According to the economic growth and food service industry advance, the various occupations that are intimately involved with food appeared. The food coordinator is one of newly-emerging departments. This study is to make search for the activities and curriculum of the food coordinator. For this research, respondents consist of students, professors of food and food service industry in College(or University) and professional groups(cook, worker of the service industry. etc)of food service industry in DaeguKyongbuk area. Questionnaire survey was used for analysis, it put an interest specially in two portions. One was what it is the role of the food coordinator and the other was what it is the curriculum that is necessary to the role of the food coordinator.With result of this study, respondents of this area knew the reaction regarding the question relating to the role and a curriculum of the food coordinator. This area was different from the other. The food coordinator produces the special food that was the first in role and it is important in curriculum that was a skill, a creative problem-solving ability and a specialty knowledge order. Based on this research, it will be able to inform students of the activities of the food coordinator accurately and to judge of it that is what a kind of subject in College(or University) can be open.
