Semiotics is concerned not so much with what things mean, but how they mean. It is the study of how meanings come about and are constructed in society. Semiotics is important and useful to the study of black feminism drama as a signifying practice because it helps account for the text and its signification. A semiotic approach to shange’s discursive strategy such as vernacular expression, resistance to normative language and story, disruption of conventional narratives and collective interactions of many genres together opens up the plurality of multi-layered meanings and thematic politics of the black feminism dramas. Her choreopoem is best described as decolonizing discourse in which colored subjects confront and liberate themselves from different kinds of oppressive structures. (Chonbuk National University)

A ritualistic approach to Ntozake Shange’s characteristic style and themes of her choreopoem enables the reader/audience to understand Shange’s theatrical stance in Afro-American theatre history. Shange has redefined American theatre to include African rituals and conventions through adopting and shaping uniquely Afro-American dramatic stuff such as flexibility of dramatic form and participatory theatre. Her female characters as well as male ones in spell #7 undergo personal and sometimes political search for wholeness through ritual stages. Shange structures spell #7 around the initiation and survival rituals of African-American female actress as well as male actors who struggle mightily to make their lives whole in spite of the forces that seek to negate their personhood and professionality. The ritualization of her drama differentiates her drama from the Western dramas on the levels of both themes and styles. That’s why her writing might be approached politically as well as aesthetically. (Chonbuk National University)

최근 전 세계적으로 ‘가짜뉴스’, ‘가짜 연예인 음란 동영상’ 및 ‘지인 능욕’에 사용되는 인공지능 기반의 딥페이크 (Deepfakes)기술이 사회적인 이슈로 대두되고 있다. 딥페이크 기술이란 딥러닝 기술을 이용해 악의적으로 조작된 음성, 영상, 이미지 등을 만들어 내는 방법으로, 인공지능 기술의 발전에 맞추어 더욱더 빠르고 정교한 생성 기술이 등장하고 있다. 이러한 딥페이크 기술은 빠른 개발 속도와 쉬운 접근성을 기반으로 다양한 범죄에 악용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 다양한 딥페이크 생성 기술을 설명하고, 이를 효율적으로 탐지 할 수 있는 다양한 데이터 기반 딥페이크 탐지 기술의 현황을 설명한다.

Ntozake Shange’s characterization of the black male characters on stage has urged the black male critics to criticize her works as a black feminist’s ruthless and unjustified attack on all black men. Yet a closer look at and reading black male characters in Shange’s a photograph: lovers in action shows that Shange reserves sympathy for them. In a photograph: lovers in motion redefines Shange manhood as jealousy, emotional vulnerability and sensitivity often attributed to female characters. Shange wants the audience to understand black men’s vulnerability is not far from that of black women. Shange believes that with this understanding black men and women are able to work together against racist society that victimizes them both. (Chonbuk National University)
