Usually equal noise exposure is considered to cause symmetrical hearing loss, but some screening audiometries of employees who were exposed to noise showed asymmetry. Therefore, this study was carried out to evaluate the distribution of asymmetrical hearing loss and the difference of air conduction level between left and right ear at the different frequencies (500, 1,000, 2,000, 3,000, 4,000, 6,000 Hz). Study subjects were 326 male employees who had participated in the noise-specific health examination from May to October, 2002. They were evaluated by otoscopic examination, pure tone audiometry and tympanometry. In all frequencies, hearing threshold level of left ear was worse than right ear. The mean interaural threshold differences between two ears were 0.83 dB at 500 Hz, 1.18 dB at 2,000 Hz, 2.29 dB at 3,000 Hz, 2.18 dB at 4,000 Hz, and statistically significant (p<0.05). The hearing loss of left ear was greater than right ear in occupationally noise-exposed workers. It is believed that left ear was more susceptible to noise damage than right ear.

This paper presents a robust optimal design method for a periodic structure type of MEMS resonator that is vulnerable to mode localization. The robust configuration of such a MEMS resonator to fabrication error is implemented by changing the regularity of periodic structure For the mathematical convenience, the MEMS resonator is first modeled as a multi-pendulum system. The index representing the measure of mode variation is then introduced using the perturbation method and the concept of modal assurance criterion. Finally, the optimal intentional mistuning, minimizing the expectation of the irregularity measure for each substructure, is determined for the normal distributed fabrication error and its robustness in the design of MEMS resonator to the fabrication error is demonstrated with numerical examples.
전치부 Pontic ridge lap 제작에 대한 연구

본 연구는 보철치료의 최종 목적인 결손치아 및 그 주위 조직의 정상적 기능의 회복과 유지를 위한 전치부 교의치의 반 자정(ridge lap)형 가공치의 체계적인 제작 방법을 연구하였다. 가공치가 갖추어야 할 설계 기준를 제도화 하였고, 치과의사의 소견으로 염증, 치주질환, 음식물 잔류 및 자정작용의 효과가 기존의 제작 방법보다 더 우수한 결과를 얻었다. 본 논문에서 제시하는 가공치 제작방법은 임상에 적용해도 무방하다고 판단된다. This research is studied the systemic production method of missing teeth and ridge lap type pontic for the maintenance and restoration of normal function of the surrounding tissue as the goal of prosthetic treatment. According to the dentists opinions, with the illustrated design criteria that pontic has to be equipped, inflammation, periodontal disease, food residues, and self-cleaning effect are obtained a better result than the conventional production method. The pontic production method presented in this paper is considered good enough to be applied to a clinically.
도재용착용 비귀금속과 열가압성형도재의 전단결합강도 연구

Purpose: Heat pressed ceramics, used for all ceramic restorations, have the additional advantage of being technically less change through using of the lost-wax technique. Conceptually, combining the ceramic with the clinically proven reinforcing ability of a metal framework would be advantageous; however, cause of mismatching of fusion between ceramics and metal frameworks which from differences of casting temperature and coefficient of thermal expansion, pressed ceramics could not be used with a metal framework. The purpose of this study was to compare shear bond strength of press-to metal ceramic to porcelain fused non precious metal and feldspatic porcelain fused non precious metal. Methods: The 30 metal specimens were casted in a porcelain fused non precious metal nickel-chromium alloy. They were divided into 3 groups by surface treatment and applied ceramic: $125{\mu}m$ aluminium oxide sandblasting and veneered feldspatic porcelain (group FP), $125{\mu}m$ aluminium oxide sandblasting and had press-to-metal ceramic applied (group PC), porcelain bonder (gold bonder) fused on surface of metal specimens and had press-to-metal ceramic applied (group PCG). In each group 10 metal specimens were used. The press-to-metal ceramic applied 20 specimens had ash-free wax pattern applied, the metal-wax complexes invested, and were pressed with heat press ceramic. All specimens were subjected to shear bond strength test at a crosshead speed of 1.0 mm/min. Results: The results of measured in Mean SD and data were analyzed by one-way AVOVA (p= .05) and Tukey HSD test (p= .05).: group FP $16.090{\pm}1.841$ MPa, group PC $12.620{\pm}1.8256$ MPa, group PCG $10.920{\pm}0.9283$, significant differences between all groups (p < .05). Significant differences were found in each between group FP and group PC, group FP and group PCG (p < .05). Conclusion: The shear bond strength of press-to-metal ceramic to porcelain fused non precious metal was described higher in unused gold bonder group than used gold bonder groups.
리브 보강된 콘크리트 충전 HSS 가새부재의 이력 거동

