아특성, 종피의 영향 및 암흡습으로 인한 2차 휴면특성을 조사하였다. 광발아성 추정 잡초성 벼의 발아율은 광조건에서 100%이었으나 암조건에서는 6%로 낮았고 R광 처리시 발아율이 증가하였으며 R광 처리후 FR광 처리시 발아율이 감소하였다. 또 R광과 FR광 혼합처리시 혼합횟수에 관계없이 마지막 광이 R이면 발아가 촉진되었고 FR이면 발아가 억제되어 검은색 종피 잡초성벼는 광발아성 종자임이 확인되었다. 또 종피를 제거했을 경우 광발아성 특성을 나타내지 않았고, 종자를 암상태에서 수분을 흡수시킬 경우 2차 휴면으로 인해 발아율이 낮아졌는데 2차 휴면 정도는 암흡습 기간이 길수록 증가되어 5일 이후에는 발아율이 1% 이하로 낮았다. The effects of different light qualities on the germination characteristics of a newly-discovered black-hulled weedy rice line that shows photoblastism was evaluated. In addition, the effects of rice hull and dark imbibition duration on germination was also studied. The germination percentage under white light was greater than 98% and less than 6% in darkness, indicating that the black-hulled weedy rice sees as positively photoblastic. While red light (R) stimulated germination, the germination was lower than in the white light treatment and the germination percentage of the seeds exposed to far-red light (FR) was similar to those maintained in darkness. The exposure to R for 30 sec. increased germination and this effect was saturated at an exposure of 15 min. The R effect was reversed by subsequent exposure to FR. Phytochrome control of the photoblastic weedy rice seed germination was confirmed by R/FR reversibility. The removal of the hull restored seed germination completely even in dark condition. Non-dormant weedy rice seeds imbibed in the dark enter a deep secondary dormancy, the depth of which was positively related to the duration of imbibition period. These results show that the black-hulled weedy rice seeds exhibit phytochrome-meditated photoblasticity, hull-imposed dormancy and secondary dormancy.
편측과 양측 저항 트레이닝이 고령 여성의 하지 근력, 파워 및 비대칭지수에 미치는 영향

As a training strategy for prevention of falling of the elderly, this study compared effect of unilateral resistance training with bilateral resistance training on muscle force, power and leg asymmetry during leg press movement. Twenty-three untrained elderly women(65-85 years) were participated in this study. They were randomly assigned to 3 groups: unilateral training group(UTG, n=8), bilateral training group(BTG, n=7), control(CG, n=8). Subjects in training groups followed elastic band protocol(10 exercises, 2-3 sets/exercise, 3 day/week) for 12 weeks. UTG exercised additionally more 1-2 sets in weaker leg than in stronger leg. Leg muscle force, power and leg asymmetry were measured at baseline and after training. Muscle force was increased significantly in BTG and UTG compared to CG in weaker side and bilateral side of low speed test. In high speed test, muscle force was increased significantly in BTG and UTG in weaker side. In power, UTG showed significantly increase in weaker side of low speed and stronger side of high speed. Both BTG and UTG significantly showed increase in bilateral side of low speed and weaker side of high speed. Force asymmetry was significantly decreased in UTG and BTG compared to CG in low speed and in only UTG of high speed. In conclusively, unilateral and bilateral resistance training increased muscle force and power in weaker leg. And force asymmetry was improved in both unilateral and bilateral training groups of low speed test and in only unilateral training group of high speed test.
