객체 - 관계형 데이타베이스 기반의 XML 문서 저장 기법

XML이 인터넷의 표준언어로 자리잡고 있음에 따라 XML을 중심으로 한 많은 데이타 관리 기술이 개발되고 있다. 특히 XML 문서를 저장하는 방식에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있는데, 이러한 기존 저장 기법들에 대해 동일한 기준으로 성능을 평가하여 효율적인 저장 기법을 제안하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 객체-관계형 데이타베이스 모델을 이용해 XML 문서를 효율적으로 저장할 수 있는 새로운 저장 기법을 제안한다. 그리고 저장 기법들에 대한 성능 평가를 통해, 제안된 저장 기법을 효과적인 저장 기법으로 제시한다. 본 논문의 의의는 기존의 데이타 관리 모델을 사용하여 XML 문서를 보다 쉽게 효율적으로 저장할 수 있는 저장 기법을 제안하였으며, 동일한 기준을 사용한 성능 평가를 통해 XML 문서의 저장 기법들에 대한 성능을 평가하였다는 점이다. As XML has been proposed a standard format for organizing and exchanging data in the internet, many applications on managing XML data have been developed. Especially, there are many studies for storing XML documents. It is important to evaluate the performance for efficient storage techniques. In this work, we suggest an efficient technique for storing XML documents using an object-relational database model. We verify the efficiency of a new storage technique through the performance evaluation on XML storage techniques. The contributions of this paper is that we suggest an efficient storage technique using an existing data management model and evaluate the performance for storage techniques for XML documents including an new storage technique.
공과대학생의 학습양식에 따른 의사소통 불안인식 분석 연구

본 연구의 목적은 공과대학생의 학습양식 유형을 분석하고, 학습양식에 따른 의사소통 불안 수준의 차이를 검증하는 것이 다. K대학교에 재학 중인 공과대학 1학년생 405명을 대상으로 학습양식을 분석한 결과, 감각적 학습자는 61%, 시각적 학습자는 73.1%, 숙고하는 학습자는 80%, 총체적 학습자는 66.7%로서 우세한 비율을 차지하는 나타났다. 성별에 따른 학습양식의 차이에서는 정보처리 차원에서 유의한 차이를 보였으며, 여자가 남자보다 숙고하는 학습양식을 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 학습양식에 따른 의사소통 불안 수준의 차이를 분석한 결과, 정보지각과 정보처리 차원에서 유의한 차이를 보였다. 감각적 학습 자가 직관적 학습자보다, 숙고하는 학습자가 적극적 학습자보다 더 높은 수준의 의사소통 불안을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 기초하여 의사소통 교육 프로그램을 실행할 때, 학습자의 학습양식을 고려하여 의사소통 불안 수준을 최소화할 수 있는 전략에 대한 시사점을 제안하였다. The purpose of this study was to investigate between learning styles and communication apprehension of Engineering students. Participants were 405 first-year Engineering cohort. Following were the results: First, 80 percent were classified as Reflective learners, 61 percent were classified as Sensing learners, 73.1 percent were classified as Visual learners, and 66.7 percent were classified as Global learners. Second, the result showed that there was a significant difference in learning style by gender. Most female learners were Reflective, while most male learners were Active. Lastly, the finding revealed that there were significant differences in communication apprehension on Perception and Processing dimension. Sensing students demonstrated higher level of communication apprehension than Intuitive students and Reflective students shown higher level of communication apprehension than Active students. For the program developing Engineering students communication skills, implications for reducing students communication apprehension based on the type of learning styles were discussed.

The purpose of the study is to identify the influence of learning participation on learning outcomes in programming courses. Based on the literature review, learning participation is composed of three sub components: participation in preview, class, and review. Learning outcomes are categorized by academic achievement, learning satisfaction, and learning motivation. A survey was conducted with 267 students enrolled in programming courses from three IT departments at Myongji College. Findings revealed that participation in review and participation in class predicted all sub components of learning outcomes. Participation in review was found to have a greater effect on learners’ achievement and participation in class was found to have a greater impact on learning satisfaction and motivation. However, the results showed that participation in class was not an influential factor for learning outcomes. Implications for enhancing learning participation and suggestions for future research are also discussed.
공과대학 여대생의 진로지도를 위한 교수 가이드라인 개발 연구

In this study, we developed career guidance guidelines in order to support professors in guiding the career development of female students in engineering programs. Focus Group Interview (FGI) was conducted by a group of experts composed of 7 professors at the department of computer engineering in order to identify the current status and draw guidelines. It was found that the female students of engineering college were required to improve their efficacy, strengthen their major competency, improve their practical job competency, cultivate basic competency, and provide guidance on specific employment information. Then, we suggested the five elements of each grade and checklists focusing on five elements and proposed the forms so that they can be easily utilized in actual career guidance. At two expert meetings, the validity of the guidelines and the forms were verified and revised. Finally, we suggested a way to streamline the application of these guidelines.
