융합형 교육을 위한 HRI 적용 교육용 로봇 디자인개발 사례연구 -초등학교 저학년 대상 교육을 중심으로-

현재 로봇은 우리 삶의 다양한 분야에서 도움을 주고 있다. 그 중에서도 교육용 로봇은 융합형 인재를 양성하는데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대되고 있다. 로봇만의 뛰어난 인터랙션 기능은 디지털 디바이스 보다 폭넓은 감성적 커뮤니케이션과 다양한 경험의 기회를 제공한다. 효율성 중심의 컴퓨터 입출력 장치에 의존하지 않고, 로봇이라는 독자적인 객체와의 인터랙티브한 커뮤니케이션을 통해 보다 쉽게 자기주도학습 습관 형성 및 학습 능률 향상을 동시에 도모할 수 있으며, ‘디자인, 스토리, 조화, 공감, 놀이’가 융합된 교육시스템을 통한 창의적 인재를 양성할 수 있다.하지만 기존의 교육용 로봇은 일반 가정에서는 구입하기에는 높은 가격대와 흥미유발 중심으로 로봇 인터랙션 기능이 사용되다보니 시장 확대에 어려움을 겪었다. 보다 실질적인 문제를 파악하기 위해 서비스 디자인 프로세스를 응용하여 사용자 관찰과 인터뷰를 진행하였고, 결과로 로봇 인터랙션 기능의 연계가 부족한 동영상 위주의 교육 콘텐츠와 일대일 커뮤니케이션만 가능한 제한된 로봇 인터랙션 기능에 문제가 있음을 발견하였다. 따라서 생산단가 감소를 위한 스마트 타블렛 탈부착기능 적용, 로봇의 움직임과 교육용 콘텐츠를 잇는 스토리 구성과 캐릭터 디자인(외계인, 위인, 타임머신),주변인(부모, 선생님, 친구)과 함께 학습할 수 있는 다중모션 카메라와 전용 플랫폼을 구성하였다. 최종적으로 세미 워킹 목업, 시각 콘텐츠, 사용 시나리오를 개발을 통해, HRI(Human Robot Interaction)의 실용적인활용 방안을 고안하였다. Recently, the Robot have been useful in our life at the various area. Above all, the educational robot are being evaluated to be a part of training the talented individuals. Interaction functions that only robot can have offer more opportunities to diverse experiences also emotional communications than the digital devices. Without relying on IO devices of the computer, the interactive communication with the robot can improve learning performance and formate the self directed learning easily in parallel. Also It can cultivate creative person with the educational system converged on design, story, harmony, empathy, and play. However the educational robot market has suffered because of very expensive to buy for normal household and robot interaction function was used only for interest inducement. Therefore we did observation of users and many interviews by applied service design methodology for understanding practical problems, as a result, we discovered critical problems came from video clip centered educational content lacking connection with robot interaction and limited function that is only for one-to-one communication. So, we applied the function that is detachable smart tablet for reducing production cost and created structure of story and unique character designs(alien, great men from well-known biographies, timemachine) that bridge between robot motion and educational content. Also we developed customed softwares with multi-motion camera, various sensors, and robot platform for studying with parents, teacher, or friends at the same time. Lastly, we made a semi working mock-up, visual content, and usage scenario for HRI(Human Robot Interaction) of practical use.
