This paper introduces a method of estimating the knee joint moment developed during MVC. By combining the Hill-type muscle model and analytic results on moment arm and musculotendon length change as a function of hip and knee joint angle, the knee joint moment at a specific knee joint angle during MVC is determined. Many differences between the estimated results and the experimental data are noted. It is believed that these differences originate from inaccurate information on the muscle-tendon parameters. The establishment of exact values for the subject's muscle parameters is almost impossible task. However, sensitivity analysis shows that the tendon slack length is the most critical parameter when applying the Hill-type muscle model. The effect of a change of this parameter on the muscle length force relationship is analyzed in detail.

Heat dissipation technology using flow resonant phenomenon is a kind of new concept in heat transfer area. A vibration exciter is needed to generate air turbulence which has the natural shedding frequency of heat system. A mechanical vibrating device for the air flow oscillation is introduced, which is driven by a moving coil actuator. An analytical dynamic model for this mechanical vibration exciter is presented and its validity is verified by the comparison with experimental data. Values of some unknown system parameters in the analytic model, a high bandwidth vibration phase, it turns out the high modal resonant characteristics of vibrating plate are the major barrier against obtaining a high bandwidth vibration exciter.

풍력터빈이 점차 대형화 되면서 로터 직경도 점차 커지고 있다. 로터 블레이드는 윈드시어와 타워교란 효과로부터 기계적 하중을 받게 된다. 이러한 기계적 하중은 풍력터빈의 수명을 단축시킨다. 따라서, 풍력터빈의 크기가 커짐에 따라 기계적 하중 완화를 위한 풍력터빈 제어 시스템 설계가 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 로터 블레이드의 기계적 하중 저감을 위한 개별 피치 제어에 대해 소개하고 IPC 성능 검증을 위해 시뮬레이션을 통하여 논의한다. As the size of a wind turbine increases, the rotor diameter increases. Rotor blades experience mechanical loads caused by the wind shear and the tower shadow effect. These mechanical loads reduce the life of the wind turbine. Therefore, with increasing size of the wind turbine, wind turbine control system design for the mitigation of mechanical loads is important. In this study, Individual Pitch Control in introduced for reducing the mechanical loads of rotor blades, and a simulation for IPC performance verification is discussed.

An active stick which supplies force feedback to the operator is developed in this study. A mathematical model of the active stick is derived, and compared with the experimental result. It turns out that the frictional torque due to the mechanical contacts of several parts of the stick is one of the major barriers to achieve high precision operation of the stick. The frictional effect of the stick is cancelled out by using a friction observer. The efficacy of the friction observer is verified through the numerical simulation. Because of the observer dynamics, there are some limitations in exact recovering the static friction and Stribeck effect. However, the friction observer follows the real friction on the average. It’s anticipated that the application of the friction observer to the closed loop control of the active stick improves the performance of the displacement versus force characteristics, which will be proved experimentally in the further study.
