In this work, we propose a low-impedance and highly miniaturized on-chip Wilkinson power divider on MMIC, which was fabricated by a microstrip line structure employing periodically perforated ground metal (PPGM) with single-sided via holes. Using the microstrip line with PPGM, a miniaturized 13 Ω power divider was fabricated. The size of the power divider was 0.110 ㎟, which was 6 % of conventional one.

In this work, using π-type multiple coupled microstrip line structure, we fabricated highly miniaturized Wilkinson power divider. The line length of the power divider was reduced to about 1/20, and its size was 15% of conventional Wilkinson power divider. The novel power divider showed good RF performances in 5.2-7.2㎓.

A new type of compact microstrip line photonic band gap(PBG) structure employing T-type microstrip line for filter is presented. The center frequency of stop-band is at 15㎓. The line length of the filter with PBG cell employing T-type microstrip line was reduced to about 0.59㎜, and its size was 48% of conventional filter with PBG cell. The filter is very compact and much easier for fabrication and realization in MIC and MMIC.

This paper proposed a miniaturization passive element employing the multiple microstrip line. As a result of this method, we realized the transmission line miniaturized. The applying structure designed and evaluated a power divider on GaAS MMIC circuit. It draws a plan in a center Frequency as the observation could do good characteristic.

In this paper, we propose an active 90° phase combiner for application to MMIC. Because of their very large size, conventional passive 90° phase combiners can't be integrated on MMIC. Therefore, highly miniaturized 90° phase combiners are required for a development of highly integrated MMIC. For this reason, active 90° phase combiner is indispensable because active phase combiner is much smaller than conventional passive combiners, and it can be integrated on MMIC. In this work, we developed active 90° phase combiner with emitter parallel inductor, capacitor, and it was employed for the operation of the balanced mixer in order to verify the performance of the active 90° phase combiner. According to the results, it was found that the active 90° phase combiner exhibited good RF performances comparable to conventional passive combiners.
