A case of neosporosis is described in a 6-month-old aborted bovine fetus. Grossly, numerous, well-demarcated, 2-3mm, yellowish white foci were scattered in the heart and skeletal muscle. Histopathologic changes were confined to the brain, heart, and skeletal muscle. Multifocal areas of necrotizing encephalitis were observed in the cerebrum as well as cerebellum. Severe multifocal to coalescing nonsuppurative inflammation was observed in the myocardium and skeletal muscle. The tachyzoites of Neospora caninum were demonstrated in the brain, myocardium and skeletal muscle with immunohistochemical method using Neospora caninum-specific antibody. Based on the histopathology and immunohistochemistry, this case was diagnosed as neosporosis in aborted Korean cattle. This is believed to be the first reported case of bovine neosporosis in Korea.

Due to the depletion of fossil fuels that is worldwide problem, the importance of renewable energy sources is increasing. Renewable energy source with the intermittent output characteristics affects the power system stability a lot. In this paper, overall(Global) characteristics of Korea power system was examined base on the frequency stability for renewable energy dissemination policy and the acceptable amount was calculated.
건설폐기물(建設廢棄物) 재활용(再活用) 과정에 대한 경제성(經濟性) 평가(評價) 연구(硏究)

산업화 과정에서는 항상 폐기물이 발생하며 그 양은 점차 증가하고 있다. 2003년 생활 및 사업장 폐기물은 전년대비 9.5%의 증가추이를 보인 반면, 건설 폐기물은 전년대비 21.0%의 높은 증가 추이를 보였다. 현재 전체폐기물 중 건설 폐기물은 50%에 육박하며, 그 중에서도 폐콘크리트와 폐아스콘이 73%를 차지하고 있다. 이에 더하여 지금까지 풍부한 천연자원으로만 여겨졌던 골재의 양이 점차 줄어들고 있어, 건설 폐기물 재활용의 필요성은 더욱 강조되고 있다. 재생골재의 활용은 막대한 건설폐기물의 처리를 용이하게 함과 동시에 골재채취로 인한 환경파괴는 물론 부족한 신규골재를 대체할 수 있는 효과를 가진다. 본 연구는 건설 폐기물중 배출량이 상대적으로 많은 폐아스콘을 중심으로 재활용 경제성 분석을 위해 비용/편익 모형을 사용하였으며, 신규골재와 재생골재간의 비용 비교만을 수행하였다. 이 식을 이용하여 2003년과 2004년을 기준으로 한, 수도권 지역 내 아스콘에 대한 재활용 경제성을 평가해 본 결과, 2003년의 0.0694보다 2004년이 0.0805로 더 높게 나타났다. 두 자료만으로 결론을 내릴 수 없으나, 이는 건설부문에서 아스콘의 재활용 가치가 높아짐을 반증하고 있다고 사료된다. Amount of waste is always generated in industrialization process and it is gradually increasing. Domestic and industrial waste in 2003 increased by 9.5 percent than that of the last year(2002), whereas the amount of construction waste increased largely by 21 percent. Recently construction waste of total waste accounts for nearly 50 percent, waste concrete and Ascon from the construction waste takes up to 73 percent. Furthermore, amount of natural materials are gradually decreasing, that is, they are not sufficient any more. Owing to these reasons, the importance of recycling construction waste has been emphasized. The use of recycling aggregate makes the disposal of construction waste easier as well as protects environment from gathering raw aggregate. Also, it has the alternative effect economizing the insufficient new natural aggregate. This study employs the cost-benefit model to analyze the economic effect of construction waste recycling of Ascon which takes relatively high part of the total waste. The cost-comparison between raw aggregate and recycling aggregate were analyzed. With the model, the economic effect of Ascon recycling in 2003 and 2004 in capital area of Korea were analysed. Cost comparison between raw aggregate and recycling aggregate were also carried out. The result showed that the economic effect of Ascon recycling increased to 0.0808 for 2004 as compared 0.0694 for 2003. We could not conclude using above data, but this result shows that the economic benefit of Ascon recycling of construction waste has increased.

Energy resources on the Earth may not be sufficient because more and more energy is needed for human beings as global economy grows further. Several alternatives being proposed to solve problems. Especially, CHP(Combined Heat and Power) is considered as the most realistic and efficient solution. This paper developed an optimal operation mechanism of connected system between the DHC(District Heating and Cooling). This operation system of DHC that is limited to power transaction can be expanded into the combined energy transaction including thermal transaction. This method can optimally operate connected systems and calculate the maximum profits by Dynamic Programing and Economic Heat Load Dispatch. Through the case studies, it is verified that the proposed algorithm is very realistic and effective.
