In order to meet stringent emission regulation in US, it is mandatory to install the high efficiency NOx aftertreatment system in diesel application vehicle, SCR(Selective Catalytic Reduction), which is the latest technology on passenger car. Due to the application of new after-treatment system, the development of OBD(On Board Diagnostics) is necessary. In this paper, new OBD logic, control parameter and method of monitoring the malfunction of SCR system are shown for NOx efficiency monitoring, Front NOx sensor monitoring, Rear NOx sensor monitoring, Fault urea detection.
승용디젤 차량의 DPF Soot량 검출 최적화에 관한 연구

Period of regenerations has great effects on fuel consumption and durability of DPF. Shorter period of regeneration increases fuel consumption and longer period of regeneration causes uncontrolled burning during regeneration phases. Therefore, the proper detection of soot mass in DPF is a very important factor for regeneration strategy. Currently used differential pressure model can not properly detect the soot mass during CRT(Continuous Regeneration Trap) regeneration. It detects soot mass lighter than actual soot mass. Differential pressure model can be optimized by correcting value depending on the driving condition. This paper presents a procedure and calibration method which can enhance an accuracy of soot mass detection in vehicle condition.
