Purpose: To analyze the correlation between preoperative characteristics of optical coherence tomography (OCT) image and visual improvement in macular epiretinal membrane (ERM) and to determine whether preoperative difference upon OCT pattern is a prognostic indicator of high postoperative visual acuity. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the records of 99 patients (100 eyes) with ERM, who were treated by vitrectomy and followed for more than four months. We classified the OCT images of preoperative ERM into three different types : flat macula, convex macula, and concave macula. Then we compared the preoperative visual improvement among the three types. Results: The causes of ERM were idiopathic in 59 eyes, diabetic retinopathy in 16 eyes, uveitis in 9 eyes, and retinal vein occlusion in 6 eyes. The types of OCT were flat macula in 30 eyes, convex macula in 62 eyes, and concave macula in 8 eyes. The grades of visual improvement of LogMAR (logarism of minimum angle of resolution) were 0.49, 0.48, and 0.46, respectively. All three groups showed a significant level of visual improvement. In the secondary ERM group, preoperative and postoperative Log MAR of convex macula revealed lower preoperative and postoperative visual acuity than that of the flat and concave macula (P<0.05). There was a higher degree of visual improvement in patients with pseudophakia, but preoperative central macular thickness (CMT) and the presence of internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling were not corrected with visual improvement. Conclusions: This study demonstrated that vitrectomy for epiretinal membrane resulted in favorable visual improvement. There is no correction between preoperative morphologic difference upon OCT and the degree of visual improvement in ERM.
창호 및 벽체의 단열성능에 따른 건물에너지효율등급 평가 연구 : 공동주택을 중심으로

According to the building regulation U-value limitation of window is 3.3W/㎡·K in southern regions, while U-value limitation of wall is 0.35~0.58W/㎡·K. It means that the energy loss through windows is five times more than it through wall. Therefore, this study analyze how much it has affected building energy rating when the insulation performance of windows and walls is changed by building regulation. In conclusion, in order to obtain 2 rating thermal performance of windows is improved more than 10 percent of U-value limitation and it of wall is improved more than 20 percent. The thermal performance of windows is improved more than 20 percent of U-value limitation and it of wall is improved more than 30 percent to receive 1 rating.

As a reasonable energy policy has become required because of consuming substantial amounts of oil than others, the studies on energy consumption are in work for energy savings of buildings that spend up to 24% of total energy consumption. However, there aren't basic data on energy consumption and installation regulations for effective equipments in energy guzzled buildings. The best plan to reduce the building energy consumption is that the insulation performance should be improved because the insulation and airtight of building envelopes have an effect on the energy consumption basically. Thus, we should prepare the alternatives to improve insulation performance of envelopes and the efficiency of insulation performance of the window for reducing energy consumption.

A significant portion of the area occupied by the building envelope to reduce energy loss, and it steadily increased the interest in the field, and against the outer insulation performance in several areas, a variety of techniques have been developed to the elements. The building with the largest portion of the outer windows on the energy loss caused by the many studies conducted, and various windows based products which are being developed. In addition, the current through the insulation performance of windows in winter to prevent energy loss of the interior has been developed for the purpose may have served the growing use of air conditioning in summer, indoor outdoor column of the block would have been a big problem. Thus, a major cause of energy loss of the windows in summer than necessary to block solar radiation Low-E glass is used. In this paper, Low-E glass curtain wall windows applied to simulate the actual experiment, the thermally evaluated.

2011년 8월 4일 「장애아동복지지원법」이 제정됨으로써 그동안 사각지대에 놓여있던 장애아동의 복지환경이 개선될 수 있는 중요한 계기가 만들어졌다. 이 법은 「장애인 등에 대한 특수교 육법」에 이어 장애인부모운동세력이 이룩한 또 하나의 법제정운동의 성과물이며, 개인별지원계의 수립과 사례관리를 포함한 공공의 전달체계를 구축했다는 측면에서 기존의 장애인복지체계에서 진일보한 지원체계를 구축했다. 그러나 복지서비스 대상자와 양의 확대나 발달재활서비스 인력의 자격기준 마련 등 서비스의 질을 개선하는 측면에서 「장애아동복지지원법」은 또한 일정한 한 계를 지니고 있다. 앞으로 시행령과 시행규칙이 바람직하게 제정될 때까지 법제정운동이 지속되어야 하며 부대의견의 조속한 이행을 촉구하는 활동도 전개될 필요가 있다. Enactment of the “Welfare and Child Support Laws for Disabled Children” in August 4th, 2011, have provided an important opportunity to improve welfare environment for disabled children that used to be left in the blind spot. These laws, much like the “Special Education Laws for Disabled and Others,” are yet another legal accomplishment by parent forces for their disabled children and the newly enacted laws are seen as ‘a big step forward’ to establish an enhanced support system for its contribution to establish a chain of public system that both encompasses individual support plans and case management. However, in terms of improving the quality of welfare services such as expanding number of welfare beneficiaries and provided services, establishing qualification standard for persons serving developmental rehabilitation services, etc., the “Welfare and Child Support Laws for Disabled Children” faces certain limitations that need to be overcome. Until the enforcement orders and regulations are correctly enacted, the Law Enactment Movement shall continue, and efforts to expedite enforcement of related matters also need to be put in place, as well.

The present study was designed to evaluate the correlation between osteoporosis and osteoarthritis, based on micro-computed tomography (Micro-CT) and atomic force microscopy (AFM). To induce osteoporosis, virgin Sprague-Dawley rats (6 weeks old) were ovariectomized (OVX). All rats were randomly divided in two groups (normal group: 9, OVX group: 6). Knee joint on each rat was scanned by Micro-CT with 18-μm resolution at 0, 4 and 8 weeks. Morphological characteristics were calculated by Micro-CT image analyzer. Knee joint chondrocytes were isolated and immobilized to investigate morphological and mechanical characteristics on AFM measurements. In the OVX group, morphological characteristics significantly changed at all the femur over time(p<0.05). Comparing OVX group to normal group at 8 weeks, morphological characteristics and stiffness of chondrocytes measured by AFM significantly increased in normal group more than OVX group(p<0.05). The results showed that osteoporosis can cause osteoarthritis. The finding of the present study indicated that AFM can analyze the origin of osteoarthritis. In addition, this study is valuable attempt to find the correlation between osteoporosis and osteoarthritis.

Currently, Exterior wall's U-value about building envelope is 0.29∼0.47W/㎡ K(Central Region), but window's one is 3.3W/㎡K according to air gap of glazing, filling gas, coating and type of windows. The door's one is 1.6∼5.5W/㎡?K depending on material and configuration of door. As such, energy loss per unit of door is considerably larger like windows. The door for the recognition was relatively low because energy loss through the door is relatively small compared to window area. In this paper, thermal performance was analyzed through simulation and experiment the door which has thermal break that can improve the insulation performance and doesn't have one.
