        The Geomunoreum Lava Tube System (GLTS) is both vast and culturally valuable. It was formed by both lava activities and carbonates, which is unprecedented case in the world. The Jeju Volcanic Island and Lava Tubes, which are partly composed of the GLTS, have been declared as a United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) World Heritage Site. Little was known about the GLTs, so we conducted fundamental study for conservation. Photographs is one of easiest way to record, but they do not describe the entire environment comprehensively. Therefore, we created several illustrations of the lava tubes to display their environmental features. We explored six lava caves (upstream and downstream) in the GLTS and photographed their geological features and yellow walls, the colors of which are influenced by microbial mats. We compared the hex codes of the wall colors to describe exact colors. We created illustrations that accurately represent the scale and features of the caves using the Clip Studio v1.10.5 software. Upstream and downstream parts of the GLTS differ in scale and volcanic features. We illustrated various characteristics of the caves including lava cave features, vegetation, and microbial mats. We also described the internal and external cave environments.

        A Study of Ceramic Works Created by a Mixed-Media Process of 3D Printing and Projection Mapping

        The purpose of this study was to mention the matters regarding the formative characteristics and artistic value of ceramic works based on an actual ceramic object made by the researcher, which was printed using ceramic material using 3D printing technology, and a digital video used for projection mapping. To this end, a case study of 3D-printed ceramic works and projection mapping were carried out, and an analysis was conducted based on the intention, production, and exhibition of the actual object produced by the researcher. The findings and details were as follows: First, focusing specifically on the geometry of the researchers’ ceramic work, the intention was to highlight morphological changes in simple yet differentiated units through a combination of dynamic and static structures used simultaneously. Second, in order to demonstrate the media combination in addition to the above, an attempt was made to make the viewing of the ceramic work a more immersive experience by layering video images on top of the ceramic object. Results of such analysis established that the object, consisting of geometric figures, exhibited extensibility as a three-dimensional work which existed in a complementary and relative manner that postulated the concepts of dynamic and static domains, while video mapping could be expected not only to improve an audience’s concentration but also draw forth development of a formative pattern that expands possibilities within the ceramics field. It is expected that new value will continually be created in line with the advancing digital technology by applying a wide range of convergences within digital technology in the ceramics field.

        난민 보건 문제와 국제사회의 대응

        This study analyzes the health of refugees and IDPs in South Sudan, Syria, and Kosovo. In South Sudan, lack of clean food and water and open defecation threaten displaced persons’ health. Thus, refugees and IDPs are exposed to communicable diseases such as diarrhea, pnenmonia, malaria, kala-azar, and cholera. In Syria, both communicable diseases and non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are serious threats to IDPs’ health. The mass influx of Syrian refugees into neighboring countries also puts a strain on the health facilities in those countries, and many Syrian refugees lack access to treatment of NCDs. For the Kosovo refugees in Macedonia and Albania, NATO built camps and provided services and security. Due to these efforts, no significant epidemic developed. This study shows that reducing the gap between refugees and IDPs is an important step to improving the access of both groups to health facilities. This study also suggests establishing a global fund so as to respond more effectively to the increasing numbers of refugees and IDPs worldwide.

        Suggestion for creative idea frame of ceramic collaboration education through design thinking

        Collaborative education, which is a way of learning to naturally acquire communication, encouragement, and sense of accomplishment, as well as mutual help, is increasing in order to achieve common learning goals rather than alone. The purpose of this study originated from the effort to establish a more systematic framework to execute collaborative ceramic classes that focus on artistic expression. To achieve this, a framework on the execution process of collaborative ceramic courses and a step-by-step procedure were proposed in comparison to a “design thinking” method based a curriculum that focuses on practicality rather than artistic expression. The contents and results of the research are as follows: first, the study explores the significance of a collaborative education and its significance and impact in the field of collaborative ceramic education. Second, Through theoretical examination of the above-mentioned ceramic collaboration education, the meaning and educational effects of collaboration education will be presented and compared to practicality-oriented classes based on design thinking will be analyzed. Third, present an order model for the implementation process and step-by-step road map of ceramic collaboration education through practicality-oriented design thinking classes. Through such research and its outcome, one was able to develop a superior system that may allow implementation of a creative and effective collaborative ceramic education process. Based on the research results stated above, one anticipates on creating a more systematic model by operating additional research on revision, supplementation, and substitution for this framework along with hypotheses of variables in practical application and execution.

