Heavy skiing at the late winter often injures the vegetation cover and even the top soil of the course. A fast recovery during the vegetation period is necessary in order to avoid further damages. Therefore, this trial was investigated to find out the influence of PK- and NPK - fertilization on the vegetation of a steep skiing course at the Bavarian Alps in the southern part of Germany during the period from 1981 to 1983. 1. The regeneration of the living plants cover was clearly improved by fertilization. The mean percentage of vegetation cover with PK - fertilization was a little higher than that of NPK-application. However, the regeneration of the grass cover with NPK-fertilization was much more rapid than that of PK-fertilization on the skiing eroded plots. 2. Vegetational succession on the skiing eroded plots was much more influenced by the NPK-application than PK-fertilization. As the species of Agrostis tennis, Dactylis glomerata and Trifolium repens were strong the absorptive ability of nutritive substance, they increased by the fertilization distinctly. On the other hand the plant species of Carer ferruginea, Carex flacca, Milium effusum, Melica nutans and Mercurialis perennis decreased due to PK-and NPK-fertilization gradually. 3. The fodder value of the vegetations on the eroded plots was greatly increased by NPK-fertilization, furthermore those highly evaluated grasslands due to change of positive direction in botanical composition.

This experiment was conducted to find out the influences of different patterns of nitrogen and potassium distribution and its residual effects on dry matter and nutrient productivity in a mixturey grassland established at the Livestock Experiment Station in Suweon The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1. The residual effect of nitrogen and potassium fertilization in spring season was relatively higher than those in summer. 2. The residual effect on dry matter and nutrient productivity persisted for 3-6 months after fertilization. 3. It was desirable for nitrogen and potassium fertilizers to be dressed heavily in spring and at less than 0% in midsummer.

Field experiment was conducted to test the adaptability and forage yield of introduced oats varieties for soiling crops rotation. The results are summarized as follows: 1. Jeonjin and Cravache of the tested varieties have been identified as early varieties. Their heading date were 30th of May. 2. Taepung, Forage queen and Foothill with 130㎝ in plant height were the tallest varieties. Early varieties belong generally under short plant category. 3. Taepung and Forage queen with more than 1,000 ㎏ per 10a in dry matter yield are excellent. 4. There were significantly positive correlation between dry matter yield and some characteristics such as plant height, stem diameter and leaf weight. 5. Cayuse and Jeonjin of the tested varieties have been considered as good varieties for cropping system on upland because of excellent yield potentiality and earliness.

본 연구는 답리작에서 사일리지용 보리 우량품종 선발을 위해 경기 수원(축산연)에서 1999~2001년까지 3년간 생육단계별로 사료가치 및 TDN 수량 등을 조사하였다. 총체보리의 유숙기 때의 ADF 함량은 27.3~29.1% 이었고 황숙기의 경우 27.4~30.4%이었다. 또한 유숙기와 황숙기 때의 NDF 합량은 50.6~55.9% 그리고 53.I~60.6. 유숙기와 황숙기의 TDN 함량은 65.4~67.4% 그리고 64.3~67.7%이었다. 또한 ha 당 TDN 수량은 유숙기 때 4,120~5,528kg, 황숙기 때 5,674~6,569kg 이었다. 그리고 소화율은 유숙기 65.8~74.6% 이었고 황숙기 때 64.6~73.9% 이었다. 본 시험에서 수량 및 사료가치를 고려하여 수원지역에서는 총체용 보리 우량 품종은 알 보리이며, 작부체계에 있어서 황숙기 때 수확하는 것이 유리하다.
