This paper is about the frame for an all terrain vehicle(ATV). An all terrain vehicle, also known as an ATV, has a seat designed to comfortably accommodate a rider over a wide variety of rugged terrain. This study developed and evaluated a buffer system to drive safely and reduce impact force on the load. The Frame includes a main frame portion which has one or more support frames. The buffer system with a double cushion system, one or more of the interaction of the shock absorber is constructed. The 3D modeling of ATV frame is built up with the software CATIA. According to the designing requirement, we analyzed the stress and the deformation of the frame.
사륜구동 오토바이(ATV)용 차동제한장치(LSD) 개발에 관한 연구

ATV(All Terrain Vehicle) has been developed to be used for agricultural fields on unpaved roads but now it is mostly used to transport a short distance and play leisure sports at mountains. Recently, main concerns on the automobile industry is developing not only a car safe, high fuel efficient and friendly related with environment but also two-wheeled vehicles. In order to maintain high fuel efficiency and safety of two-wheeled vehicle, it is essential that ATV should be set up differential gear. But we worried for ATV which had been set up differential gear not to run on unpaved roads. Therefore, it is necessary to develop LSD(Limited Slip Differential) that maintains existing advantages of ATV and ensures ATV to travel safely on roads. Now LSD equipped cars have a complicated structure, so setting up on ATV is unsuitable. Therefore, in this study, we have developed simple, small and well operating LSD.
Stereolithography를 위한 STL파일로부터 단면정보 변환시스템의 개발

This paper deals with conversion from the STL file to the Slice to the Slice cross-sectional information for Stereolithography. The STL file is widely used for Stereolithography, but it is very difficult to convert STL file into Slice file directly. Because it consists of an ordered list of triangular net without any topological information other than the orientation of each facet. So, The system is accomplished by data flow through several intermediate stages such as Reference. SL1. .SL2L. .SL3. and .SLC file. The data processing is performed in 5 steps: 1) Create a Reference file including common information. 2) Modify STL file within the effective range of SL machine. 3) Calculate a point of intersection between plane equation and line equation. 4) Sort z values in ascending order using quick sort algorithm. 5) Search the adjacent points and formulate a closed loop usingsingly linked linear list. The system is developed by using Borland C++ 3.1 compiler in the environment of Pentium PC, and verified to be satisfactory by making some prototypes of electric household appliances.