        HIV/AIDS 대응과 국제기구의 역할

        본 연구는 HIV/AIDS에 대응하는 국제기구의 역할을 살펴보고 이러한 국제기구의 도움이 성공적이기 위한 국내정치적 요소들을 우간다, 세네갈, 짐바브웨, 케냐의 사례연구를 통해 살펴보고자 한다. 세계보건기구와 유엔에이즈가 협력하여 HIV/AIDS 퇴치를 위해 노력하고 있는데, HIV/AIDS에 대응하는 국제기구의 역할을 제도주의/구성주의의 관점에서 보면 각국의 감염 실태 등 정보를 취합, 제공하여 거래비용을 낮춰 주는 것은 제도주의자들이 주장했던 국제기구의 역할이며, HIV 퇴치를 주창하는 등 규범을 확산하는 것은 구성주의자들이 주장했던 국제기구의 역할이다. 하스(Haas 1992)의 주장을 고려하면 HIV/AIDS 문제 해결을 위해서 각국의 전문가들로 구성된 인식공동체가 중요한 역할을 할 수 있겠으나, 유드(Youde 2005)는 남아공의 예를 들어 HIV라는 하나의 이슈에 대해서도 여러 개의 인식공동체가 존재할 수 있음을 보여준다. 남아공에서 반인식공동체가 형성되어 자국의 HIV 문제를 부인하고 국제사회의 도움을 거절했던 상황은 HIV/AIDS 문제가 국제사회의 의지만으로 해결되기에는 부족할 수 있다는 문제를 제기한다. 한편, 각국의 민주화 수준이 HIV 감염률에 미치는 영향에 대한 정량적 연구들은 성숙된 민주주의 국가일수록 HIV 감염률이 감소한다는 결과를 보여주는데, 우간다와 세네갈은 HIV 감염률 감소에 성공했으나 기존의 민주화 수준을 측정한 기준에 따르면 이러한 평가를 받았던 1990년대 말까지 민주주의 국가와는 거리가 멀었다. 본 연구는 우간다, 세네갈, 짐바브웨, 케냐 4개국 사례 분석을 통해 HIV/AIDS 감염률 감소를 위해서는 국제기구의 지원과 동시에 정치 지도자의 리더십, 국제기구의 원조를 수행하고 도와줄 NGO의 역할이 필요하다고 주장한다. 본 연구는 국제사회의 HIV/AIDS 대응에 있어 국제기구가 각국의 HIV/AIDS 관련 NGO들의 역할을 더욱 활성화시키는 방안이 필요하며, 국제사회가 HIV/AIDS를 안보의 위협으로 인식하는 만큼, 각국의 정치 지도자들이 같은 인식을 할 때 더 급속한 퇴치가 가능할 것이라는 함의를 제시한다. Although there are many studies about international organizations, specific IOs such as international health organizations, are rarely investigated. This study focuses on health IOs and their roles in reducing HIV rates considering countries` domestic political factors. In some states, the efforts of IOs have reduced the HIV prevalence rate, while in other states, they have not contributed to a decrease in the disease rate. One might ask what accounts for this difference. IR literature is not very clear about the conditions necessary for achievement of IOs` goals. Even though studies(Vieria 2006; Youde 2007) about the WHO suggest its importance, they are limited because they do not consider domestic factors. Constructivists cannot explain the situations when IOs are short of finances and thus cannot implement the norm. Rationalists also do not sufficiently consider domestic factors that may be relevant. Using case studies, I argue that only when IOs work together with domestic factors, such as political leadership and NGOs`vigorous role, can the disease be reduced.

