몽골은 1990년부터 다양한 형태의 재산 소유권을 허용하는 민주주의 및 시장경제 체제로 전환하였다. 이에 따라 몽골은 통계청을 중심으로 하는 집중형 통계제도를 골격으로 하는 통계작성 체계를 세워가고 있다. 몽골의 가축센서스는 매년 주기로 작성되는데 비용이나 통계품질 측면에서 이는 바람직하지 못하다. 본 연구의 목적은 몽골의 가축센서스를 표본조사로 대치하기 위한 합리적인 표본설계 방안을 제시하는 데 있다. 몽골 통계청에서도 매년 가축센서스에 드는 비용의 부담과 조사의 정확성에 대한 의구심으로 인해 표본조사로 전환하는 것을 심도 있게 고려하고 있기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 몽골의 투브(Tuv) 아이막(Aimag)을 모집단으로 한 표본설계 방법을 제안한다. As the Mongolia government adopted democracy and market economy that allows private ownerships of various assets since 1990, they started to build central statistical system initiated by the Mongolia bureau of statistics. The livestock census has been conducted annually but showed some problems in terms of cost and quality. So the purpose of our study is to provide a reasonable sampling design to replace the annual livestock census of Mongolia because the Mongolia bureau of statistics has been considering seriously the option of sampling survey due to growing concern of cost and accuracy of the census. In this vein our study propose a sampling design method based on the population of the Tuv Aimag region of Mongolia.
