The thermal devices has became smaller and the performance has increased in the related industry, which induces a high heat density damaging the devices. Many technologies have been developed in order to remove the heat. The oscillating heat pipe(OHP) is the one of the cooling devices. The OHP is operated by the mechanism of vaporization and condensation. In this study the effect of fill ratio in the 3 dimensional arranged oscillating heat pipe is tested at the power of 50W and 260W. The result shows that the fill ratio of 19% is the best for the low and high power supplies.
에탄올 혼합율이 가솔린 엔진의 배기와 성능에 미치는 영향

Rapid growth of automobile industry has become a major reason for energy consumption and environmental pollution around a large city seriously.<br/> Saving energy greatly effects on the countries that do not have energy sources, so saving energy and varying energy source are demanded.<br/> In this study, the effect of ethanol mixing rate on exhaust emissions, fuel consumption rate and engine torque is tested in a gasoline engine without any retrofit Mixing rate is varied from 0% to 85% and engine speed and torque are also varied. The result show ethanol mixing rate of 10 to 15% is considered as a suitable range in order to use the fuel without any retrofit Maximum torque is decreased with mixing rate increase, but the torque shows similar value is the range of 10 to 15% The values of CO, HC emission and fuel consumption are similar or slightly increased except the range of 10 to 15%.

A premixed-compression-ignition engine has been studied to improve the performances on efficiency and exhaust emissions. However those systems have been in some difficulties for controlling combustion. This study introduces the system having a radical injector placed on the center of the cylinder head and investigates the combustion behavior in a main chamber with equivalence ratio variation.<br/>

The objective of this study is to establish geometric guidelines for design of impaction parts prepared for removing undesirable effects of fuel deposition on a wall in small direct-injection diesel engines. In order to get the guidelines a new wall geometry is introduced and assessed, which has a flat top and a slant edge. The size of the flat top and the angle of the slant edge are varied and tested in same chamber condition, then their effects on spray dispersions and drop sizes are discussed. The results show that the case of 3.0mm flat top and $60^{\circ}$ edge angle gives the best spray characteristics for a small combustion chamber in the test conditions chosen in this paper.

Many research works for improving a boundary lubrication performance have been executed by using solid lubricants, and been tried to apply an engine lubrication. However those general lubricants have not been applied on engines due to the extreme conditions such as very high temperature and pressure by combustion process in a cylinder. In this study a copper alloy nano-powder is applied on a diesel engine, which is worked by a motor, not by combustion in cylinder. Motor driven torque and shaft vibration are measured, then an engine friction loss and rotating stability are assessed.