        다중상관분석을 실시한 수준별 창의융합설계교육 프로그램 최종 평가체계의 구축

        본 연구에서는 지난 연구 (vol.37 No.2)에 대한 연장선상으로 창의융합설계교육 프로그램의 수준별 평가체계를 최종 구축을 진행하고자 함에 시작하였다. 이에 지난 연구에서 예비 창의융합설계교육 프로그램 평가체계를 보다 많은 전문가들에게 설문지 검증을 실시하고자 하여, 예비 평가체계의 영역별 부적합한 문항을 삭제하여 재정비하고 이에 대한 최종 영역별 가중치까지 설정해보았다. 추가적으로 신뢰도 검증분석, 요인별 분석까지 적용하여 최종 수준별 창의융합설계교육 평가체계를 최종 구축하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 다학제적 창의융합설계교육관련 교사, 학생, 학생팀 내 동료가 해당 프로그램 종료 후, 타입별 평가체계에 직접 대입하여 사후진단이 가능토록 하여 해당 프로그램에 대한 이해도를 높이는데 최종 의의를 두고자 한다. 더 나아가 교육자에게는 추후 교육 활동 진행 시 유념하고 인지해야 할 부분을, 학생들은 자기 자신이 가지고 있는 부족한 부분과 학습해야 할 부분을, 그리고 협력 활동 시 상대와의 소통과 협력에 대한 부분을 정확히 알아볼 수 있는 계기가 되겠다. 연구결과 향후에는 본 연구에서 진행한 최종 창의융합설계교육 프로그램 평가체계를 실제 프로그램에 대입해본다면, 사후진단 결과에 대한 솔루션 제시 및 해결 방법까지도 상황별로 제시한다면 프로그램 이행, 진단, 해결의 모든 프로세스를 총체적으로 경험하는 심화 진단의 가치로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. This study started with the aim to conduct final construction of the level-based evaluation system of the creative convergence design education program as an extension of the previous research(vol.37, No.2). Accordingly, with the intention of implementing questionnaire verification of the preliminary creative convergence design education program handled in the previous research through much more experts, this study rearranged the evaluation system by deleting unsuitable questions by area of the preliminary evaluation system, and set up even the weighted value thereof by final area. Additionally, this study completed the final construction of the creative convergence design education evaluation system by final level through the application of reliability verification analysis, and the analysis by factor as well. The purpose of this study is to give final significance in raising a degree of understanding of the relevant program by making possible the ex post facto diagnosis through the direct substitution of the program for the evaluation system by type led by the teachers, students and co-workers within a student team who are related to the multidisciplinary creative convergence design education after closing the relevant program. Further, this study-implied points might be the momentum for accurately figuring out the part which should be kept in mind and recognized in case of an educator when conducting the education activity later on, the part of one’s own deficiencies and the part in need of learning in case of a student, and the part about communication and cooperation with the other party at the time of cooperation activity. As a result of this study, it is hoped that this study-conducted final creative convergence design education program evaluation system could be utilized as the value of an in-depth diagnosis, in which users experience all process of program implementation, diagnosis & settlement comprehensively in the future if the program evaluation system should be put into an actual program, and if a solution to the result of the ex post factor diagnosis should be suggested, and the even ultimate settlement method should be suggested by situation.

        창의융합형 도자공예교육 프로그램 평가모델의 구축

        본 연구의 목적은 최근 각광받는 창의융합형 초등학교 도자공예교육 프로그램에서 적용가능한 상황별 평가모델을 설계 및 진단·분석하고 사후진단이 가능하게끔 하는데 의의가 있다. 연구방법 및 내용으로는 창의융합형 초등학교 도자공예교육 프로그램을 상황별로 나누어, 범주별 평가모형에서 갖추어야 할 능력치와 진단요소에 대해 차별성 있는 평가모델을 구축하였다. 전문가 통계분석결과, 개인별 진행하는 프로그램의 지표 구성에서는 모든 영역과 문항의 구성이 대부분 타당하고 신뢰성이 확보되어 영역별 문항배분 및 구성이 적절하지만, 그룹별 진행하는 지표 구성에서는 일부 영역에서의 문항 재검토가 필요하다는 결과가 나았다. 향후 본 결과를 토대로 일부 평가항목을 재검토하고, 상황별 중고등학생 창의융합형 도자공예교육 프로그램 평가모델 설계·통계분석을 진행하고자 하며, 실제상황에 대입한 경과를 재분석해보는 경험을 통해 보다 심도 있는 연구로 이어가 현장에 활용할 수 있는 지침을 구축하고자 한다. The purpose of this study is to design, diagnose, and analyze the evaluation models by applicable circumstances in the creative convergence ceramic arts education program in elementary schools, which has been receiving the spotlight recently, and to make post-diagnosis available for the program. For the research method and content, the creative convergence ceramic arts education program in elementary schools was divided by scenarios, followed by the construction of evaluation models differentiated in terms of capacity and diagnosis elements required in evaluation models by category. As a result of statistical analysis performed by experts, it was observed that the composition of indicators for individually administered programs mostly features feasible domains and questions to secure reliability to make the distribution and composition of questions in each domain appropriate. group programs, it was observed that the second review of questions in some domains was necessary. Some evaluation items will be reviewed again, followed by design and statistical analysis of the program in middle and high schools by scenarios. This would be followed by establishing guidelines that can be utilized in the field from more in-depth studies resulting from the experience of reanalyzing the progression.
