성 교육 프로그램이 지적장애인의 성 인식 및 성 태도에 미치는 효과성 연구 : 관산구 지역내 특수학교 및 보호작업장 지적장애인을 대상으로

인간에게 있어 성은 기본적인 욕구 중 일부분일 뿐이다. 따라서 지적장애인이 한 개인으로, 가족의 일원으로, 지역사회의 한 시민으로, 건강하고 효과적으로 살아가게 할 지식과 태도 및 행동을 개발하도록 하여 정상화의 삶으로 살아갈 수 있도록 하기 위해 성 교육은 빠뜨릴 수 없는 영역이다. 본 연구는 17세 - 30세 이하의 지적장애인을 대상으로 또래의 비장애인이 가지고 있는 성 인식의 수준과의 차이를 알아보고, 성 교육사전-사후의 성지식, 성적경험, 성적태도에 대한 변화가 있는가와 성별의 차이, 장애등급의 차이에 따른 성지식, 성적경험, 성적태도에 대한 수준이 어떠한 가에 대한 것을 알아보는 데 목적을 두었다. 연구결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지적장애인들과 비장애인들의 성지식에 대한 점수 차이가 크고, 특히 신체부위명 보다는 신체부위의 기능에 대한 인지가 떨어지는 것으로 나타났으며, 성적인 경험의 차이는 분명히 있었고 성적인 경험은 별로 차이가 없었으며 성적태도의 변화도 별로 없었다. 셋째, 성 교육 후 실험집단과 비장애인들의 성 인식 차이의 격차는 크게 나타나지 않았다. 넷째, 성별에 따른 성지식, 성적경험, 성적태도의 차이는 없는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 장애등급에 따른 성지식의 차이는 있었으며, 성적경험, 성적태도의 차이는 별로 없었다. 이 결과로부터 필자가 얻은 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 지적장애인들을 위한 적절한 성교육 교과과정을 만들고 수준에 맞는 성 교육을 제공할 필요가 있다. 둘째, 지적장애인의 성에 대한 변화는 직접적인 교사뿐만 아니라 부모의 영향과 또 다른 접촉을 갖는 교사는 주변인들의 태도에 의해 많은 영향을 받으므로 적절한 부모, 교사, 주변인에 대한 교육을 실시해야 한다. 셋째, 장애정도에 따라 혹은 개별적인 능력에 따른 성에 대한 인식수준이 차이가 있으므로 개별적인 교육과 집단교육을 병행하는 것이 필요하다. 넷째, 지적장애인을 위한 전문 성 교육전문가가 많이 양성되어야 한다. For human,sex is part of basic desire. Therefore, sexuality-education of intellectual and developmental disabled person is important for life normalization as a healthy individual, a family's unitary and a citizens of local community. This research searches difference with level of sex awareness between intellectual and developmental disabled people's age of 17 and 30 and same age of normal people. The purpose of research is knowledge of sexual matters, sexual experiences and sexual attitude within the class of disabilities and also knowledge of sexual matters, sexual experiences and sexual attitude of before and after of sexuality education within gender. The research result is as following. First, there was significant point differences between disabled group and normal group in sexual awareness. There, specially, was lower awareness of body function than name of body part, disparity in sexual experiences, and they have neative image in sexual attitude. Second, there was clear difference after sexuality-education but sexual experience was no difference particularly and there was no many change of sexual attitude. Third, there was no difference of sex awareness between handicapped person and normal person. Fourth, there were no disparity in knowledge of sexual matters, sexual experiences and sexual attitude by gender. Fifth, there were disparity of knowledge of sexual matters but no disparity of sexual experiences and attitude. Conclusion that writer obtains is as following from the result. First, it needs to make proper sex education course and level for intellectual and developmental disabilities. Second, it needs suitable sex education for parents, teachers and friends because disabled person's sex awareness is influenced by them. Third, it needs individual education and group education according to awareness level about sex because individual ability is difference. The last, a lot of professional sex educationist for intellectual and developmental disabled person should be trained.
