본 시험은 초지조성시와 관리시에 시용하는 인산질 비료의 시용이 초지식생, 목초 및 토양의 무기물함량에 미치는 영향을 구명코자 무시용구의 3처리를 난괴법 3반복으로 포장 배치하여 1989년 9월부터 1991년 10월까지 수원 근교에서 수행되었던 바, 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 인산질 비료 무시용구의 식생은 불량하였으며 인산시용에 의해서 두과 목초의 비율이 증가되었는데 특히 초지관리시의 인산효과가 현저하였다. 2. 목초의 무기물 함량중 질소, 인, 칼슘, 마그네슘 등은 인산 시용구에서 증가되었고 K/Ca+Mg 당량비는 낮아졌으나, K 및 Ca/P는 일정한 경향을 보이지 않았다. 3. 인산 시용에 의해 표토(0∼10cm)의 유효인산함량. Ca및 Mg의 치환용량은 현저히 증가되었으나 칼륨은 일정한 경향이 없었다. 4. 산지 초지조성 및 관리시에 인산질 비료의 시용은 필수적이며 특히 초지관리시의 지속적인 시용은 조성시의 무시용을 거의 보완할 수 있었다. With a purpose of finding out the effects of phosphatic fertilizer application at the grassland establishment and management on the botanical composition, mineral content of grasses and the chemical properties of soil. a field experiment was arranged with four treatments as a randomized complete block design and lasted from September, 1989 to October, 1991 in hilly area near Suweon. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The botanical composition of grassland that phosphatic fertilizer was not applied was poor and the rate of legumes was increased with phosphatic fertilizer application and the effect of phosphatic fertilizer applications was obvious at the grassland management. 2. The mineral contents, N. P, Ca, Mg of grasses were increased with phosphatic fertilizer application but the K/Ca+Mg equivalent ratio of grasses was lowered and K content and Ca/P ratio tended not to be regular. 3. The available phosphorus contents and exchangable cation, Ca, Mg, contents of grassland soil were increased with phosphatic fertilizer applications but potasium contents tended not to be regular. 4. It was necessary to apply phosphatic fertilizer for the establishment and management of grassland. The botanical composition of grassland that phosphatic fertilizer was not applied at the establishment could be corrected into good stand with continuous phosphatic fertilizer applications at the management.

With a purpose of finding out the influences of phosphorus/potassium-fertilization and its residual effects on fodder value and botanical composition of the oversown and of the natural grassland, this trial was conducted on a Carex ferruginea dominated slope land with a northern exposure near Tegernsee at the Bavarian Alps in the southern part of Germany. The fodder value of the oversown and of the natural grassland was greatly increased by PK-fertilization. The species of sedges and native grasses almost disappeared due to fertilization, on the other hand grasses and legumes increased distinctly. By residual effects of PK-fertilization under sheep grazing the fodder value was mush more increased and the botanical composition was much better maintained for 5 years after the end of the experiment.

To find out the effects of silicate fertilizer application on in-vitro digestibility and nutrient productivity of grasses on the pasture mixtures, the experiment was treated with two same levels of lime and silicate fertilizer (2,000 and 4,000 ㎏/㏊) and lasted on newly developed hilly area near Suweon from August, 1984 to October, 1986. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. Crude protein content of grasses with silicate fertilizer application was a little higher than those of lime and control plots, but crude fiber content was reverse trend. 2. Average in-vitro dry matter digestibility with lime application was slightly increased than that of silicate fertilization, however, the in-vitro organic matter digestibility was the highest at silicate fertilizer plot with insignificance in all treatments 3. Average energy productions with silicate fertilization were much more increased by 20-28% and 29-32% per ha than those of without lime/silicate fertilizer and with lime application, respectively. 4. Mineral contents and K/(Ca + Mg) equivalent ratio of grasses at silicate fertilizer plot were slightly increased among the treatments. However, considering the factors of occuring grass tetany and nutrient balance of animals, application of silicate fertilizer on the grassland was desirable.

With a purpose of finding out the effects of silicate fertilizer application on the growth, dry matter yield and vegetation of grasses, the experiment was treated with two same levels of lime and silicate fertilizer (2,000 and 4,000 ㎏/㏊) and. lasted on newly developed hilly area near Suweon from August, 1984 to October, 1986. The results obtained are summarized as follows: 1. The plant length, emergence, winter hardiness, covered area and growth vigour of grasses with silicate fertilizer application were better than those of lime and control plots. 2. Average dry matter yield for two years with silicate fertilization (2,000 ㎏/㏊) was much more increased by 23 and 30% than those of without lime/silicate fertilizer and with lime application plot (2,000 ㎏/㏊), respectively. 3. On the hilly pasture, vegetation rate of ladino clover was a little more high at the plot with lime than that of silicate fertilizer application.

With a purpose of finding out the influences of phosphorus/potassium-fertilization and its residual effects on life form and ecological behaviour of the oversown and of the natural grassland, this trial was conducted on a Carex ferruginea dominated slope land with a nothern exposure near Tegernsee at the Bavarian Alps in the southern part of Germany. The life form of plant community at the experimental area was dominated with Hemicryptophytes. By PK-fertilization Chamaephytes and Hemicryptophytes were much more increased and Geophytes decreased greatly on the oversown and on the natural grassland. The ecological behaviours of moisture figure and nitrogen figure were slightly increased and reaction figure gradually decreased on the plots with fertilization. By the fertilization the natural vegetation was successived into the most desirable plant community of Alchemillo-Cynosuretum in the mountainous grassland gradually. The life forms and ecological behaviours were much better maintained for 3-5 years after the end of the experiment by the residual effects of PK-fertilization under sheep grazing.

This experiment was conducted to find out the influences of different patterns of nitrogen and potassium distribution and its residual effects on dry matter and nutrient productivity in a mixturey grassland established at the Livestock Experiment Station in Suweon The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The residual effect of nitrogen and potassium fertilization in spring season was relatively higher than those in summer. 2. The residual effect on dry matter and nutrient productivity persisted for 3-6 months after fertilization. 3. It was desirable for nitrogen and potassium fertilizers to be dressed heavily in spring and at less than 0% in midsummer.
