        Hemorrhagic Transformation of Ischemic Stroke: Severe Complications of Prosthetic Valve Endocarditis

        Ischemic stroke is a common complication of infective endocarditis (IE), occurring in 20-40% of left side IE cases. In these subsets, anticoagulation therapy may provoke hemorrhagic transformation (HT) of ischemic stroke, and complications of this magnitude deteriorate the clinical course for IE patients. However, in cases of IE complicated with a mechanical prosthetic valve, the physician can be concerned over the maintenance of anticoagulation due to the risk of thrombotic complication. According to our retrospective review, HT of ischemic stroke in prosthetic valve endocarditis occurred 13.8% (4/29) of the time in a variety of situations. Some of these even arose in patients with a subtherapeutic range of prothrombin time.

        Public nuisances rise from industrial developments, defects of city planing, deficit investments for the public welfare and technical developments for preventing nuisances, which are being so complicated that they raise social problems. I planed an object of study for the public nuisances of Taejon city which has been reported by citizens- a noise, vibrations, dusts and pollution of drainage in streams around Taejon city. The results were as follows; 1. It was found that noises, dust and vibrations from which various factories come were mostly farmful. public nuisances reported by citizens in 1967 were decreasing when these were with those reported compared nu-isances in 1966. 2. It was not found that floating materials and pH value were farmful. 3. It was found that chlorine-ion concentrations were mostly over a safety point. They were more active in July when human activities were alive then in April. 4. Colon bacteria were found more from residential sections then from factory sections. According to the results we are presenting that the municipal authorities should make a plan for development of pudlic nui-sances and for a co-operative program with academic authorities.

        축구 지도자의 멀티미디어 활용에 대한 우선순위

        The purpose of the study was to identify the recognition and the priority of using the multi-media during the coaching process for soccer coaches. The survey forwarding to 12 exports who has been coaching for more than 10 years has been done for this study. The survey for this study was to identify the priority on the usages of multi-media, the period of feedback, the expectation of using multi-media. The structure of the survey was containing the factors of whether or not the multi-media used, and the needs of usages by Likert 5 points scales. Additionally, the sub-factors were splitted to the purpose of using the multi-media, the required period for feedback in training situation, the required period for feedback in match situation, the multi-media tools, and the expectation after the using the multi-media. and those factors were determined by 9 points scales within the Analytic Hierarchy Process methodology. All data process were considered with the AHP software, called Dress 1.7. The results were following as belows, Firstly, 11 experts among 12 experts have experienced the usages of multi-media during their coaching process. And all experts thought that the utilization of the multi-media was important as same as the coaching tools in the situation of the training and the match. Secondly, The feedback using the multi-media was important after the match rather than other timing of feedback. However, the timing of feedback by the multi-media in before training and after the training were slightly different. Thirdly, the experts were mainly considered the identification of players’ performance than the evaluation and the designing performances. Additionally, using video and computers were mainly considered than the use of mobile devices. Finally, the experts were considered to prepare the materials for next matches with the usage of the multi-media than other reasons.

        초등학교 통합학급에서 교사의 교육적 지원을 통한 자폐아동의 학교생활 변화 연구

        본 연구는 일반아동과 장애아동의 물리적 통합이 실시되고 있는 초등학교 일반 학급에서 사회적, 교육과정 통합이 어떻게 시도되는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 담임교사의 교육적 지원을 통해 초등학교 3학년 남자 자폐아동의 학교생활이 어떻게 변화되어 가는지 탐색하고자 예비관찰과 집중관찰, 면담 등을 활용한 사례연구를 실시하였다. 예비관찰 시기였던 물리적 통합단계에서는 아동은자폐적 특성을 그대로 드러냈지만, 담임교사에 의해 교육적 지원이 제공된 사회적 통합과 교육과정 통합의 단계에서는 자폐아동에게 많은 변화가 나타났다. 담임교사가 자폐아동을 위해 제공한교육적 지원은 생활면과 학업면으로 다양한 프로그램이 제공되었다. 학교생활의 변화과정을 살펴볼 때, 자폐아동의 학습능력이 향상되었고 혼자만의 일방적 상호작용에서 함께 하는 쌍방적 상호작용으로 점차 변화되어갔다. 또한 공격적, 방어적 태도가 줄어들고 협동심과 자립심이 증가하여통합학급 내에서 자폐아동의 학교생활이 긍정적으로 변화되어가는 모습을 보여주었다. 또한 실제적인 통합교육이 되려면 교사의 애정과 관심, 적절한 교육적 개입이 필수적이며, 자폐아동을 둘러싼 관련인과의 협력관계, 자폐아동 및 그 학급아동 간의 쌍방적 상호이해를 위한 시도가 함께 이루어져야 함을 지적하였다. The study was to investigate the changing process of an autistic child's life at school through a qualitative research. A boy who has been diagnosed as an Autism, was selected. In order to get the resources, general observation and in-depth interviews were employed. The results of the study were as follows. First, the changing process of the autistic child's life at school was observed in the stage of physical integration with no educational support. In the stage of physical integration, where the class was integrated for the sake of qualitative integration of the child, there was no educational support offered; the child revealed his autistic tendencies. Second, the educational support was given in the academic aspect. The school subjects were revised and all those efforts were made as the investigator got together with a special teacher to discuss the curriculums at the Curriculum Revisions Council and to revise the curriculum of cooperative learning-based social studies and that of science for the child with autism. Third, there were changes to him both in the academic and behavioral characteristics aspect after the educational support was given. The changes were as follows; in the academic aspect, the negative sides of the child revealed in the early semester gradually disappeared as the educational support was given. Thus, the results showed that his learning abilities increased, his own one-way interactionschanged to the two-way interactions, his aggressive and defensive attitudes decreased, and hiscooperation and autonomy increased. In the integrated class, the autistic child's school life wentthrough very positive changes.

        A Korean Patient with Lattice Corneal Dystrophy Type IV with Leu527Arg Mutation in the TGFBI Gene

        An 87-year-old woman visited our clinic for a scheduled cataract surgery. At the time of preoperativeevaluation, slit lamp examination showed lattice-shaped and granular deposits with asymmetrical patterns inthe stroma of both corneas. Genomic DNA samples of the patient, amplified by polymerase chain reaction,showed a single nucleotide substitution, c. 1580T>G (p.L527R), in the transforming growth factor-β-inducedTGFBI gene. We also found two additional SNP mutations, c.1620T>C (p.F540F) and c.1678+23G>A, alongwith the well-known L527R mutation. This is the first report of lattice corneal dystrophy type IV with anL527R mutation outside of Japan, and could challenge the idea that L527R is caused by a mutation from asingle Japanese ancestor.
