The main purpose of this study was to provide a development plan for the Korean billiard industry. The methods utilized in this study include web-crawling through Python, review of literature, non-participatory observation of events, interviews with experts and the marketing specialists in the area of Korean billiard industry, and a case study on European professional billiard league. This study found the following results. First of all, Korea Billiard Federation(KBF) was recommended to initiate the effective membership program in which would be the main revenue stream for KBF. Second, KBF is to organize a new type of league with five divisions including upper divisions (1·2 division) for elite athletes and the sub divisions(3․4 divisions) for amateur athletes with the systematic process of promotion and relegation. Last, building a state-of-the-art billiard venue in which is solely dedicated to the game of billiard would be beneficial to KBF.

듀안안구후퇴증후군의 수술결과 분석

Purpose: To report the clinical characteristics and the results of a series of patients treated with various strabismus surgery techniques for Duane retraction syndrome (DRS). Methods: Thirty-eight patients with DRS undergoing surgical treatment were retrospectively reviewed. In all patients, ocular alignment, abnormal head posture and ocular motility disturbance were assessed both preoperatively and postoperatively. The patients were treated with appropriate horizontal muscle recession, Y-splitting combined with horizontal muscle recession, medial rectus recession and lateral rectus resection. Results: The incidence of DRS was greater in females and in the left eye. Type 1 was the most common, and esodeviation was seen most frequently in the primary position. The esotropic patients with DRS turned their faces toward the affected eyes, while the exotropic patients with DRS turned away from the affected eyes. The deviation in the primary position was reduced from an average of 15.0 prism diopters (PD) to 1.5PD. The face turn was reduced from an average of 17.5 degrees to 1.2 degrees. Conclusions: The primary deviation and abnormal head posture found in DRS can be improved by proper preoperative evaluation and adequate choice of surgical methods. 목적: 수술적 교정이 필요하였던 듀안안구후퇴증후군 환자를 대상으로 임상 양상과 수술 결과에 대하여 알아보고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 듀안안구후퇴증후군 환자 38명(40안)을 대상으로 수평근 후전술 단독시행, 수평근 후전술 및 Y형 분리술, 내직근 후전술과 함께 외직근 절제술을 시행하고 수술 전후의 사시각, 이상두위, 안구운동장애와 내전시 과도한 상전 및 하전, 안구후퇴 여부를 후향적 으로 분석하였다. 결과: 여성(73.7%)과 좌안(63.2%)에서 발생빈도가 높았으며, 제I형이 가장 많았다(84.2%). 내편위가 가장 흔하였고 얼굴돌림은 내사시의 경우 환안쪽으로, 외사시의 경우 환안의 반대방향으로 나타났다. 술 전 사시각은 15.0±5.9 프리즘디옵터(PD)에서 술 후 1.5±2.3PD로 감소하였으며, 이상두위 역시 술 전 17.5±6.6°에서 1.2±2.3°로 감소하였다. 결론: 듀안안구후퇴증후군 환자에서 술 전 검사를 통한 적절한 수술방법 선택으로 안구편위, 이상두위의 호전을 확인할 수 있었다.

B형 간염 항원 양성환자에서 발생한 막성 신염과 IgA 신증의 중복 신염 1예

Membranous nephropathy and IgA nephropsthy are relatively common lesions among primary glomerular diseases. However, a case of glomerulonephritis combining the features of IgA nephropathy and membranous nephropathy has rarely been reported. We sre reporting such a case with features of both IgA and membranous nephropathy associsted with hepatitis B surface antigenemia. A 43 year-old man with hepatitis B surface sntigenemia developed the nephrotie syndrome. Renal biopsy revealed a glomerulonephritis with features of both IgA nephropathy and membranous nephropathy. Light microseopy showed mild, focal mesangial expansion and hypercellularity. Immunofluorescence microsocopy demonstrated both granular deposits of IgA in the mesangium and granular deposits of IgG along the capillary loops. On electron microscopy, electron dense deposits were identified not only in the para mesangial area but also on the subepithelial side of glomerular basement membrane.

한국산 두류의 Trypsin Inhibitor에 관한 생화학적 연구

This study was undertaken establish the relationship between trypsin inhibitor in raw soybean and antinutritional effect of raw legumes. 1) Among legumes produced in Korea, Glycine max contains a relatively high amount of protein(higher than 40%) compared with kindey bean, sword bean and mung bean and, furthermore, soybean which contains a high amount of protein possesses high trypsin inhibitory activity. 2) Disc electrophoretic pattern exhibited pattern exhibited that the crude protein preparation from Glycine max produced about 9-12 protein bands, and the pattern of electrophoretic mobility was very similar to each other. However, only a few protein bands were observed from the crude protein preparation of yard long bean, sword bean, adzuki bean, mung bean and rice adzuki. From the eluate of the sliced gel, it was confirmed that among those bands, only the fastest moving band contains trypsin inhibitory activity. 3) In chicks fed the normal diet the body weight was increased steady from one week and reached to 40% increase for three weeks but in chick fed raw bean diet, there was no body weight gain until two weeks feeding and only 10-20% of body weight gain was observed at the end of three week feeding. On the other hand, in chicks fed raw bean diet the weight of pancreatic tissue per 100g body weight was increased to about two-fold for two or three weeks but there was no change in liver weight. 4) In the case of amylase secretion from the pancreatic fragment, very strong stimulation on amylase secretion from pancreatic tissue of chicks fed a normal diet was produced by one unit of cholecystokin-pancreozymin. However, no stimulation was observed from pancreatic fragment of chick fed raw bean diet.

The Effect of Achievement Goal Orientation on the Self-management of College Judo Athletes

[OBJECTIVES] Primary purpose of current research was to examine effect of goal orientation tendency on self control. [METHODS] Among 2018 college athlets of Korea Judo Association, participants were recruited through convinence sampling. Except for insincere replies, 215 replies were analyzed for the study. Effect of achivement goal orientation of college athletes was examined throuhgh multiple regression. path analysis with Structured equation model was applied to analyze structural relationship between achievement goal orientation and self control of college athletes, which is the main purpose of this study [RESULTS] At first, current research found that ego-orientation tendency and task orientation tendency have a positive effect on interpersonal relationship. Secondly, ego orientation tendency and task orientation tendency have a positive effect on psychological management of college athletes. Third, for physical management, task orientation tendency had a positive effect while it did not show significant effct on training management. Finally, as a result of analyzing structural relationship between achievement goal orientation tendency and self control, current study found that ego orientation tendency had positive effct only for interpersonal and psychological management. Task orientation tendency positively affect interpersonal, psychological, physical, and training management. [CONCLUSIONS] This research found significant evidence that task orientation tendency, among achievement goal orientation, positively affect self control strategy of college Judo athletes. Task orientation tendency needs to be considered to enhance athletes` performance during coaching.
