The purpose of this study is to determination the optimum operating parameter(electric current, electrolyte type, electrolyte concentration, air flow rate, initial concentration of phenol)for degradation of phenol using electrochemical process. Analysis of non-biodegradable organic compounds was done by UV254 absorbance. The amount of phenol concentration was more decreased when the electric current amount, electrolyte concentration was increased. Nacl was found the most effective electrolyte for decreasing phenol concentration. However, air flow rate had no effect on the decreasing phenol concentration. The initial reaction rate was almost constant even though the phenol concentration was varied. Phenol and non-biodegradable were compared with degradation of time by COD measurement. The degradation of time was found long COD than phenol. The degradation time of phenol was required to remove intermediate, which was generated by decomposing phenol.
