미래 인터넷을 위한 ICT 자원 가상화의 제어 프레임워크

Network virtualization has been concerned as a long term solution for the ossification problem of the Internet. The virtualization is an important technological issue in the Future Internet. Many projects have been carrying out the development of test-bed and research of new service for the Future Internet based on virtualization technology. In this paper, we presented control framework, interfaces and scenarios of ICT-integrated resource virtualization for the Future Internet. Adopting our proposed control framework and interfaces, we built up the virtualization platform of the Future Internet to manage integrated resources in ICT environment, and checked out the realization of slice generation comprised of virtual networks and virtual servers for the experimentation-centric research of the Future Internet.

Next generation network consists of multilayer architecture in which GMPLS is used to control Ethernet or IP over optical network in an overlaid or integrated mode. It is essential to deploy coordinated recovery scheme among several layers for self-healing in multilayer network. Through root-cause analysis of failures, we can reduce recovery completion time of existing hold-off time based recovery scheme. This paper proposes bottom-up recovery scheme and scenario based on root-cause analysis to minimize recover completion time in multilayer network. To realize policy based management, we define policy rules for bottom-up multilayer network recovery scheme in XML schema following IETF PCIM model.

기존 인터넷의 경직화 문제를 위한 장기적인 해결책으로 가상화 기술이 각광받고 있다. 많은 기관에서 가상화 기반의 미래 인터넷 테스트-베드와 연구 프로젝트들을 진행하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 ICT(Information and Communications Technology) 환경에서의 통합 자원을 관리하는 미래 인터넷의 가상화 플랫폼을 구축하였으며, 실험-중심 연구를 위하여 가상네트워크와 가상서버로 구성되는 슬라이스 생성의 실현성을 확인하였다. In this paper, we built up virtualization platform managing integrated resources in ICT environment and checked out the feasibility of slice consisting of virtual network and virtual server for experiment-centric research.
