Russian Avant-garde expressed the most radical experiments in all of western avant-gardes, and vastly affected on modern architecture. It is because that the design of Bauhaus which played an important role in establishing the main stream of modern architecture followed the line of Russian Constructivism, except of the case of early Expressionism. And it is Suprematism that expressed the most perfect geometrical abstract in Russian avant-gardes. This study aims to analyze the way of architectural expression of Suprematism and its effects on contemporary architectural design. As a result, Suprematism was born in the background of social, cultural speciality in Russia, and was a movement that formed the first absolute geometrical abstract. The architectural expressions of Suprematism were the dynamic composition of square, rectangle, circle, cross and lines, various transformation of Malevich's architecton.
단면의 폭이 증가하는 $180^\circ$ 곡덕트 내 난류유동의 수치해석적 연구

This paper reports the characteristics of the three dimensional turbulent flow by numerical method in the 180 degree bends with increasing cross-sectional area. Calculated pressure and velocity, Reynolds stress distributions are compared to the experimental data. Turbulence model employed are low Reynolds number $textsc{k}$-$\varepsilon$ model and algebraic stress model(ASM). The results show that the main vortex generated from the inlet part of the bend maintained to outlet of the bend and vortices are continually developed at the inner wall region. The distribution of turbulent kinetic energy along the bend are increase up to 120$^{\circ}$ because of increment of cross-sectional area. Secondary flow strength of the flow is lower about 60% than that of square duct flow.

This study is focused on the development and selection of the optimal cool tube system to maximize its thermal performance. Cool tube is devised to reduce the heating and cooling load of building by preheating or refreshing of intake air with buried pipes. Finite volume method is adopted to solve the conduction problem between the cool tube and earth. We examine the cool tube system for two operating periods, a short term(12 hours) and a long term(3 months). The results of short term operations reveal that condensation significantly influences and raises the exit air temperature. For long term operations, optimum conditions of cool tube system are obtained with variations of flow-rate, depth, length and diameter of cool tube.
