병렬볼륨렌더링을 위한 리눅스 클러스터 기반 병렬화일시스템

볼륨 렌더링(Volume Rendering)은 과학, 의학, 공학 등의 분야에서 3차원 볼륨 데이터(Volume Data)를 효과적으로 시각화(Visualization)하는 목적으로 널리 사용되고 있으며 고화질 영상 요구로 인해 3차원 볼륨 데이터의 크기는 점차 대용량화되어 가는 추세이다. 이러한 대용량 데이터의 고성능처리를 위해서는 병렬입출력이 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 병렬볼륨 렌더링에 최적화된 병렬화일시스템 PBS(Parallel Block Server)을 제안한다. PBS는 고성능 입출력 제공을 위해서 데이터입출력에 대한 응용 프로그램의 직접 통제를 위한 다양한 기능을 제공하도록 설계되어 있다. 이러한 직접 통제의 단점인 복잡한 인터페이스 문제를 해결하기 위해서 볼륨 렌더링에 최적화된 데이터 입출력 전략을 자동회시킨 PBS 기반 라이브러리 VRPIO(Volume Rendering Parallel Input Output)를 제공한다.
전통간장으로부터 분리한 Cladosporium sp.과 Sterigmatomyces sp. 미생물의 동정 및 NaCl 농도에 따른 미생물 효소활성 분석

전통방식으로 숙성되고 있는 한식간장의 표면으로부터 분리된 바위꽃과 메밀꽃이라 불리는 미생물을 18S rDNA ITS1과 ITS4 지역의 염기서열를 분석한 결과, 각각 Cladosporium 종들과 S. halophilus의 염기서열과 높은 상동성을 보였다. 이에 따라 바위꽃 미생물은 Cladosporium sp. NK1로, 메밀꽃 미생물은 S. halophilus NK2로 명명하였다. YPD 액체 배지를 이용한 최적 생장 pH와 온도에 있어서 Cladosporium sp. NK1은 각각 pH 6과 22-27℃였고, S. halophilus NK2는 각각 pH 5-7과 22℃였다. Cladosporium sp. NK1는 NaCl를 첨가하지 않은 YPD 액체배지에서 가장 잘 생장하였으나, protease 및 amylase 효소활성에 있어서는 각각 10%와 15% NaCl이 첨가된 YPD 배양액 시료에서 가장 높았다. S. halophilus NK2는 10% NaCl이 첨가된 YPD 액체배지까지 매우 잘 생장하였으며, protease 활성은 10% NaCl이 첨가된 YPD 배양액 시료에서, amylase 활성은 5% NaCl이 첨가된 배양액 시료에서 가장 높았다. Cladosporium sp. NK1과 S. halophilus NK2의 lipase 활성은 보이지 않았다. 간장의 관능평가 결과 Cladosporium sp. NK1 균주는 간장의 맛에서, S. halophilus NK2 는 향미에서 유의적 차이를 보였다. Two strains, traditionally referred to as rock flower (Bawhi-kot) and buckwheat flower (Memil-kot or Chile-Kot), were isolated from stored traditional soy sauce and were identified by using the 18S ITS1/4 region sequences. The rock flower strain showed 99% of similarity with Cladosporium sp. and buckwheat flower strain was 99% identical with yeast Sterigmatomyces halophilus. Both strains were tentatively named Cladosporium sp. NK1 and Sterigmatomyces halophilus NK2, respectively. The optimal growth pHs and temperatures of both strains in a YPD broth medium were in the range of pH 5.0 to 7.0 and 22 to 27℃. Both strains were able to grow in more than 20% of NaCl. In the enzyme activity assay, high protease activity of Cladosporium sp. NK1 and S. halophilus NK2 were obtained in YPD containing 10% of NaCl. High amylase activities of both stains were in 15% and 5% of NaCl, respectively. Lipase activity was, however, not detected in both strains.

T-lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma is an aggressive condition with frequent involvement of the mediastinum, occurring most frequently in older children, adolescents, and young adults. The involvement of extranodal sites is less common, and abdominal dissemination is unusual, but when present it primarily involves the liver and spleen. However, primary lymphoma of the adrenal glands is rare. The majority of reported cases presented with a B-cell immunophenotype. Herein, we report the case of a patient with T-lymphoblastic leukemia/lymphoma who presented predominantly with bilateral adrenal masses without lymphadenopathy, and whose clinical course deteriorated rapidly. The acceptance test of KTX has been performed in Korea. During the test, lateral vibration of carbody over the accepted value called sway was found. KTX has 20 car trainset formation whose trailer cars are linked by articulate bogies. So this study is performed to see the effects of long trainset formation on vehicle dynamics and the train stability by 20 car vehicle model. Firstly the reliable vehicle model which shows well the tendencies appeared in the tests on the high speed test line is required to find the cause of lateral vibration and the countermeasure. Vehicle model was made for the analysis with VAMPIRE. The analysis results show that secondary air spring lateral stiffness is the most significant parameter to cause carbody lateral vibration. Mode analysis results show that the least damped mode shape is similar to the vibration pattern shown in the tests that the amplitude of the motion increases along the train set and decreases in the tail part. For the case of short train formation with 7 or 10cars, sway does not happen. But in the case of longer train formation with 16 or 20 cars, sway was found.

Q fever is a zoonotic infection caused by Coxiella burnetti, which has been previously regarded as an uncommon infectious disease in Korea but is sporadically reported recently. Common manifestations of acute Q fever usually present as influenza-like illness, pneumonia and occasionally hepatitis. Herein, we report 4 cases of acute Q fever as a cause of acute hepatitis and fever. All patients had fever and non-specific symptoms, and laboratory test showed acute hepatitis. Antibody surveys for many virus infections and bacterial cultures were negative. Finally, they were diagnosed acute Q fever by an indirect microimmunofluorescence test. Liver biopsy in 3 patients revealed granuloma including one with typical fibrin-ring. All patients had complete resolution of symptoms and signs with doxycycline treatment. Q fever should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients with fever of unknown origin with acute hepatitis in Korea. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2011;57:189-193)

Intravascular leiomyomatosis is a rare entity of benign smooth muscle tumor invading into the lumen of veins. Although these tumors are histologically benign they sometimes extend into the cardiac cavity and can cause sudden death due to their incarceration into the artrioventricular orifice. We present a case of the intravascular leiomyomatosis originating from huge leiomyoma in the pelvic cavity and extending to the ovarian veins, the inferior vena cava, the right atrium, the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery. She underwent surgery by a single-stage o including laparotomy and venotomy without thoracotomy, and the tumor was successfully removed. Therefore, we report this case with a brief review of the literature.
