Heterotopic calcification and ossification are a well recognized but uncommon sequelae of abdomi- nal trauma. This condition may lead to discomfort and cause alarm, confusion and mistaken diagnosis; it may mimic a foreign body sensation. Its recognition, diagnosis and treatment, therefore, warrant emphasis. Two cases of heterotopic bone formations in abdominal scars were reported in Korea. We experi- enced a case who had had external trauma on abdomen 20 years before. After decades due to abdominal discomfort, pain and palpable mass the patient went through clinical evaluation and laparotomy was performed. The diagnosis of heterotopic calcification with bone formation was made. We present this case with a review of relevant literatures.

Primary sclercsing cholangitis is a rare disease characterized by total or partial involvement of the extrahepatic bi1iary ducts. It often involves the intrahepatic biliary radicles by a progressive inflamm- atory sclerosing and obliterative process, which results in chronic biliary cirrhosis and eventually liver failure and coma. Criteria for diagnosis include: (1) absence of previous biliary surgery: (2) absence of gallstones: (3) diffuse generalized involvement of the extrahepatic biliary ducts: (4) exclusion of cholangiocarcinoma by reasonably Iong follow-up study. Two cases of primary sclerosing cho]angitis observed lately in the department of Internal Medicine, St. Marys Hospital, Catholic Medical College were reported. Two cases ivere sucessfu)ly treated. 최근 안드로이드 소프트웨어의 숫자가 날로 증가하고 있는 동시에 사용자들의 요구 수준도 함께 높아지고 있다. 이에 따라 소프트웨어의 품질을 높이기 위한 테스트 과정의 중요성이 두드러지고 있으며 안드로이드 소프트웨어는 GUI를 기반으로 하고 있기 때문에 현존하는 GUI 테스트 기법들을 이에 적용시키는 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. GUI 테스트 기법 중 Record-Playback 기법은 사용자의 사용 흐름을 기록 후 재현하는 방식으로 테스트를 반 자동화함으로 테스트 과정에 소모되는 시간과 자원을 감소시키기 때문에 많은 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 하지만, 이 기법은 테스트 케이스 생성 시 테스터의 비효율적인 노동을 증가시키는 문제점이 발생하고 있으며, 또한 안드로이드 환경에 적용시키기 위해서 그 특성에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 환경에 적합한 RPB 기반 테스트 케이스 생성 및 활용 방안에 대해 제안한다. 이는 소프트웨어 테스트에 소요되는 시간과 자원을 감소시켜 소프트웨어의 품질 향상에 도움이 된다.

상수도 요금은 물이 갖는 공공성 때문에 일반적인 상품과는 달리 정부의 규제를 받는다. 일반적인 경제원리 만으로는 요금제도를 설명할 수 없고 경제적 효율성은 물론 사회적 형평성 그리고 정치적인 용인성을 동시에 달성해야 하는 어려움이 있다. 본 연구는 수도요금에 대한 다양한 접근을 통해 향후 상수도 요금정책에 대한 정책적 제언을 하고자 하였다. 공급자 측면에서는 규모의 경제와 동시에 거리에 따른 추가적인 비용을 검토해야하며 소비자들의 속성에 따라 차등적이고 형평성 있는 요금정책이 요구된다. 현재 우리나라는 지역별 요금이 다를 뿐 아니라 소득계층별로도 요금의 사회적 형평성 및 효율성을 담보하고 있지 못하다. 또한 상수도 공급을 위해 지속적으로 상승하고 있는 비용은 물론 다양한 외부효과에 따른 비용을 내재화 할 수 있는 요금체계에 대한 연구가 시급하다.

