Acoustic thermography uses the physical property that changes the speed of sound by a medium temperature. The speed of sound is measured by geometric information of measurement space, a position of speakers & microphones and sound propagation delay. The important point is that the number of speakers and microphones are physically limited. Thus, every time delay in a path must be measured precisely. The well-known measurement method of time delay is General Cross Correlation(GCC) method that is completely dependent on the sampling frequency. In this study, we suggest Time Delay Spectrometry(TDS) for measuring time delay.

By using a loudspeaker array and the regional focusing, personal audio system has been studied. This research concentrates on the sound field control results that changed by the objective functions at the bright zone. Two kinds of the bright zone objective functions are considered: controlling the average response of bright zone points, and controlling all bright zone points. First objective function accompanies better contrast. On the other hand, second objective function accompanies better accuracy of sound reproduction. As a result, two objective functions should be used properly for the purpose. Finally, by using these characteristics, weighted sum method is introduced. Numerical analysis was used for analysis and validation.
