곡류 및 잡곡류를 이용한 팽화과자의 생리 활성 비교연구

This study was performed to compare the physiological effects of puffed snack on diabetic and geriatric diseases using miscellaneous cereals and grain crops. The puffed snacks were prepared with different amounts of miscellaneous cereals and grain crops (in ratios of 10%, 20%, and 30% of brown rice). Changes in the water soluble index, water absorption index, color, antioxidant activity, total polyphenol content acidity, ${\alpha}$-glucosidase inhibition activity, and sensory evaluation were also determined. As the cereal and crop contents increased, the value of the water soluble index increased while the water absorption index decreased, with the exception of glutinous foxtail and barnyard millets. With respect to color, lightness and yellowness decreased in concert with increases in the cereal and crop contents, whereas redness increased. Furthermore, the antioxidant activity and total polyphenol content as well as ${\alpha}$-glucosidase inhibition activity increased remarkably with increasing concentrations of sorghum. There was no significant difference in the physiological activities depending on the addition of millet, barley and barnyard millets. In sensory evaluation, the puffed snacks containing sorghum, millet, and glutinous foxtail millet received higher values than other samples. Altogether, our results indicate that puffed snacks containing 10~20% sorghum could be suitable as ingredients for improving sensory and physiological activities in diabetic and geriatric diseases.
충북지역 노지포도원에서 열점박이별잎벌레 (Oides decempunctatus)의 발생생태 및 발육특성

This study was conducted to investigate the seasonal occurrence of Oides decempunctatus (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae) and it`s damage on grape according to the variety. In Chungbuk province, occurrence of O. decempunctatus was from 20 to 38% at open field vineyard during 2011 to 2012. O. decempunctatus showed the highest peak in mid-late June (larva) and mid-late August (adult). Overwintered eggs of O. decempunctatus were hatched from late May to early June. Larval period was from late May to mid July and pupal period was taken one month during July under the ground soil. Adults appeared in mid July and it began ovipositing on the ground near the crown until mid October. Among 39 varieties, Seyve villard 5247 was damaged more than 50% by this pest, and followed 6 varieties including Baco 22A were damaged within 20~50%. Whereas, Neo Muscat, MBA and Delaware were damaged less than 5%. Developmental period of O. decempunctatus from egg to emergence was taken times as 86.0 days at 20℃ and 40.7 days at 30℃. The hatching rate was the highest at 25℃ showing 79.9%, wheres it was decreased to 39.8% at 30℃. Each developmental zero point (15, 20, 25, 30±1℃, 60±5% RH) was recorded as 9.9, 11.5, 9.1, 9.3℃ and effective accumulated temperature was investigated 166.6, 290.9, 404.2, 913.2 Degree Day (DD).

It might be considered as difficult process to apply current researching technology to the fields of agriculture. Before the 80`s, distributing brochures and pamphlet and direct visits to farmers were the only means used for research. But as society evolved, so did the methods. Media began to its place in the process. This study`s main objective was to identify how farmers solve the problem on farming itself and also on how they improve customer-satisfaction. The Service Consultation Center of Rural Development Administration totaled up 19,666 cases of farmers`s inquiries on 2010 by internet surveys, phone-calls and by post. Customer satisfaction scored highest on horticulture 39.5%), being followed by rice(23.2%) and other crops.