논문 : 패널자료를 이용한 생활용수 수요의 가격탄력도 분석

Demand side management(DSM) is the newly raised issues in the water resources management in recent. Many of the policy tools among demand management, the most important measures might be a pricing system. Furthermore, the responses of consumers on the price for water consumption level is the key factor for policy making. Here, we estimated panel data for 167 regions and over 7 years periods in Korea. Compare to other previous studies the price elasticities were somewhat low. The estimated price elasticity was -0.05. It was because the short term estimated period may derive lower elasticities. However, it might be a recent trend after the continuous increment of water pricing and consumers not willing to decrease their residential water consumption with increasing water pricing. According to this results, water saving effect might be much smaller than we expect with pricing policy. However, It does not imply there is no price effects on water consumption and it`s still meaningful as a tool of water management

이제까지의 상수도정책은 공급정책이 대부분을 차지해왔다. 그러나 합리적인 수도정책에는 수요자에 대한 분석이 요구된다. 본 연구는 소비자 1,000명을 대상으로 상수도 수요와 관련된 질문을 통해 향후 수도정책의 방향을 제공하고자 하였다. 소비자들은 음용을 제외한 대부분 용도의 수돗물에 대한 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 수돗물에 대한 만족도와 기대도 분석을 보면 음용수에 대한 기대도는 높은데 만족도는 가장 낮았다. 그럼에도 불구하고 다른 항목에 비해 음용수의 수질개선에 대한 기대도는 상대적으로 낮았다. 이는 우리나라 소비자들의 소비성향을 고려할 때 수돗물의 수질이 아무리 좋아져도 수돗물을 음용율은 지극히 제한적으로 증가할 것이라는 의미이다. 따라서 향후 수돗물의 수질을 어느 정도의 비용으로 얼마나 개선할 것인지에 대한 신중한 판단이 요구된다.

안드로이드 어플리케이션 이식성 분석을 위한 로그 필터링 방안

현재 안드로이드 시장에는 플랫폼의 높은 성장세에 따른 수요의 증가로 각기 다른 플랫폼 버전이 탑재된 하드웨어가 혼재되어 있다. 이에 따라 애플리케이션 개발 과정에서 안드로이드 버전 간 이식성에 대한 테스트의 필요성이 대두하고 있다. 기존의 연구에서는 이를 위하여 테스트 케이스 생성 과정 및 테스트 수행을 자동화하여 플랫폼 버전 별로 테스트를 수행하는 방식으로 문제점을 해결하고자 하였다. 하지만 기존 과정에서는 버전 별 로그 비교 분석 및 정보 도출을 위해 많은 시간을 소모하는데 반해 정확한 정보를 얻기 힘들다는 단점을 가지고 있다. 이에 본 논문에서는 안드로이드 어플리케이션 이식성 분석을 위한 로그 필터링 방안을 제안한다. 이 방안은 로그 분류에 필요한 기준을 정하고 로그 분석 전에 정해진 기준에 따라 불필요한 부분을 제거한다. 이 과정을 통해 이식성 분석에 연관된 고르만을 분석하도록 하여 기존의 문제점을 보완할 수 있다. 이를 통해 로그 분석 시 효율성을 높이며 동시에 정확한 오류 분석 정보를 도출해낼 수 있다. 결과적으로 소프트웨어의 이식 개발 과정을 편리하게 하는 이점을 얻을 수 있다.

의학전문대학원 학생들의 학업성취도 분석 - 개인적 특성 및 입학전형요소를 중심으로 -

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the academic achievement of the first year medical students at Gachon University of Medicine and Science based on their characteristics (i.e. age, gender, and academic degree types (bachelors/masters), field of major (biology/ non-biology), and admission variables (i.e. MEET, GPA, attitude, interview, and English test). Methods: The admission scores and demographic information were obtained from 39 students who had entered the university in 2005. T-test was used to examine the differences in academic achievement according to the students characteristics. Correlations between admission variables and academic achievements were examined while multiple regression analysis was used to decipher the influence of students characteristics and admission variables on the academic achievements. Results: This study showed that the academic achievements differed significantly depending on degree level, age, and field of study, but not gender. It was also found that both the Nature Science Reasoning (NSR) of MEET subscale score and GPA score correlated significantly with academic achievement in the first year students. Attitude, interview, and English test scores did not correlate significantly. The result of the multiple regression analysis revealed that NSR 1 and 2, field of major, and age accounted for a substantial amount of the variance in academic achievement. Conclusion: Students with higher scores in NSR 1 and 2 who majored in biology-related fieldsand who are younger tend to do better academically in their first year of medical school. The results of this study may be helpful to graduate medical schools in designing effective admissions strategies for recruiting students, as well as, in planning the curriculum to improve the academic achievements of medical students.
