We recently had a patient(46 year-old) who was to undergo resection of a pheochromocytoma. The patient was treated with phenoxybenzamine for about 2 weeks preoperatively. Thiopental was used for induction followed by N2O-O2-halothane. An endotracheal semiclosed circle absorption technique with controlled ventillatian was employed. The course of anesthesia was rather stormy, reflectedby hypertension, arrhythmia and hypotension, but the patient talerated the anesthesia and surgery well with appropriate cardiovascular control using regitine, levophed, lidocaineand intravenous fluids. Importance of preoparative preparation, sufficient sedation, smooth induction, complete analgesia, good muscuar relaxation, adequate alveolar ventillation and proper cardiovascular control has been discussed. Recently some reviews of the literature on the anesthetic management of pheochromocytoma suggest that the selection of an anesthetic agent is not as important as the adequate management of the characteristics of these agents which affect the anesthetic procedures.
On the high-order convergence of the k-fold Pseudo-Cauchy's method for a simple root

In this study the $k$-fold pseudo-Cauchy's method of order $k+3$ is proposed from the classical Cauchy's method defined by an iteration $x_{n+1} = x_n - { f^{\prime}(x_n) \over f^{\prime\prime}(x_n) } \cdot \big(1 - \sqrt{1 - 2 f(x_n) {f^{\prime\prime}(x_n) / f ^{\prime} (x_n)^2}}~ \big)$. The convergence behavior of the asymptotic error constant is investigated near the corresponding simple zero. A root-finding algorithm with the $k$-fold pseudo-Cauchy's method is described and computational examples have successfully confirmed the current analysis.
On the order and rate of convergence for pseudo-secant-Newton's method locating a simple real zero

By combining the classical Newton's method with the pseudo-secant method, pseudo-secant-Newton's method is constructed and its order and rate of convergence are investigated. Given a function $f: \R \to \R$ that has a simple real zero $\a$ and is sufficiently smooth in a small neighborhood of $\a$, the convergence behavior is analyzed near $\a$ for pseudo-secant-Newton's method. The order of convergence is shown to be cubic and the rate of convergence is proven to be $\left( \frac{ f^{\pp}(\a) } {2 f^{\pr}(\a)} \right)^2 $. Numerical experiments show the validity of the theory presented here and are confirmed via high-precision programming in Mathematica.

최근 마이스산업이 신성장동력산업으로 떠오르고 있다. 국내의 대부분 MICE행사는 소규모/저비용으로 진행되고 있다. 행사주최자 입장에서는 반복, 소모적으로 발생하는 브로슈어, 홍보물제작 등의 인쇄물 비용의 절감과 행사진행에 필요한 단순 안내진행요원들의 경비 절감을 원하고 있다. 기존 모바일웹은 행사 참가자가 필요한 정보를 바로 얻지 못하고 스스로 정보를 찾고 검색해야 되는 단점이 있다. 따라서 행사기간에 단기적으로 사용할 수 있는 저비용, 고효율의 행사정보 제공 솔루션의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 비콘 기술을 이용한 전시/컨벤션 행사용 통합관리시스템을 구현하였다. 비콘 기술을 적용하여 행사현장 안내시스템을 통한 행사지원 관리의 효율성을 제공하고, 콘텐츠관리시스템(CMS)을 이용한 디지털브로슈어 관리기능을 통한 정보검색 용이성과 비용절감 효과를 높일 수 있다. 소규모 전시/컨벤션 행사에 주최 측의 직접 홈페이지 구축과 현장관리시스템 운영을 통해 효율적인 행사관리를 할 수 있다. MICE industry is emerging as a new growth engine recently. Most of the domestic MICE events are carried out at low cost on a small scale. The event organizers want to cut down on costs of prints such as brochures and other promotional printed materials, as well as the personnel costs for the simple guide job needed on site, which are generated repeatedly and wastefully. The existing mobile web has a defect that the participants can’t easily earn the information in the fixed menu, but have to search by themselves wasting lots of time. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the solution enables providing information efficiently at low cost for short-term use during the events. In this study, we implemented specific total management system for exhibitions and convention using beacon. The information system for exhibitions and events using beacon can raise the management efficiency, and the digital brochure function based on CMS heightens the information retrieval ability and also reduces costs. Organizers can manage their event efficiently in a small exhibition and convention event by running an online website and operate a site management system by them selves.

A convergence behavior is under investigation near a simple real zero for the $k$-fold pseudo-Olver's method defined by extending the classical Olver's method. The order of convergence is shown to be at least $k+3$. The asymptotic error constant is explicitly given in terms of $k$ and the corresponding simple zero. Various numerical examples with a proposed zero-finding algorithm are successfully confirmed with the use of symbolic and computational ability of Mathematica.
불포화폴리에스터 수지와 재생골재를 이용한 재생 폴리머 콘크리트의 강도 및 내구 특성

This study was performed to evaluate the strength and durability properties of recycled polymer concrete using unsaturated polyester resin and recycled aggregates. Unsaturated polyester resin, natural and recycled aggregates and fly ash were used. The mix proportions were determined to satisfy the requirement for the workability and slump according to aggregate sizes (5-10 and 5-25 mm) and unit binder contents (10% and 12%). Tests for the compressive and flexural strength, freezing and thawing and durability for 20% sulfuric solution were performed. The compressive and flexural strength of recycled polymer concrete were in the range of 85~97 MPa and 17.9~20.8 MPa, respectively. The strengths of recycled polymer concrete using recycled aggregate have similar or slightly decreased compared to polymer concrete using natural aggregate. After 300 cycles of freezing and thawing, weight decrease ratio and durability factor of recycled polymer concrete were in the range of 0.13~1.42% and 94~99, respectively.
