The practical studies on the method of particle contamination control for yield enhancement in the cleanroom were carried out. The method of the contamination control was proposed, which are composed of data collection, data analysis, improvement action, verification, and implement control. The partition check method for data collection and data analysis was used in the cellular phone module production lines. And this method was evaluated by the variation of yield loss between before and after improvement action. In case that the partition check method was applied, the critical process step was selected and yield loss reduction through improvement actions was observed. From these results, it is concluded that the partition check method is effective solution for particle contamination control in the cleanroom production lines.

Parameter analysis has been performed for a direct powder rolling process. The processing variables including roll gap, roll speed, average powder size and friction coefficient at roll interface were investigated by means of the analysis of relative densities in strips during the deformation. Pure titanium powders having 15 and 60㎛ were used as initial material. In order to determine the effect of processing variables on material behavior, a micro-mechanics based statistical model was implemented into the commercial ABAQUS software. As shown in the results, the optimized roll gap, and friction coefficient were determined to be 0.4 ㎜, and 0.5, respectively. In addition, the order of priority among the variables was defined as follows: roll gap, coefficient of friction, powder size and roll speed.

This paper presents an experimental study of deep-drawing and rubber-pad forming process using titanium alloy sheet. The process and results of the work carried out ot investigate the capability of the process and to optimize th process parameters to ensure a sound forming. Room and high temperature tensile tests were carried out at various process conditions and microstructural evaluation was investigated. The experimental investigation was done using 150 ton hydraulic press to produce a deep-drawn part. Both graphite lubricant and polyethylene sheet were essential for defect-free product. Regarding the rubber-pad forming, reasonable formability was obtained only for pure-Ti not for Ti-6Al-4V.
