By the sudden increase of using a boiler, environmental problem is now becoming a international issue and so our government intensify the environmental rules. Now, we must prepare the change of international circumstance and develop a emission control technique for improvement of our atmosphere quality. in this study, we make a 800ppm SO₂ gas which is exusted by real boiler, and execute a series of FGD tests. As a result of this study it is concluded that an optimum desulfurization ratio depend on such as humidity, temperaure and flow quantity.

This paper describes briefly the effect of ultrasonic fuel atomization device on the performance of four stroke gasoline engine. Experiments were carried out to clarify the effect of this device on the performance factors(engine output, travelling fuel consumption, exhaust emissions). By attaching the device to the conventional intake manifold of the gasoline engine, all the performance factors were improved.

A shock tube technique was developed in which a freely falling droplets column produced by an ultrasonic atomizer was ignited behind reflected shock.<br/> In the present study, the effects of turbulent mixing on the ignition delay of a cetane was decided, also, ignition process was investigated. For the purpose of disturbance of droplets column and mixing, authors installed turbulent lattice in shock tube.<br/> Usually, the ignition delay is so called Arrhenius plot which found break point in the Arrhenius plot on the high temperature side. The rate of misfiring increased rapidly below lO80K, but ignition took place from 838k and luminous flame was seen to spread over the whole section by turbulent lattice.<br/> Length, from end plate to turbulent lattice, was varied with 60,40,20mm.<br/> Also, ignition process was detected by Photo transistor. As a result, it was found that physical factors changed ignition delay greatly and turbulent mixing had a considerable effects in the ignition process.

In this experiment, we used the collisional spray and the ultrasonic energy adding system to minimize the droplets. So we obtained the small droplets by the collisional effect and the ultrasonic energy effect. To obtain the collisional droplets, we used the intake valve. The ultrasonic energy fuel system is composed the step-type horn coupled the inner bolted Langevin type transducer and the gasoline injector. We measured the droplets(SMD) around the model intake valve using the Malvern 2600D system with a variation of the injection pressure and test position.<br/>