The purpose of this study is to improve the seismic behavior of the bracing members. Lee and Goel's (1987) concrete filling in the hollow structural section (HSS) reduced the severity of local buckling and increased the fracture life. However, concrete filling in the HSS did not prevent the occurrence of local buckling in the midsection of the bracing member, which resulted in continuous strength degradation. This study investigated the seismic behavior of the concrete-filled HSS bracing member, which is reinforced by ribs in the midsection of the bracing member. The main variable of the specimens is rib length. The test results showed that buckling mode, cyclic compression strength, and energy dissipation capacity of the bracing members were affected by rib length. Specimen reinforced with ribs with a length of 63% had better structural performance. 본 연구의 목적은 가새 골조에서 사용되는 가새 부재를 보강하여 가새 골조의 이력 거동을 향상시키는 것이다. HSS(Hollow Structural Section) 가새 부재는 국부 좌굴의 발생으로 인하여 인장측 성능에 비해 압축측 성능이 취약한 단점이 있다. 국부 좌굴의 심각성을 감소시키기 위하여 가새 부재에 콘크리트를 충전하는 방법이 사용되었다. Lee and Goel(1987)의 연구 결과에 따르면 콘크리트 충전은 HSS 가새 부재의 국부좌굴의 심각성을 감소시켜 파괴 수명을 증가시켰으나, 가새 부재 중앙부의 국부좌굴을 방지하지 못하여 지속적인 압축 강도의 저감이 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 가새 부재의 압축 강도를 증가시키고 중앙부의 국부 좌굴을 방지하기 위하여 콘크리트 충전 HSS 가새 부재의 중앙부를 리브로 보강한 실험체를 제작하여 실험하였다. 이를 위하여 리브 보강길이를 변수로 한 총 4개의 실물 크기의 가새 부재를 제작하였다. 하중은 압축과 인장이 대칭인 하중이력을 사용하였다. 본 실험에서 좌굴 모드, 사이클 최대 압축강도와 에너지 소산능력에서 나타난 리브 보강 가새 부재의 성능은 리브 보강길이에 따라 다르게 나타났으며, 63%의 길이로 보강한 실험체가 가장 우수한 성능을 나타내었다.

Purpose: The author performed experiments on the microhardness and the marginal fitness of composite resins after polymerizing 4 kinds of composite resins on MOD standard specimens. Methods: For this study, in order to compare the microhardness and the marginal fitness of 4 kinds of composite resins. Results: The results are as follows. 1. In case of the microhardness, Tescera scored the highest among the four kinds of composite resins. 2. In case of the marginal fitness, Premise Indirect scored the highest. However, there was no statistically significant difference, all staying in clinically practical range. 3. Considering the above results, among the four kinds of composite resins, the author advises to use Tescera during teeth restoration which scored the highest in the micro- hardness. Conclusion: Conclusion: All of the composite marginal fitness were within the clinically useful range.
냉간성형 HSS 가새부재의 변형능력 향상을 위한 인장 설계식 제안

The purpose of this study is to propose a tensile design equation for cold-formed. Hollow Structural Sectopm(HSS) bracing members for unproving the deformability of the members. Improvement can be achieved by preventing early fracture at the slotted end connection region in bracing members partivularly having a small width-thickness ratio(w/t ratio). For this purpose, experimental tests of bracing members were carried out using quasi static reversed cyclic loading with a symmetric shape in compression and tension. Symmetric shape loading history used in the test was verified by performing nonlinear dynamic analysis of 3 story SCBF under earthquake ground motions. Seven full-scale test specimens were made, which were designed and detailed according to AISC LRFD Manual(2001). In the test, the specimen having a smallest w/t ratio had poor deformable capacity than other specimens. This behavior is contrast to the expectation that the bracing member having smaller w/t ratio has a larger deformable capacity. This is caused by the variablity of material strength in cold-formed HSS and the tensile design equation of the bracing member in current design provision as well as the loading history used in this study. In order to improve deformability of HSS bracing members, this study proposed a tensile design equation.
