As the limitation of the existing convergence is pointed out, technology-humanities convergence which highlights the enhancement of the quality of life of humans, is focused as a solution to facilitate sustainable technological innovation. Technology-humanities convergence has already occurred in various industries, of which a considerable number of successful cases can be noted. However, few efforts have been made to investigate technology-humanities convergence as an independent academic field. Therefore, this paper aimed to identify the status of technology-humanities convergence. To do this, first, a definition of technology-humanities convergence was proposed. Second, based on Maslow’s theory, the types of human needs and related key words were extracted. Third, patents related to human needs were collected from the United States Patent and Trademark Office (2000~2014). Fourth and last, the status of technology-humanities convergence was analyzed in terms of “convergence trends” and “convergence areas.” This research is expected to promote more creative and human-centered performances of innovation as well as to support decision-making when the innovation strategy-as attempted by the quantitative analysis of technology-humanities convergence in the perspective of sustainable competitiveness-is established.

As the convergence among technologies is reorganizing industry sectors, it is quite important to evaluate the probability of technological convergence, and to analyze how the technologies in a certain industry sector affect the same or other industry sectors. As a result, the large number of studies have been focused on the industry convergence. However, most of them have dealt mainly with case studies or strategy and policies and few efforts have been made to study it using quantitative data. The investigation of industry convergence using quantitative data will help understand the characteristics of industry and forecast the future of the industry from an objective point of view. Therefore, this research proposes a methodology to evaluate the possibilities of industry convergence using patent data. In particular, we emphasize the possibilities of technology convergence and suggest a technology relationship matrix to evaluate the technology convergence, as an antecedent of industry convergence. The feasibility and utility of the suggested methodology was verified with a case study on the convergence of IT and BT. The research results are expected to provide a useful guideline for developing a measure of convergence.
군사격장 오염토양 내 고농도 중금속함유 입자의 기초특성연구

민간 및 군용사격장은 납, 구리 등의 중금속으로 오염되어 있어 복원이 필요한 경우가 많다. 산세척 또는 용출제를 이용한 용출이 흔히 사용되는 복원공법이다. 사격장 오염토양을 채취하여 오염특성 및 고비중 입자의 기여율을 조사하기 위한 기초연구를 수행하였다. 사격장 오염토양은 중금속, 특히 납으로 오염되어 있었으며, Ethylenediamine Tetra Acetic Acid(EDTA)를 이용한 5회 반복추출에도 환경기준치 이상의 오염이 토양시료에 남아 있었다. 이는 토양시료에 계속적으로 오염을 유출하는 입자가 존재하거나 오염제거가 매우 어려운 상태로 오염이 존재한다는 것을 의미한다. 토양시료에 포함된 색을 띠는 특이입자를 분리하여 분석한 결과 이들 입자는 비중이 2.5-6.6이고, 납과 EDTA의 결합율이 4.9-32%로 탄두 및 탄피가 잘게 부서진 입자로 판단되었다. 이들 입자를 제거한 토양은 오염도가 제거하기 전 토양에 비하여 낮으며, 용출 등의 기술로 쉽게 오염이 제거될 수 있음을 보여주었다. 이러한 결과는 연속추출 및 TCLP 등의 연구에서 증명되었다. Civil and military firing ranges are usually contaminated with heavy metals such as lead and copper and remediation is required. Acid washing and extraction are common remediation methods. Lead contaminated firing range soil samples were collected and a preliminary study was conducted to evaluate the characteristics of the contamination and the contribution of high specific gravity particles. Ethylenediamine tetra acetic acid(EDTA) extraction was applied for the removal of heavy metal but the extraction was not feasible for the firing range soil. Even after the repeated EDTA extraction, the contamination were still over the Korean environmental standard indicating that soil particles highly contaminated with heavy metal which release the heavy metal ion even after the repeated extraction. Some colored and higher specific gravity particles were separated from the soil samples and analyzed. The colored particles have specific gravity of 2.5-6.6. The saturation ratio of Pb and EDTA was 4.9-32%. After removal of these colored particles, the sandy soil showed moderate contamination which can be treated with soil washing. This was proved with the five-level sequential extraction and TCLP tests.

This paper analyzed the degree of perception and performance of technology-humanities convergence in Korean SMEs. First, the meaning and activities of technology-humanities convergence were defined. Second, a survey data was collected from 277 Korean SMEs and analyzed from two perspectives-degree of performance and degree of perceived importance. Finally, based on the results, this paper signposted the important points to activate the technology-humanities convergence in SMEs.

이 연구는 초등학교 수학교육에서 능력기반 교수학습 환경이 학습자의 수학적 사고력 및 수학적 태도에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 먼저 초등 수학교육에 적용할 수 있는 능력기반 교수학습 모형을 설계하고, 학습관리시스템을 활용한 능력기반 교수학습 환경(a competency-based learning environment)을 구축하였다. 그리고 효과를 분석하기 위해 경기도 소재 초등학교 6학년 학급 중 사전 동질성이 확보된 두 집단을 선정하여 실험을 진행하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 집단 간 수학적 사고력에 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 있었다. 특히 수학적 사고력의 하위영역인 추론 영역과 문제해결 영역에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 둘째, 집단 간 수학적 태도에서도 통계학적으로 유의한 차이가 있었고, 수학적 태도의 하위영역인 수학학습에 대한 자아개념, 태도, 학습습관 모두에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 이상에서 볼 때, 초등수학교육의 능력기반 교수학습 환경은 학습자의 수학적 사고력과 수학적 태도 향상에 효과적이라고 할 수 있다. 이는 초등 수학교육 현장에서는 학습자가 학습 내용을 다양한 형태의 자료로 학습하고 수학적 사고력과 수학적 태도를 향상할 수 있는 교수학습 기제를 제공하여 실질적인 수학적 능력을 형성할 수 있는 교수학습 환경을 구축하는 것이 중요하다는 점을 시사한다. 후속 연구와 관련하여서는 다양한 학습내용과 대상을 위한 능력기반 교수학습 환경의 구체적인 학습 자료의 개발과 이를 토대로 한 다각적인 연구가 요청된다. This study analyzed the effect of a competency-based learning environment for elementary school mathematics instruction in terms of improving mathematical thinking abilities and attitudes toward elementary mathematics. First, the study analyzed the problems of the education field through analysis of the 2015 elementary mathematics curriculum and identified the causes thereof. As a solution, the study proposed a model of learner-centered learning environment. Second, the competency-based learning environment that can be applied to elementary school mathematics instruction by using inductive reasoning and learning management system was designed. Third, the study selected two homogeneous groups at the outset out of the 6th grade classes at an elementary school located in Gyeonggido and experimented with them. As a result, first, a statistically significant difference was observed on the mathematical thinking ability between the experimental group that utilized the competency-based learning environment and the control group that did not. The difference, in particular, was in the area of reasoning area and problem-solving area. Second, there was a statistically significant difference in the mathematical attitudes between the groups. The difference thereof was in all the areas of the self-concept, attitude, and learning habits in mathematics learning. Based on the results, competency-based learning environments for mathematics instruction in elementary schools can be said to have some effects on improving learners’ mathematical thinking abilities and attitudes.
